I was talking to a acquaintance of ours who told me there was really good crabs and lobster restaurants near Disneyland in China Town.
Can you verify this info?
He made the food sound wonderful but he had no idea how he got to the place or how close it was to DL. I thought that was kind of funny.

Chinatown, which does have good Chinese food, is in downtown Los Angeles. It is an approximately 35-45 minute drive in light traffic up the I-5N.

I'm wondering if he is not refering to Little Saigon. Many of the Vietnamese there are ethnic Chinese, so there are a quite a few places that do crabs and lobsters.

Little Saigon is about a 10 min driver from Anaheim and it covers 2 neighboring citiies: Westminster and Garden Grove. I would definitely yelp and see if anything comes up.

Also, if you are going up to LA, I would skip Chinatown (near downtown) and go about 10 miles east to the Chinese suburbs of Monterey Park, Alhambra, Rosemead, Temple City, San Gabrilel, and Arcadia. They are where you get some of the best Chinese food in N. America.
