Oh I loved seeing the WDW pics with all the Halloween decorations!! I have not been there to see them in person, and they are so festive and fall-like! Thanks for sharing..

I second the hooray for the DCL Verandah! I just adore sitting out and seeing the ports in the morning from them. Great place to have some quiet time after the kiddies go to bed!

Monday is here - I am off on a job interview this afternoon. Wish me luck!

What a slow slow slow Monday here at the store:guilty:
Thank goodness I have projects to work on so I'm not bored:rolleyes:

I'm now taking my lunch break, and I'm eating a bologna & mustard sandwich (on a hamburger bun), Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips, and some lemon yogart :thumbsup2 What did you all have for lunch today?

piglet - Is Nathan still home from school? How is he feeling today?

Bunchkin - I'm glad you had fun yesterday at your picnic :cool1:
**We are getting really excited for vacation - we really need it!!!! :sail:
**I've always wanted to go to Williamsburg too ::yes:: I figured we'll go when Katie is a little older, because I know she'll be bored to tears (it doesn't take much for her to get bored:rolleyes: )
**I'm sorry about your heart acting up yesterday:guilty: Is it better today? Take care of yourself my friend!!

CarolAnnC - Good luck with your interview :wizard: You'll have to let us know how it went.

Well, I better finish my wonderful sandwich, and get back to work
Later gaters!!!

Nathan has been going to school, all except the day after he was first diagnosed, and the Friday of that week. He has no fever, and other than his cough seems perfectly healthy. Listen to his lungs, and it is a whole other story. No clue as to how he is doing, but I suspect no better. The pain in the butt fights us on the breathing treaments, so :confused3

I had left-over boneless beef ribs for lunch and also tried the same chips as Slo. Lauren had them at teh stables yesterday and LOVES them.

slo The heart is doing much better today. Thanks for asking. :)

For lunch I had a South Beach Diet chicken ceasar wrap w/some jello.
So yummy and low in cals and carbs. Glad the built the Super Walmart by me because that's the only place I can find them now.

Well, Lauren's home. Gotta run!! :wave2:

Bunchkin ~ If you don't mind telling, what was/is wrong with the heart?

15-20 minutes before the younger two are home, and then I have to go get Kevin from practice. I feel very ill all of a sudden, and hope the shakes stop long enough for me to drive. Of all days for Dewain to be on the road.

piglet Hope you're feeling better.
I developed a heart condition last summer. It's not life threatening and not heart disease, just really taxing on the body. I had a procedure done last summer but am still having issues. Rapid heat beats and some times the heart just stops for a moment and then fires back up on over load.
I am now taking beta blockers to keep it running smoothly rather than jump ahead into another surgery. Stress can also cause it to go nuts.
It stinks!!!

Did you guys hear about the outrageous prices Miley Cyrus tickets are selling for? 4 to 5 times worth their original value!!!!
Jeezaloo!!!!! :sad2:
Lauren would love to see her, but not at those prices......she'll get the cd instead!! :)

Happy very foggy morning everyone!!
Stephanie has a 2 hour delay today - I wish I knew that before I woke up and poured my coffee :coffee: Oh well, I have a lot to do this morning - this is house cleaning week (I do a little everyday until it's all done).

Bunchkin - I'm glad your heart was better yesterday :)
**We looked at getting Miley Cyrus tickets for all of us to go, but when we saw the prices we said "NO THANKS!!" Stephanie was really disappointed, but life sometimes has it's dispointments - right?!?!

piglet - I"m glad Nathan is able to go to school :teacher: I"m sorry he's being difficult with the breathing treatments :guilty: Did you buy a nebulizer or did you borrow one from the doctors office? I always borrowed one from the doctor when Katie had RSV - I was always grateful my doctor let us do that.

CarolAnn - How did your interview go yesterday?

Sam - How is Megan feeling today?

DMM - How are you feeling? Are you ready for Saturday?

Well, I better take advantage of this extra time this morning.
Have a good day today everyone!!

