We had Danielle's 8th graduation ceremony yesterday morning.
Now I have 2 girls in high school.

Oh yeah, good morning! It's hot here. Really, really, really hot. Supposed to be 98 today. This is not good for all us used to year round 70 degree weather.

Holy Cow Joanne! Time does fly. Is she excited to be going into High School or a little scared? Your kids are just getting out of school for summer and my kids only have 6 1/2 weeks left till school starts back up.

It's Friday!

Colin's little league team (Astros) won their second playoff game last night.

We go to the finals at 8:15 tomorrow morning.

I was so hyped after the game last night I couldn't sleep. Strange I know.

I know, time is going to fast. I can't believe it either.
She's excited. It's the whole middle school that moves over to that high school.

The east ends late. The elementary schools end on Wednesday.
Valerie's last final is today and they don't have to go back.
Danielle has to go in Monday & Tuesday for finals- even though they graduated.
We go back after Labor day.

Wow! your kids have 6 1/2 weeks left? That doesn't seem like much at all.
Are they enjoying the summer so far?

Greetings from the heat wave. Supposed to be 102 today. My dog woke me up every hour last night by gasping by my head. She wanted to make sure I knew she was hot.

Latest report is that it's currently 108!

Save that heat for when I get out to San Francisco in two weeks!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the heat. We just had a heat wave up here, high 90's for 4 days, I loved it!!!

Jeanny it's so good to see you. How are things?

Busy weekend over here. Colin had his championship game on Saturday and they lost. Close game of 10-9. We were all on the edge of our seats for that one. They came in 2nd place overall. After the game we had a team party with swimming, hot dogs, hamburgers and most importantly for the kids they each got a trophy.

Yesterday we went to Outback after Church and I had the most delicious Steakhouse Salad. I brought my own dressing because of the whole Weight Watchers things but it was still yummy.

When's FAB coming home, anyone know?

Sorry Colin lost his game but 2nd is pretty darn good! Congradulations to him!

We had a busy weekend, a wedding (which I ate way too much) and a christian conference all day Saturday. No, I'm not very religious but my friend is such a sweetheart anything she asks me to go, I can't say no to her.

They had a singer Nicole Mullin who was fantastic and a comedian Louise Duart who was very funny.

Good morning! The heat wave is over! We are back in the 70's. It was about 110 on Sat and it was horrible. My dogs are both still sick from overheating. We did everything we could to cool them down but they still suffered. In related news, I ordered myself a portable air conditioner so next heat wave, I'll be ready!

OK Susan here's a stupid question for you. Do you really not have air condition in your house? How nice if you really don't need it. We have ours going about nine months out of the year.

Nope, no air conditioning. Most homes in the area don't have them, although the businesses do so I was fine at work. We only have about 20 really hot days a year but it is pretty miserable when they happen.

I can't wait to see the Toy Story ride, that is one of my top ten movies maybe even top 5.

Susan, I didn't realize not everyone has air conditioning. I thought it warmer longer then you said. But as you stated when it does get hot, it's so big the country knows about it.


At least you'll have the a/c for the next heat wave.

Good morning and happy hump day to you.

I'll be stranded without a car for the next couple of days. We are putting Mark's Durango in the shop this morning to have the brakes looked at so that means he takes my Armada to work. My plan is to tackle the laundry room today. We have a nice sized one and it tends to be a catch all when I don't know where to put things. I hope to have an organized, pretty, everything in it's place, cleaned up with room to spare room by lunch time today.
