Chicks and Roosters...part 2

Good morning! Today is the day I see the Dr! Today I find out if they will take the pins out tomorrow! Yeah!

Welcome back Fab. Tell me about that ride!

I hope you got good news Susan! :wizard:

Good morning all!

Tricia sounds like you'll be having a whoe lotta fun today. ;)

Joanne I had so much fun that I organized the pantry as well. We took everything out and it looks so good now. Too pretty to mess up. :lmao: I still have a hall closet that needs help but I'm saving that for another day. I have to spead all that fun around. ;)

Good morning!

Have fun with that laundry room! It's a chore.

Well, I am not having surgery today. It's rescheduled for next Wednesday because it's going to involve more than he thought. One of the pins has moved and it's pretty deep so I need a full appointment at the surgery center. The good news is I have a removable splint so I can take it off to shower! :hyper: It felt so good to really wash my arm.

Hey all! From all the fun exciting laundry and bill paying I did yesterday, I totally forgot to post!

The toy story ride is different from any ride I've done - it's an arcade style ride, but you pull a string to "shoot" targets - and what you shoot are rings, balls, pies (I think) and a number of other things. You wear 3D glasses and the effects are pretty cool. Every 20 seconds or so, you move to a new screen, with different targets and different 3d projectiles. :3dglasses

It was crazy - the fastpasses were gone by noon. The only reason we got on it was b/c we convinced customer relations to exchange fastpasses that were a day old (a kid in our group started to succumb to the heat, so we had to leave before using them) for ones that would work the day we went.

Susan - glad you finally get to wash that arm! I messed up my thumb once and had a cast on for ages, made me crazy! A friend of mine had a cast and used to use a hanger to scratch inside it. Which probably wasn't a great idea, now that I think about it.

Tricia - enjoy the cleaning! I seem to get to a point of disaster containment and lose interest. I hate being without a car b/c I am so bad at grocery planning - I'm always out of something.

Muffy - that is neat that Toy Story ranks so high with you. I'm more a Mulan or Lilo and Stitch person, but of course, we own them all.

Arkmom - what have you been doing with all that time off?

Some other trip details - I was there for 6 days, and met with some of the women from the old "new moms" thread, which was really neat. They had the fastpass/baby swap thing down to a science, so we got on most rides easily. I ate at Sci Fi Diner and Chefs de France for the first time - I enjoyed both. Madeleine ate butter for dinner in France. I took Kailey to Cirque du Soleil and she LOVED it. Almost as much as she loved Rock N Roller coaster, my favorite ride. :cool1:

And now.. I don't even have any plans for Thanksgiving. Zilch until next Feb. What are you doing for Christmas, Arkmom? ;)

Morning all

Fab, your trip sounds great. Thanks for the tip on the Toy Story ride. That's amazing the fast passes were all gone by noon!
It's so nice you got to meet with other ladies and their kids. :cool1:

Did Soarin' still have those long lines with the fastpasses gone?

I'm sorry it was rescheduled:hug: but as you said that's good news about the splint! :cool1:
It will all be over soon enough. :thumbsup2

Good Morning.

I actually slept until 7:15 today. That might be my record. Colin was up before me and playing Webkinz on the computer so I had to wait my turn. :worried:

Good news on the car front. They fixed Mark's brakes yesterday so I have a vehicle. :moped: No cleaning out the hall closet for me today. :thumbsup2

FAB that new ride sounds fun. I'm sure the kids will love it when we go next May. I hear you about the fast passes being gone by noon. Every time we go that's what happens. :confused3

Good morning!

I can't wait to do the Toy Story ride. It's at California Adventure too. My hope is that by November, the lines won't be as long, plus the lines are rarely that long at CA Ad.

Susan do you have a trip planned for November?

I go to DL every November. This year, I'll go right before Thanksgiving. I have to go before my APs expire. :cool1:

Yes, the trip was unexpectedly great and I loved meeting people from the dis boards. On the other hand, some of us are on these boards as a supplement to the rest of our lives, and some people ... spend a lot of time creating drama. But in the end, it was all good. ;)

We could get Soarin' fastpasses in the morning for the early afternoon - I think they were always available, but got to be pretty late at night. But like I said, we were commando! :moped:

Tricia - I actually miss Webkinz. Kailey and I did that on slow mornings while Madeleine slept, and I really enjoyed buying a trampoline, etc. Yes, I have my own. It's a lion, Kailey would remember his name, but she's out in the rain right now.

Happy Friday! I hope you are all off and busy today!

I'm looking at a fairly quiet weekend. I have to clean my house for company next weekend. It shouldn't be too difficult as it's mostly paper clutter that seems to build up.

I missed you all this morning. Mark took a day off today and of course he gets up before me. When I got up the coffee was made :lovestruc but he was hogging the computer. Oh well, I guess I have to share.

I had to take Colin back to the Dr. today. He started complaining about his ear again two days ago. The doctor said it was a middle ear infection (which is what I thought) but he has been swimming so much I wanted to make sure it wasn't swimmers ear.

That ear infection/swimmers ear is so hard to know without looking inside. Aaron got an infection on his eardrum a few weeks ago (I think that's the middle ear?) and b/c he flies twice a week for his job, that was pretty awful.

And because we're all swimming a lot more now, since we moved to Texas, that we're all having some ear issues during the adjustment period.

I *hate* sharing my computer. I actually have a ban on using my computer and lock the room that it's in. That's awful of me, I know. :smokin:

Geez, 3 seconds I'm typing, the little one is crying. Ugh. :surfweb:

Ruffles - that's my Webkinz lion's name.

Remember all on my own. :cool1:

Good morning all

Be careful all you swimmers with your ears.

Anyone going to see Wall-E? I saw it got very good reviews. Danielle and DH are going tomorrow. He likes the Pixar movies, as do I but they always see the movies first.

Good morning chicks. Joanne I've got a full pot of coffee brewing. Are you on to the second pot yet? :surfweb:

Let us know what Danielle thinks of Wall-E. I might take the kids next week. I never like seeing a movie when it first comes out. I hate when the theather is so crowded. :crowded:

Good morning!

I'm currently trying to type using all my fingers, without wearing my splint. It's not so bad! There's a little pain and my pinkie finger isn't used to being useful but I'm sure it will all come back to me soon. Yeah!

Take care of those ears and have a great Saturday!

Good suggestion on the ears - we were all feeling it before we went to WDW.

DH is with Kailey right now at that E movie - and then they're off to Chuy's.

I'm still in my pj's, burning my credit card up at Amazon. :surfweb:

Glad your hand is feeling pretty good, Susan!