Good Morning everyone! I looked into the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus tickets too and knew it would be like trying to get High School Musical concert tickets!

Anyway, I've been following some threads on them and various things that when it gets closer to the concert you *might* be able to get some tickets without paying the stick it to you prices. I don't know how likely that is but figured I'd keep checking. I know one person said they checked in the afternoon of the show for tickets and got them for the HSM concert -- apparently they were corporate tickets that weren't needed and went back to Ticketmaster. I know I would have never thought to look the day of the show for tickets. I hadn't really planned on going once I saw how insane it was going to be but then one of DD's friends called and asked about it since she thinks I have some inside scoop to all these things. :lmao: :lmao: (Umm...no just the DIS). Just thought I would throw this out there in case any of you really want to keep looking/trying. Build-a-bear is having a sweepstakes that starts this weekend to win a trip to 4 to see her NY show. It goes from Oct. 5 - 25.

I loved seeing everyone's pictures! Thanks for sharing.

Feeling better today, the shaking stopped after an hour or so yesterday.

Slo ~ We were given a nebulizer by the ER when Lauren had RSV. We used it when the kids all had the Flu last year, and now, but I think it was sitting in the garage other wise.

Had a meeting with Nathan's teacher this morning. We came to the conclusion that it is time to have him evaluated for ADHD. It is something that has been "there" since Kindergarten, but we always just pushed it to teh back. Now, we can't live in denial anymore, as something needs to be done. It is hard admitting that your kid needs help, and even though I know it has nothing to do with me, I am feeling a bit like I am failing him.

More trip report.......

Day #3 - Saturday
Epcot

Staying up late the night before for MNSSHP made us sleep in on Saturday.
We had breakfast in the cabin and got ready at a slow pace. It is vacation after all!! ;) I don't think we headed out to the bus until maybe 10:30am.

First this we did was check out the times board. Most rides had short wait times.
We then headed over to Test Track for fastpasses and then made our way over to Soarin. But first we stopped for the prerequisite pretzel of the day. My kids devour these!

Crowds were fairly low again that day. :yay: It was so great!!!
So far we were getting very lucky with wait times!!

Stood in the stand by line for Soarin for 20 minutes. Not bad!
We enjoyed the new interactive games they have added to the waiting area. The whole crowd had to participate as there are cameras that zero in on the crowds. It was a lot of fun and made the time in line go by quickly.

We just love Soarin!!! What an awesome attraction!!

After that we had lunch at Seasons which we had not done since.....2002!!! :rolleyes1 What a nice improvement since we had eaten there last!!
The kids wanted to stop and participate in the Tollhouse cookie making but we needed to get to our fastpasses!!

So off to Test Track we went!!!!
We had no wait and the ride was terrific!!! The kids were really loving the fast rides this trip....especially Hunter. He is turning into a dare devil of sorts!! Hands in the air and whooping it up all the way!!

Next we headed over to Nemo!! No wait at all, walk on.
This was the kids first time on it since it opened and they loved it!!

363687974111_0_ALB.jpg

Then we stopped at Turtle Talk with Crush, no wait again.
Didn't care for the dude's voice who was doing Crush that day. It sounded like he was trying too hard to sound "Valley"!!

Then another first for us was Imagination with Figment!!
Lauren was just dying to go see this!!
She just loved it, especially all the interactive stuff after the ride.

Next we headed into World Showcase!!
We had plans to try to do and see things we hadn't done in a while or never done at all. This is always our problem with WS. We never seem to have enough time!

So first we hit Maelstrom!!! Short wait again, maybe 10 minutes if that. Hadn't been on it since 2002 while I was pregnant with Hunter. So this was his first.
He was disappointed to find that after the large climb up in our Viking ship that there wasn't a huge watery drop!!!
He said "That's IT??".....really loud!! :rotfl:

I think he enjoyed the store more!!
I love this pic of him with a helmet that has one horn!!! :rotfl2:

Then we made our way slowly around to Germany where we checked in early for our dinner ressie at Biergarten. This was a first for all of us to eat there.
While we waited we checked out the stores and had a wonderful conversation with a German girl who just moved to the US 7 weeks ago to work for WDW.

