Chicken Little

Sorry if this has been asked....

At the last minute, we can't use our free passes. :(

Can i just give the email to a friend - will they be able to use it, or will they ask for ID, like seeing my disney visa?

TIA.

Please, does anyone know if someone else can use this pass?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered (altho i did a quick check and i don't think so?) but it would be a shame to go to waste. And yet i don't want to embarrass friends if they arrive and can't use it.

If anyone's been to a similar preview, please tell me what you think.

Thanks.

I belive the only ID you need is your Disney Visa. I am beating the name on it doesn't mater.

My friend got hers (I emailed the adress and directions to her and she did it after it was posted.) I did it before it was posted. I never got the email.

I plan on going anyway with the email she got and bring my Visa (like I leave home with out it. ;) )

However before you jump all over me she is only using 2 of her tickets and we need 3 and my DD can sit on my lap if the place is crowded. We won't take seats from others. (most of the time isn't totally full in the past.)

If they don't let us in I will go shopping instead since it is at the mall. (DH will take DD in with her extra 2 tickets.)

Thanks for the reply, DisneyPhD! :)

I agree, i doubt very much if they'll care *who* is using the invitation.

Plus, i imagine with all the little munchkins running around, they'll just be happy to get people into their seats! ;)

Hope you have a great time!

honestly, I kind of hope they do care who is using them. I hope they require an i.d. with a name to get in. This is supposed to be an event for families to enjoy, I assume, but what happens if 800 people decide to try and get in without official invites? I'm hoping, being a newbie at this, that it won't be a madhouse, so that the kids(mine and the others there) can enjoy the experience- I'm a little apprehensive about doing this, and have been wondering what the usual protocol is for an event like this...not saying you personally were going to do that, but what if?... :confused3

You still need your Disney Visa with you. You also need the invite, so unless you know someone who has it, you can't just show up and and walk in. (I think.)

It is not adverstised, so there won't be 800 people showing up (unless they read about it here.)

We have gone to see National Treasure with this type of experience. We had to show our computer invitation, but they didn't check our name or Disney Visa. The theater was less than half full though.

You will note that the invite says "Please arrive early to the screening. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. This invitation does not guarantee a seat...."

If her friend has an invitation for 4 people and wants to share it, I don't see how that is a problem. If my dh and dd can't go, I will be taking my SIL and nephew.

Oh, of course - taking an extra kid to use one of the tix spaces is no problem, I was thinking of doing the same, my dh won't be going, so we might bring a friend.... I guess we'll just plan on going early and bring a book to read! :sunny:

If it makes anyone feel better a very kind Dis member has pm'd me and offered me her seats for that showing sense her family is not able to use them, so we won't be taking up extra room at all. (heck I might bring my niece now! :cool1: )

I know it makes me feel better. Thank you Dis! :goodvibes

Hey Disney Doc,

that's likely what will happen when you think of how many people read these boards! :) :) :)

So true, but so far on the Diser's from Michigan thread I think there is only around a few hundred of us, and only half of them are in the metro detroit area. But then again you never know about lerkers. (even then the need a copy of the email...........)

Next time I am not going to send my email out early. I have learned my lesson! :badpc: :rolleyes1

This is our first prescreening. We went to Sky High and Valiant with Disney Visa. How early do we have to be there? WE live a little over an hour away. DH promised the kids we would take them. Now he has to work from midnight-8am. I am worried that we will drive all that way and get left out. Has anyone been to a Cleveland prescreening?

So, we just got back from our day out seeing Chicken Little! We got there first, about 8:50a (I wasn't taking any chances!) and we waited till 9:15a before a line formed. The theater wasn't full.

There was a DJ/CM from Radio Disney there passing out Chicken Little trick or treat bags and Chicken Little trading cards. Then she did 5 trivia questions for toothbrushes.

Then she told us to head over to the mall afterwards because Chicken Little and Mickey himself would be there for photos till 4:00p I think with the Radio Disney crew.

