I've been thinking a lot about the Post Season and how many of our old rivalries and "curses" have been magically removed before the team ever gets to them. It's like this is a whole new team and all of that stuff is in the past.

1. The Cards were never even in the Post Season, so we don't need to play them.
2. The Mets were knocked out by the Giants, so we don't need play them.
3. NLDS Game 3, Cubs have a terrible 8th inning and lose their lead like NLCS Game 6 in 2003 (the "Bartman Game"). UNLIKE 2003, the Cubs fight back to tie in the 9th instead of laying down and go on to win the next game.
4. The Giants now have the goat curse thanks to Spock the goat. Thanks buddy!
   
5. The Dodgers take care of both Dusty Baker and Daniel Murphy, so we don't have to play them.

It would have been great to play (1), (2) and (5) to "even up the score" but that's so ... negative. I'm glad we're going forward and not looking back trying to make up for mistakes in the past.

We have one for the Central, bought one for the Division and have budgeted to buy 2 more Also have them on our cars, garden flag and pumpkin. I have brought one to fly at Sports Corner, Bernie's, Merkle's(Currently the Pink Flamingo again for Joe lol) or WHEREVER I am at when the W happens. By our family brick outside the stadium... Just held up the flag with my brother showing the team buses as they departed for O'Hare for the Giants road Trip..FLY THE W!!!!!!!!!!!!

and if the weather isn't cooperating, hang the W inside the window !

Ours just arrived Thursday and we put up the flag pole bracket this afternoon!

DH was going to grab a drink to celebrate after leaving Wrigley but I just got a text that it's too crazy and he's headed home. Looking forward to tomorrow....I'll be there!

Oh, the Dodgers evening up the score was my fault...I went downstairs to straighten up the kitchen before going to bed. As soon as I was back on the couch we pulled ahead.

What an awesome game! I don't think I have ever heard Wrigley that LOUD as it was when Miggy hit that grand slam.
A guy sitting next to us left after the 7th inning. We were all shocked. I bet he regrets that!

So we have a 5 game series now folks! Kyle was great last night, as well as the BP. 1 pitch got us, that's it....they beat us by one pitch last night. So far we have outscored the Dodger's and I plan on seeing that continue! Our Boys in Blue do great on the road and we all know Jake is top notch in CA. I know TV wants this to go to game 7 for ratings (talkin to you Joe Buck and your love fest for Kershaw/ Dodger's)and $..the Ump celebrating with Roberts after the game was about as unprofessional as it gets (esp after that call on KB's last at bat) so that tells me to expect a LOT more b.s. calls. On the up side we don't have Pete Rose 100 feet from Wrigley for a few days! Rizzo clocked that foul and Kershaw got lucky...veeeeeeeery lucky it missed right by a foot or so. Both sides were praying when Javy connected in the 6th. Out of 30 teams baseball is down to 4 and we are one of them...and WE NEVER QUIT!!!!!!!!!!! LET'S GO CUB'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
