Chick-Fil-A - what to order

Another vote against the nuggets. Even DD9 won't eat them. Just a regular classic fillet sandwich with a pack of mayo for it and the waffle fries does the trick.

Sidebar, their old old chicken salad recipe that was almost yellowish green tinted was the best. I think it disappeared in the 90s.

The condiments are on the side. As a native Texan, I have high standards for tortilla soup and I consider theirs to be delicious. It's a great choice if you're watching your diet.

I love the chick. for sure you need to go with the classic sandwich and fries, but I also LOVE the kale crunch salad. It is a side salad size and SOOO good. I would love it if they made an entree sized kale salad.

Nuggets and Mac and cheese. I just had the spicy chicken sandwich for lunch but it was today’s free treat in our local CFA’s 12 Days of Treats. I would never order it. I threw the bun away. It’s all about the chicken for me.

You have to get the regular chicken sandwich. My go to order is number 1 combo and the chicken minis when there for breakfast

I didn’t really like the Mac & Cheese thought it was Stouffer's like.

I have to go out of town this afternoon to pick up some final items for my bathroom remodel. I am planning on going to Chick-Fil-A for lunch, we don't have one here and I am usually down there on Sunday's when they are closed. So this will be my first time going to Chick-Fil-A. What should I order? The sandwhich? Nuggets? Fries? Mac & Cheese?

deluxe chicken sandwich (or spicy). If you want grilled, tell them that you want that instead.

Peppermint milkshake - it's seasonal. I really like their peach one in the summer.

The sandwich will only have the chicken and pickles. Any other condiments you want to add you need to ask for and they will come in packets.

What to get? Look to the left and go to Five Guys Burgers, LOL. That's what I do, at the mall where my closest Chickfila is, haha.

In seriousness, I would get the spicy chicken sandwich, skip the waffle fries, they were soft and terrible. The milkshakes were fantastic. Chickfila when I tried it was like, meh, it's a chicken sandwich. It was good, sure, but I'm just not fond of chicken. I don't think I've ever had any other chicken sandwich elsewhere so I can't compare it to others. It would be fun to go get a sandwich from several places, Chick, Popeyes, and Wendy's, but that would be an all day adventure and around 150 miles on the car to gather it all up, LOL. I do however jump on the motorcycle and head out after work specifically to ride 50 miles one way to get Five Guys burger for dinner, but that's what us bikers do. I've gone 200 miles one way just to go to lunch. As it's 55° 2 weeks from Christmas, I'd jump on the bike now to go 200 miles for a bite to eat if it wasn't raining.

I'm just popping in to say I thought the waffle fries were awful and the milkshake was fantastic. Just not a fan of chicken. I'd look for a Five Guys or Wendys. I am also not a fan of mustard so I only tried a fry dip in the sauce. Didn't like it but that's because I don't like mustard, not because it was not good.

I don't get the pickles on the chicken sandwich. That's just weird to me. Tasted weird, pulled them off. Cheap FF pickles anyways, they're never good.

My favorite is the chargrilled chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and lemonade. But their signature menu item is the Chick-fil-A sandwich, which is breaded. It's good too.

We don't have one near us anymore but I really want to try the peppermint chip milkshake. That sounds right up my alley.

I usually do the nuggets and get both the Polynesian and the Buffalo sauce. Dip each nugget in each and you get a hot and sweet thing going. Really good.
