Chilly weather in Disney

We will be in WDW over Christmas, and this will be our first visit during a more chilly season, and don't know what to expect. I realize it's Florida, and we could have temps in the 70's or 40's etc., but if we do hit a cold snap, and are in the parks with much cooler weather, how is it inside the attractions? Of course attractions such as the Hall of Presidents would be nice, but what about Pirates of the Carribean and the like.

All of the indoor attractions are climate-controlled.

We have been in WDW with temps in the 30's and howling winds.
Frosty outside, nice (not too WARM, but pleasant) inside the major rides.

But EVERYONE has an opinon on "temperatures"... so you may get a wide variety of answers (how warm/cool was the last MOVIE THEATER you were in?)

I agree with Robo, all of the indoor rides and restaurants were comfortable. We rode Pirates when it was in the high 40's-low 50's, and we were comfortable.

Yes all the indoor rides are climate controlled, and yes temperatures are all relative to who you are. I have said this a million times and people tell me that 40's are not cold, especially if you are from a cold weather climate, but please believe me 40 in Florida does not feel like 40 in Michigan, since our climate is very damp, 40 can be downright chilly. I have gone to many a MVMCP in a ski jacket!! Just be prepared for all sorts of temps down here in Dec. and Jan. One day it will be 70 and the next day it is 40.

Heck, 40's is PARKA weather for this Floridian! When we were at MVMCP, it was in the low 50's and I was wearing a hat and gloves. My DH says that we cannot live anywhere other than Florida since I am not good with cold weather. What's funny is that I am originally from Indianapolis, IN!

Guess what, my DH say's the same thing and I still live in New England. Will be moving down soon. Can't stand this weather anymore. Anything below 70 to me is cold. I need sun and 70's, not snow and 30's or 40's. It's in the teens now and getting colder . Florida here I come .

Let it be cold. Its in the teens here and it is freezing. I am prepared for cool weather, just not hot. All warm weather clothes are packed away. As I learned when growing up in CA-where layers! I plan to bring sweatshirts and if it gets warm I will have a T-shirt on. Anything above 50 degrees right now would be a heat wave in New England.

Well it's 1 degree outside now. This is not what I wanted. Oh well only one more year of this. I too ware layers just to stay warm. We were there last January and I would put on in the morning tee's and a sweatshirt by the afternoon the sweatshirt would be off. DH would have shorts but not me. I did have the tee shirt and long pants. But that's bettter than up here with two layers of clothes and a coat to go out side.

We were just there on 12/9 to the 12th and it was so cold but the attractions have heaters in them. Everything in Fantasyland had heaters in the rides.

As long as you're prepared for the cold, you should be OK. We were there last year for Christmas, and I certainly wasn't prepared for it! The 40 degree weather in Florida seemed PAINFUL compared to the 20 or 30 degree weather we get here in Philly.

Most of the time I was bundled up in jeans, T-shirt, long sleeve T, fiancees sweater, my peacoat and his hat. People can't believe the pictures I show them of us in Florida all bundled up.

But, when you think about it....it's Disney! Who cares if it's cold