The Biergarten was good. We were sat first at our table which we then shared with 2 other couples who were all very friendly and talkative!! :)
The food was good and the band was great!
And to our shock and surprise Hunter got the dancing bug and headed to the stage area where a lot of kids were dancing. This child NEVER does anything like that......EVER!!! He did the chicken dance for a while and then called it quits. :goodvibes I was so proud of how brave he was!

Afterwards we stopped at the American pavilion to see the American Adventure film Golden Dreams for the first time.
That was really nice!!

Shortly after it started to rain a slow drizzle which picked up speed a bit.
Thankfully we were prepared with ponchos and an umbrella.
Took a break from the rain to do some shopping.
It stopped raining right before we left Mouse Gears so we headed back toward WS to watch the fireworks.
They were awesome!!!
Started to leave before they were through to make it to the buses.

We had the best bus driver EVER heading back to WL and FW!!!
This guy was so funny and hysterical!!! And everyone was bantering back and forth with him.
At one point while driving to the stop in FW he heard me make a comment about his jokes. He stopped the bus and said to me "ok, get out." and opened the door....everyone got up to get out because they thought that was were he was making the stop. He had to yell "no, I was kidding, sit down!!". :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
It was soooooo funny!!!

It was a great day at Epcot filled with lots of new and fun memories for our family.

piglet I'm glad the shaking stopped finally. Sometimes that happens if your blood sugar levels get too low. Maybe that is what caused it.

Big hugs to you and Nathan!!
Don't feel bad, you've done nothing wrong. I'm sure you're a very supportive and loving parent who will continue to be so as you try to help him.

Feeling better today, the shaking stopped after an hour or so yesterday. I am so glad that the shaking stopped.. that is so scary..

Had a meeting with Nathan's teacher this morning. We came to the conclusion that it is time to have him evaluated for ADHD. It is something that has been "there" since Kindergarten, but we always just pushed it to teh back. Now, we can't live in denial anymore, as something needs to be done. Hi everyone! I'm soo tired, so i've been laying low and my mom has been helpingout! I can barely move! hahaha!!

Good evening all. Sure hope all of you feeling a little under the weather are back to your healthy old selves really soon.
Tired, but just wanted to pop in and catch up with everyone. Wanted you all to know I was thinking of all my friends and hoping all was well.
Postman left a card again today. Both Kellie and Kyle won lanyards from YOAMD!!! Yeah, since Kellie won one last month, that means I get one now as well.
DMM take care. It will all be better soon.
Later all. Early morning for book fair. Any volunteers?!!!!! Could really use 1 or 2 (or 20).
Night

ooo I love a good book fair!! I'm heading to the book store tomorrow to get myself a book and some magazines for the hospital and then off to the hospital for another appt. and to get labs done! I can't believe the time is here!!! And best of all, I just had a MAJOR buy in my little shoppe! It's an awesome feeling!

:surfweb:

Becky - Thanks for telling us about the Build-A-Bear sweepstakes. We'll be at the mall next weekend - we'll have to check it out :thumbsup2

piglet - I"m sorry I didn't catch about you not feeling well Monday  I'm glad you're feeling better now :)
**Many hugs to you about Nathan :grouphug: You're not a bad mom at all :sad2: You are being open minded about what the teacher said, and your going to get him the help he needs - to me it sounds like you're a wonderful mom!!!! I will keep you all in my prayers, and please keep us posted on how he is doing.

Bunchkin - I"m really loving your TR and pictures :goodvibes You did more at Epcot, World Showcase, than we ever did - we need to explore the World Showcase more. The most we do is walk around, shop in the gift shops, and let the girls make their masks:) What did you think of the food at The Biergarten? I thought it was pretty good - I don't need to go back there anytime soon, but I did enjoy it. This is what Kevin liked at The Biergarten....
DSC02012.jpg

geffric - That's great that you get to go to MouseFest again this year :cool1: I hope there are some DISers that you can meet up with like you did last year.