Chicken Little was great. VERY funny and we LOVED the music.

Afterwards we went over to the mall to meet Chicken Little and the big cheese himself. All in all we had a GREAT day!

Thanks Disney Visa! (this was our 7th free movie from Disney Club and now Disney Visa and we are very happy customers)

beattyfamily, how neat!!

We went to the one in Raleigh. It was a very cute movie. We got there about 9:45 and got right in. It wasn't nearly as full as I'd feared, thanskfully, as we had planned to arrive earlier.
No freebies that I know of though, maybe we missed them :(
The movie was very cute! the boys really enjoyed it! :)

We went too. I case you don't remember I emailed early and didn't get the invite, but my friend forwarded it. Well she didn't end up going and the theature was well over half empty. :flower:

Nothing speical that I could see. The just glanced at the paper, didn't ask for the visa or anything. I think if we needed 5 seats you could of just printed it up twice.

The man behind me was talking about how he never pays for movies any more, just goes to free previews. I don't think he was there for the Disney Visa, It apeared he worked for some places that sets up the promotions. He said there were preivews all around the metro Detroit area this morning. (there were some closer to my house.)

We got there around 9:40 and it started a bit late too. (10:07 or so.) They had previews for the saggy dog and mine yours and ours.

The mall had lots of events and parties for halloween, but nothing specail for this that I could see. Too cool to see Chicken Little and Mickey. I doubt DD would of wanted to anyway. She will when at WDW, but dosn't like them outside of that environment. :confused3

It was rather scarey in placs, but she did allright on my lap and says she liked it in the end. (she didn't cry at all, but asked to leave once during the chase seen. It was funny for adults and kids, there was some humor I could do with out (moslty the spice girls song. I am happy they feel out of fashon by the time DD was born, but now she is going to like that song just because she heard it on a Disney movie! ) Oh well, not the ned of the world! ;)

Cute, should be a hit for Disney.

Glad I got free tickets. I would of missed it if it wasn't for someone on Dis reminding me. Thanks, :goodvibes

We went this morning as well (Hartford / New Haven). 90% of the people in line were wearing ESPN sweatshirts, jackets, ID badges, etc. I figured that was the reason for the few tickets released since ESPN headquarters is 5 minutes from the theater.

Turned out they had TWO theaters showing the movie. One side was for ESPN / ABC folks and then the other was for the "common folks". Our theater was half full (if that) but I have a feeling they were holding back tickets on our side just in case ESPN's theater filled up.

The movie was GREAT! My DD and DNephew both age 5 LOVED it. There were no giveaways but a woman who seemed to be "in charge" was taking comments about the movie at the end.

Definitely a great day! :)

I LOVE CHICKEN LITTLE!!! :teeth: We were the only family of all adults in the theater (me, FI, mom, dad) and we all loved it. We all thought it was pretty funny. My mom is now head over heels in love with Chicken Little. THere was nothing special at all, but it was still fun to get in for free.

Glad to hear you liked it! I cant wait, im like a little kid! I had some Movie Cash Certificates that were expiring 10/31, and, i got to purchase advanced Tickets to see Chicken Little with them. We are going on the opening day, Friday! My kids have the Video game and love it. Its funny

we went in Plainville also this a.m.- no extras given out- but the movie was really cute- I agree about the"if ya wanna be my lover" song... thought it was a little much for little kids to be singing in the backseat- the dk's thought the movie was great!

We went this am in Atlanta. They had it on 2 screens. We too were first in line! Got there just before 9am, and the line started about 9:25am. The kids all got cute Chicken Little Buttons that say "The Sky is Falling". Our screen was half full, and I don't think the other screen was full either. Met a DISer,stschaefer, there with his daughter and DW. Very nice family! Kids enjoyed the movie, and DH and I thought it was fun. Not my favorite Disney movie, but worth seeing. All in all a very fun morning!
