I am so jealous! I haven't purchased anything for the kids yet. (Except one set of Cube World, which I plan to return).
They won't give me a list. I only let them choose 3 things and DS is holding out to make a final decision.

I would have thought this too, when I was a kid I would have rather died than get a toothbrush. BUT, both my dd 5 and niece 4 go gaga over new toothbrushes! Kind of embarrasing, but dd has 8 toothbrushes! Whatever it takes to get her excited!

Um ... those are *stocking stuffers* and are not really "gifts".

We've always put useful items in stockings, as well as some little luxuries and fun things. Nothing wrong with that.

We also do useful items in the stockings ie; toothbrushes, soap, chapsticks etc... the tooth Fairy also always brings a toothbrush/paste along with $1.

Throughout the year when I replace their toothbrushes they either get the free ones from the dentist or whatever I pick up at the grocery store, but Santa always brings them a character one, usually a spinbrush so it's a treat for them.

Santa puts those spin brushes in our stockings and usually several character toothbrushes along with that nasty kiddie toothpaste that DS always wants but I wont buy LOL. Santa also brings fun soaps and deodorants and cologne (for the oldest) along with sock and undies in the stocking and their favorite junk food mommy wont buy. Both of our boys have always seemed pleased with that.
