Chicks and Roosters...part 2

Good morning!

Argh, it's Monday again. Drat. I'm not ready for another week but at least we get Friday off. My weekend was pretty nice. I finally saw "Up". It was such a sweet movie.

We still haven't made it to see UP yet. If I don't take the kids soon it will be too late and we'll have to wait for it to come out on video.

I got my hair colored yesterday. Way too many gray hairs were peeking out. Now I feel much better having all one color again.

I have to go to Colin's school today to pick up his new sweatshirts for next year. It's hard to even think of that when it's 98 degrees outside.

Sweatshirts? I could use one at the moment. It's not that warm out and somebody had the air conditioning on this moring (it's only 9:30). I'm freezing.

How did the aquarium trip go?

Oh yes, Good Morning!

Just a quick check in and hello because we are off to visit another college this morning. I have to wake the kids very shortly and be on the road in a little over an hour. We are going to UL which is the University of Louisiana and check out what they have to offer.

The Aquarium was very nice and yes it's the one you went to on the river. Trying to find inside activities is a must down here because it's just so darn hot. Since we haven't been there in many years it was nice to revisit. We went next door to the riverwalk for a little shopping and lunch after that.

Happy Thursday! :)

Thursday already? I'm so glad I have tomorrow off. I overslept by about 20 minutes today which always makes my day seem off. I have a very particular routine in the morning! Do you have any good plans for the 4th?

I have a picnic to go to Saturday morning and then the rest of the day is in limbo.

We were invited to my sil's house tomorrow for a BBQ and swim. I think that's what we'll do then that night about five minutes from us on the lake they have a fireworks show. We bring our lawn chairs and swat the misquitoes and we enjoy the display.

Are you off today for a long weekend?

Happy 4th of July!

Yes, I was off yesterday. It was great. I'm in the process of baking cookies right now. We went to the picnic this morning and now I'm home. I'll be heading to my parent's house for dinner tonight. We'll just watch fireworks on tv!

Happy 6th of July!

Back at work. Drat. It was a nice weekend. I wasn't terribly productive but I did make ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. I basically ignored the diet this weekend. That's what holidays are for right?

Has your daughter decided on any colleges? It's great that you are able to visit them. I think out of the three that I applied to, I had only visited one and that was the one that I chose. I'm so glad I did.

Oh home made ice cream sounds yummy. I haven't had that in years.

Kelsie takes her Senior Pictures today. I'm sure I'll come home broke.

We got over an inch and a half of rain yesterday. We really need it but it lasted all day long. That's the kind of days I like to curl up on the sofa and watch old movies.

Yes, a rainy day is great for good movies. The weatherman predicted rain for us . . . In December. I'm not kidding, that's what he said last night. Oh goody. Glad we are looking so far into the future. I'll bring my umbrella along in a few months.

I can not seem to wake up this week! I've been oversleeping and having a hard time getting out of bed.

TGIF! This week seemed to go by very fast for us. I think it was just a very busy week. I got Kelsie's proofs back yesterday. They took fourteen pictures and we actually agreed on which ones we liked best. I can order up to four poses but I think we'll just do the two we really like. One of the cap and gown and the other in the drape.

Any big weekend plans? We don't have anything going on except Kelsie has work. Other than that we're open. :confused3

We're always so late seeing movies. I always have good intentions of going to the theater but some how we never get there. Anyway, we just watched Sisters of the Traveling Pants and Transformer. I loved the pants movie and just rented the second one which we'll watch today. The kids want to go see Transformer II so we rented the first one so we would know what's going on. I actually liked that movie which I didn't think I would.

Good morning!

I think I forgot to drop by here yesterday! The week moved quick enough but I wish it were another long weekend. That way I wouldn't be at work today!

I'm glad you were able to agree on pictures. That's half the battle. I always hated that.

Mom and I might go see The Proposal this weekend. She really wants to see it and my dad is working so I'll probably go with her. Next week is all about Harry Potter so I'll take my dad to see that. Have you seen Inkheart or Confessions of a Shopaholic? I rented both of those last weekend and they were both cute. Not great but good enough to rent!

We saw Shopaholic last weekend and I thought it was cute. I'll have to put Inkheart on my list of movies to rent next week. We rent movies every Tuesday because at our local place it's $2.00 Tuesday and they are five day rentals. Harry Potter isn't a movie or series of movies that my kids ever got into. I think we saw the first two and they never wanted to see any more of them. I guess you either are all in and love them or not. I even mentioned we could rent all of them one week and have a marathon but they weren't interested. :confused3

Happy Saturday!

Good morning! Monday again.

It's probably a good thing your kids aren't into HP. I thin kthere are a enough of us obsessed fans to make up for it! My mother and I saw The Proposal yesterday and it was pretty cute. Predictable but cute.

I spent Saturday shopping with my mom. We went to the Hallmark ornament premier so now I am all ready for Christmas! I wasn't quite ready for that.

I guess it's almost Christmas in July.

I was just talking about that the other day. I'm an early Christmas shopper but not this early. :rotfl:

I've been having some computer problems with Internet Explorer 8 that's on my computer and it won't let me uninstall it. Some days I can't even sign on. Last night I set my computer to go back to May and it seems to be working better now. Mark wants to get a lap top as a spare because the kids all do some of their homework on it. School starts back up here on August 7th. Summer is almost over for us. I actually started buying school supplies yesterday. :guilty:

Good morning!

Sorry about your computer problems. I started having a lot of trouble with IE7 opening at home. I've switched to Firefox almost exclusively. I really like it now that I'm used to it. It just seems to take a long time to open.

I'm thinking of getting a netbook of some sort. Not for the heavy work/games but for the internet. I'm not sure yet. I need to sell some stuff to make some money first!

Good afternoon! It's actually evening here now. It's been another one of those days when I haven't had a break at all. I'm really ready to go home. Daisy was up every hour last night. She had some stomach issues and I had to let her out regularly. Poor thing. I hope she's better tonight.

I'm sorry little Daisy isn't feeling well. It's sad when our pets are sick and they can't tell us how to make them feel better. How's her training coming along?

Well I've got the Geek Squad coming out on Wednesday. Hopefully my computer problems will be a thing of the past after that.

Good morning!

Daisy seems to be fine now. She was in full force last night when I got home from work and slept all night. I think she ate too much of my parents' dog's food.

I'm glad you are getting help with your computer. I hate not being connected!

I keep thinking today is Friday. I sure wish it was!
