I had to be at a Chamber of Commerce breakfast by 8am, and that threw my whole day off. I hope you all had a good day yesterday.

Bunchkin - I'm going to have to get the kids to pass on the Kidcot stations next year so we can do more in The World Showcase too. There's so much I want to try and see.
*That project for Hunter's Halloween party sounds like fun!!!!
Do you do all the parties or just Halloween?
*Kevin was so proud of his beverage Poor Tony didn't get a BIG beer - Kevin would have been very bummed out too

Tiiiiigern - My sales are still very slow (I've had some, but it's not much at all - like I can count them on one hand ). As much as it's bumming me out, it may be a blessing too because it makes me not feel bad about closing in a couple of weeks

Good Friday morning!

I'm checkin' in a tad early this morning as I have a lot to do today.

Kids have a half day and I have some errands to run and a house to finish cleaning.

Tomorrow is Lauren's 10th birthday!!! I can't believe she'll be in the double digits!!!
So I'm trying to get the house ready for family to come over tomorrow night.

We always let the kids pick what they want to do or where they want to go for their b-days.
Lauren chose to go to a local pumpkin farm and then to Johnny Rockets for lunch. That should be fun!!




slo I'm sure as soon as the strip mall you are in is completely full your business will pick up!!! Did the building owner ever get a sign out on the street?
I volunteer for all the parties for both kids. Since Hunter is in AM kindergarten I can do his party in the morning, and than Lauren's parties are always in the afternoon at the end of her school day. I just have to have my mom here to watch Hunter as the schools don't allow siblings at class parties.
The Halloween project for Hunter's class is going to be cute.
First you have to take a scary face pic of all the kids and cut them out.
You then take styrofoam balls and cut them in half, then spray paint them black all around. You glue the face pic to the flat cut side of the painted ball and then stick 4 black chenille stems on each side of the ball to make a spider! Then put something in the top to hang it from.
So the kid's faces end up being the spider's face.

Becky, thanks for the tips about getting concert tickets. I tried for both the Chicago and Moline concerts and got through to Ticketmaster minutes after they went on sale. Both times, tickets were gone before 10:10 am. Couldn't even get a single ticket. That tells me, they didn't have many for the public to begin with.

I was reading on another thread how supposedly only 4,000 tickets were released for Allstate at the moment?!?! I don't remember exactly but that eventually more will be released. I don't know how true that is or how long ago that was posted (don't know if that # was for the pre-sale amount) but I figure I'm just going to check closer on and if for some bizarre reason I get lucky, WOO HOO and if I don't oh well. I'm actually waiting to see when DD has her gymnastics competitions so it may not even matter.

I'm so tired this morning (that's what you get for staying up until 1 AM reading the DIS and then the kids waking up at 7!!!!!!!!). I may be sneaking a mini nap in soon and then I have to get into gear to clean the house for my party this weekend. The kids don't have school today, so hopefully that means I can get some things done without having to start & stop with watching my time, etc... It also means it's easier for me to get my mini-nap in since the bigger kids are here to keep an eye on the little guy. However, I'm sure as soon as I close my eyes the sky will be falling and they will desperately need me for *SOMETHING* similar to getting on the phone.

I do need to run to the store for some milk though before I get really started.

Our weekend, Geoff has a xcountry pasta party tonight
Eric and Dh are going to the Fremd game tonight.. i need to clean , laundry and run Geoff around town- drop off/pick up... so i'll stay home
Then tomorrw -
Geoff has a cross country meet in Aurora.. Dh is going to go to that one as he has friends in Sugar grove.
Eric plays football tomorrow am - the Freshaman from Fremd vs Schaumburg.

geoff has to work on home work and continue watching the civil war ( all 10 hours of it) so he can start to write the paper and do the project.

Eric has homework and mowing lawns et al..

The Sunday - Geoff and I head off to MT Vernon IA to visit Cornell College..and Eric and DH are going to the Field museum for part of Eric's homework stuff..
Monday - Cornell college visit stuff and drive back.. Geoff is driving most of the way there and back.. so be warned!!!

To answer your question - we've never done a planned meeting at Disney, but we have done planned meetings here in the area. We haven't done one for quite some time, and we are due to have one soon, but our schedules have been so busy lately that we haven't had a chance. When we do have one, I hope you come - they are alot of fun!!!

Looks like we are in for hot weekend
We are going to spend it by having a bon fire tonight (my insurance friend and her 7yr old DD are coming over). With the bon fire we make dinner - hot dogs over the fire, and side dishes, and then we make dessert - smores!!!! Kevin also bought a new deep fryer, and he's going to be frying stuff in it tonight outside - should be tasty, unhealthy, but tasty!!!

Then tomorrow Jennifer (my insurance friend), her DD, me and my girls are going to County Line Apple Orchard to pick apples, get pumpkins, and get the most important thing of all - cinnamon donuts!!!! It should be a fun day



Bunchkin - Yes the landlord did get the sign outside, and to my surprise, my sign was finally on it yesterday (I don't know when that happened) I won't be doing this though when I get the final bill
**I'm glad you can volunteer for both Hunter and Lauren's class I look forward to having an employee that I can trust during the day so I can volunteer again too.

geffric - sounds like you have a busy weekend ahead of you How's work been? Has it gotten any better for you? Is the quarter over now?

Becky - How's your DD doing with her inhaler? Is she still feeling better with it?

Good morning all!!


Today's the big day for Lauren!!!! 10 years old!!!!
She was up so early today!!! I asked her to go back to sleep and she said no!!! She was too excited!!
After everyone was up we let her open her presents right away.


I just got done straightening up before we go out with her today.

Actually she's not even home right now.
Tony took her to one of the local high schools where our Girl Scout service unit is holding a clean up to earn community service hours. Homecoming was last night and the Girl Scouts volunteer to clean up the messy fields as a thank you to the school for allowing free events there for the Girl Scouts.
Plus Lauren will earn hours toward her Silver Award.

So the birthday girl in off performing community service work!!!


When she gets back we're off to lunch and then a pumpkin farm. The pumpkin farm's corn maze is themed Pirates of the CORNabian!!!

Well, we are doing fine. The last I have talked to you guys is when I had the baby.
All 3 kids are doing real good, I just can't believe I am busier than ever, It's crazy but I am enjoying it all.

We are moving to Florida in January and can't wait so we are getting things ready around here.

I need to start laying out the girls clothes on the dining room table tonight. It's kinda hard to do since I don't have a big handle on what to expect, itinerary wise, with this trip. Normally I know exactly what we are doing each second of each day when we are going to The World. I guess I'll have to wing it


Today is pumpkin patch/apple orchard day - it will be fun, I just wish it wasn't so warm outside. There's something a little weird about going to get pumpkins with shorts and a tank top on It's going to be a very very fun day - the girls can hardly wait!!!!!


Bunchkin - I hope Lauren had a nice birthday yesterday!! Did you go to the same pumpkin farm that we all went to last year? That place was really great, and I was hoping I could get there again this year, but time isn't permitting it The theme of the corn maze sounds so fun I hope you all had a good time!!!

Aces - Hi there and good to see you!! Where in Florida are you moving to?

I'm home! We had a awesome time. Saratoga springs is beautiful the beds there are so comfy. The weather for the most part was great only rained for 3-5 minutes then cleared up. Friday night was the only night that was icky it poured for the regular 5 minutes stop but started up 10 minutes later than had some thunder boomers so we called it a night and went back to Saratoga. I'll catch up tomorrow.
