Chicks and Roosters...part 2

Well I took Kendall to cheer :cheer2: camp this morning. She's all settled in, I used lots of Clorox wipes to clean that little room as best as I could and the noise level from being around so many cheer leaders was to say the least ....very loud. We're going back tonight because each squad performs their home routine for all the parents.

Susan, enjoy your weekend.

Good morning!

Cheer camp must be close by huh? How did things go? I had a busy weekend cleaning my house. I've got friends coming so that's when it all gets a thorough cleaning! I finally figured out the best way to clean my bathtub was with good ol' manual labor. I finally accepted that buying new and improved cleaning supplies really wasn't going to get the job done.

Good Morning Susan.

Yesterday we had to get Kendall out of the dorms by 7 AM. The College is only about 45 minutes away so we left at 6:00. Her squad did really good. They came home with four 1st place tropheys. :cheer2:

This morning she has an ortho appointment then my dad is having surgery on his hand. That hospital is only about fifteen minutes away from the Dentist so we'll head over and sit with my mom when she's done.

How was your weekend?

Good morning. Hope all goes well with your dad's surgery. It's always hard having family go through that. I'm so glad Kendall did so well!

My weekend was good. I've got friends coming this weekend so I'm trying to prepare for them. I'm to a point where they are good enough friends that I don't bother putting everything away but I like to have things looking nice. Except my bedroom. It's beyond hope.

My dad's surgery went well but did take a little longer than they expected. It's always so nervewracking sitting waiting and just watching the clock. He came home yesterday afternoon still very medicated and not in any pain at all. I hope he had a good night but it's still a little early to call my mom to check on him.

Today's the day to hopefully get all my computer problems solved. Somewhere between 8 AM and noon is my appointment time slot with the Geek Squad but I'm really hoping it will be closer to 8:00 since I had to set the alarm and get ready. If for some reason I'm MIA for a while you'll know it's because I have no computer at all. That really better not happen.

I'm sending out good computer vibes your way! Of course it's 9 am here, which means it's 11 am there. Hopefully the Geek Squad showed up and fixed it! I hope your dad continues to do well. The second day is always more painful than the first thanks to wonderful drugs! I'll send a prayer his way for quick healing.

Nothing much to report here. Daisy slept through the night without having tummy troubles for the first night in a while. We are trying to figure out the trigger.

Uh oh. You haven't been back. That's not a good sign! What's up with the computer?

Good Morning Susan. You guessed right that we had major computer problems. We got a new Dell desktop so hopefully all the computer issues are gone for now.

This is the last week of summer for my kids. School starts back on Friday and they aren't all to happy about that. So how have you and Daisy been?

Yay! You are back! I'm sorry you were off line for so long! How did you handle it???? Congrats on the new computer!

School starts early! I don't think the kids go back until the 20th here.

Everything is good with me. Work has been busy. Daisy is great. She's a nut and part goat I think. She's obsessed with paper and sticks. I can't tell you how many times I've pulled things out of her mouth.

Kendall has cheer practice this morning then we'll head to Walmart to get any last minute things the kids might need for school. Kelsie and Kendall stay at the same schools but Colin changes this year. I think he's starting to get a little nervous about that.

I remember the feeling of changing school. It was the worst. Where I grew up we had 4 schools. (well technically 3) One school was K-3, another was 4-6, then Jr. High which was on the 4-6 campus but at the other side, then high school. My mom taught 1st grade so I was at her school for K-3 and then had to go to a new school where she wasn't. It was awful! I was so nervous and then I missed the bus!

Well, school started Friday and was a great success. It did feel rather weird not having a house full of kids and no noise. Today is day two and they aren't as excited about going as they were on Friday. What I'm dreading the most is the homework. :sad2:

How was your weekend? Yesterday we had a little impromptu BBQ. It was very hot but afterwards we all went to our subdivision pool to cool off.

Good morning!

I can't believe it's Monday again! I'm sure your kids will adjust to being back in school. They always do! I used to hate the second day as well.

I saw Julie and Julia this weekend and it was soooo good! Much better than the book. If you have time this week, grab a girlfriend and go see it. Meryl Streep is amazing.

I'm glad to hear that Julie and Julia was a good movie. I loved the preview and want to see it.

We survived the first night of homework. It really wasn't too bad. Not to say it isn't going to get there but at least they seem to be easing the kids into it.

Ack. Homework. Yuck. Good luck with that!

I'm bored at work. We're really slow right now but that's pretty typical. People are getting geared up to go back to school and vacations are winding down. We'll get busy again in September when people start thinking of holiday travel.

Good Morning Susan. So how's the weather in sunny California? It's still super hot and humid here. Yesterday I went to Kendall's school to sell school items during the lunch hour. I felt like I was melting and I'm going back for round two today. :sad2:

Good morning! It's interesting weather here. Not terribly warm - mid 80's, but cold in the morning. On my drive to work, I left my house and it was sunny, hit heavy fog, and now here at work it's sunny again. Then of course we've got another fire burning so every now and then the sky turns orange and we have ashes falling!

Crazy!

Enjoy your day at school!

Well it's Monday again. The weekends always go by so fast. At least that's what my kids say. Mark and Colin spent all day Saturday at the ballpark because it's almost time for Fall Baseball. They had evaluations Saturday. I'm really excited for it to start up again and fill my Saturdays.

How was your weekend?

Good morning!

Yes, Monday again. Drat. My weekend was pretty good, I got a lot done at home which was nice. I'm trying to organize my room. It's pretty much the only room in my house that continues to be chaos. I have too many clothes.