DMM - I can hardly wait to hear and see pictures of Roman :) Please check in soon, when you come home, to tell us how you and the baby are doing :goodvibes

Tigggggggern - Congrats on winning another lanyard :woohoo:
**Good luck at the book fair today.

Well, it's time for me to go run and post my poll for the day:coffee:
Have a good day today everyone!!!!

:coffee: Morning everyone! Slow start this morning, with a head cold. Have a great day all - looks gorgeous out there!

slo We are usually too busy doing the masks too. But this year we decided no masks and no Kidcot stops at all. The kids were fine with it because they realize that there is a lot we keep missing and that they already have done those things before.
Biergarten food was good. I wasn't as brave as I would have hoped to be in trying some of the different sausages. And even though I am German and so is Tony we were still not German enough to try!!! :rotfl: But what we had was really good. The kids food selection could have been expanded on! Lauren wasn't too happy with what was offered.
But we did love the oom-pa-pa band! :)

geffric I just watched something the other day that talked about how diet plays a role in helping kids with not only ADHD but also kids with autism.
Congrats on your up coming trip to WDW!

DMM Try to relax these last couple days!! ;)

CarolAnnC Sorry to hear you're not feeling well!

Hi to all!!! :wave2:

Gotta run! Hunter is done with lunch and we are going to get back to putting up fall/Halloween decorations.

Good evening all. I have a little more relaxed night tonight. Still have fall fundraiser stuff to close out, but meeting for the month is over and book fair is set up and ready for selling and I found a few more unknowing saps. Uh volunteers.
CarolAnnC, hope you are feeling better by now. How did the interview go?

Bunchkin, I could use a little dusting to be done here and then to have my fall decorations hung as well. Since you are doing that now and all. Share the fun, I say. Loving your pictures.
geffric, I would love to come along if only I could get away.

piglettoo, hope you and your son are doing OK. Good luck with getting all the information you could use for your son. Social workers through a hospital are sometimes a wealth of knowledge for services available out there.

Hersey and Mac, hope you are both having a great time.

Slo, hope you've had better days of sales at the store since Monday.

Becky, thanks for the tips about getting concert tickets. I tried for both the Chicago and Moline concerts and got through to Ticketmaster minutes after they went on sale. Both times, tickets were gone before 10:10 am. Couldn't even get a single ticket. That tells me, they didn't have many for the public to begin with.

Well, I'd better get to work on my fundraiser. I will be singing praises when this is turned in and I no longer need to look at it.

Later all.

Good Morning all!

Tiggerrn I had to dust too before I could put anything out.
With all the allergy prone people in this house I have to keep up on the dusting weekly, but I fell behind with vacation and all. So the house was really needing a cleaning. I'm not sure if the construction in the subdivision plays a factor or what, but our house can get dusty very quickly. :confused3
I guess having the windows open a lot doesn't help the cause.

So you're going to have to dust your own place! Sorry!! I have a hard enough time keeping up mine!! :rolleyes1 :)

DMM Hope you're hanging in there!!!

slo I forgot to tell you that I love that pic of Kevin!! Very proud of his beverage indeed!!! :rotfl:
Tony wanted that size and was a little upset when the waitress delivered the beers to the table and she brought him the smaller size like the other beer drinkers had ordered!!! :rotfl2: I told him to get over it!! :rotfl:

Well, Thursday's are sheet changing day here. WOOHOO!!! NOT! I better go finish. I already cleaned out the dishwasher, vacuumed downstairs and the stairs themselves.
And in a bit I'm off to Hunter's school to take scary face pics of the kids for a craft project they will be doing at their Halloween class party.
It should be fun to see what faces they all make!!

Have a great day everyone!!
