I am so sorry that happened to you! That would upset me big time, too. I know how those tiny little buttons on those digital cameras can be difficult to maneuver and, yes, there is often not enough protection or warning before that "Delete All Pics" option. I've come close to doing it several times in broad daylight.
Was it something like a "Delete All Pics" option or a "Format Flash Card" option that you think you hit? If it was something like "Delete All Pics", that might well be recoverable, with the right device and software. However, if it was something like a "Format Flash Card" option, the card would most likely have been totally wiped clean.

I went yesterday afternoon to pick up my card. I really didn't have a good feeling that they would be able to recover my pictures but was holding out hope for a nice surprise. I told Mark now he has to take us back to recapture all those memories. He wasn't buying it. We are actually planning our next vacation for next summer. We love going to the Smokey Mountains in Tenneessee and it's been about five or six years since we've last been there. We'll skip Disney for a year or two. Probably go back sometime in 2011.
