I love that part of Alice in Wonderland!!!

This trip I actually took less pics than usual because I too am always behind the camera instead of in the moment. I tried to be more conscious of that this trip. ;)

Haunted Mansion Review:

We did go on this a couple times.
With never a wait I might add!! :yay:
The changes are great!!
The new wall paper in the first room is great and the new sound is awesome.
Some of the changes are obvious and some are not.
One thing we noticed about the Bride area is that with all the vignettes and pictures of the husbands that they added the photos don't change like at Disneyland. Where as their heads appear and disappear in the pics. At WDW there were no heads on any of the pics. :confused3
There is a great multiple upside staircase they added overhead too in the beginning. It has glowing green foot prints moving on it. Kind of reminded us of the moving staircases at Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movie.

Another construction pic from outside of the Contemporary near the water like I mentioned before.

Good morning! Last day before we leave, finally:dance3:

We get picked up pretty early tomorrow so unless I come back on tonight, have a good week everyone. I think I have everything ready to go in the suitcases.

Bunchkin Mater is a good chose for Hunter :rotfl: He looks so cute. I'm glad lauren has such a good time at the salon. Thanks for the pictures it has helped me get through the last couple of days.

I hope I have my camera figured out so I can take night pictures. Later I'll take out my book and study. Alex is almost done with his homework the teachers sent home with him.

Sam I hope Megan is feeling better now.

I hope I'm not forgetting anyone. Sorry if I am

Good morning all!!

Went to my mom's last night to visit relatives. Hunter was so tired he ended up falling asleep there shortly after we arrived.
I found out recently that our family is Native American. My mom and aunt met with old relatives recently who showed her proof of lineage to John Smith! She's talking about having us all join DAR, Daughter's of the American Revolution.
She has all this paper work I need to look over.

Hersey You and Alex have a wonderful time in WDW!!! Have a great flight!! And make sure to take lots of pics! Go to Roaring Forks, in WL, for breakfast! They have the best, and hugest, breakfast platter!!!!! :teeth: We went there for breakfast our last day.

Sam Hope Megan is feeling better today! How did she do at school yesterday?

Well, I'm off to the Super Walmart again. This will be the 4th trip this week!!! I keep forgetting to buy something each time I run there!!! :rotfl:

Have a great Saturday everyone!!!

Hey HERSEY

Have a great time! Bon Voyage too!

Bunchkin, you need to run right out and rent Pochahontas so you can get a better sense of your great great great great great great great grand-something!! :rotfl: That is very cool though! My family only goes back about three generations here in the US. So, going back further than that is pretty darn awesome!

Megan did make it til the end of the day, almost... Right at the end of the day, she got physically sick again. So, at 3:25 as I was about to leave the office, my cell phone went off and my work phone started ringing! I knew something was wrong when they both started ringing at the same time. So, her Dad was already on his way and he picked her up within a few minutes. Poor kid! She said she didn't do anything at recess because her stomach hurt and she told the teacher, but since she wasn't running a temp, they sent her back to class. She asked to go to the bathroom, but only made it to the trash-can. Smart thinking if you ask me. At least she made the trash can! She'll be known the rest of the year as the little pukey kid... :sad2:

But, she has the whole weekend now to recuperate. I put her to bed last night at 8:00 p.m. and she slept til 10:00 a.m. Now, that's some serious rest! No dance class today, so she can make that up later in the week.

Other than that, it's pretty much a clean the house, get the laundry done and just hang out day. I've also been trying on clothes and getting an idea of what I can wear on the cruise each night. I need to get shopping next weekend for a fancy dress for myself. I spied on on line at Nordstrom's so I may head up there next weekend.

Sorry to hear Megan got sick at school. But at least she made the trash can!

Yesterday in Lauren's math class a boy had a seizure, fell out of his chair and passed out on the floor. The kids were all telling him to get up and didn't think any thing was seriously wrong because this kid is a prankster and has actually played dead on the floor before!! :sad2: I guess then the teacher turned to the class and then acted quickly to help him.
So then the class got sent to Lauren's homeroom across the hall while the medics came in and took him to the hosp. I guess his younger sister over at Haines got to leave early as well to go to the hosp.
Then after the ambulance left the school nurse came in to talk to the classes as they made them stay there while they cleaned up the room. I guess there was a small pool of salivia on the floor from the boy.
Freaky!!!
I sure do hope that boy is doing better today.
The nurse told the kids he had never had a seizure before.

No one go to the McDonald's in New Lenox on Monday night. Some yahoo from our subdivision is trying to organize a family night there!! It's from 7-9pm. Hello....my kids, and most little kids around here, are in bed by 8pm. And who's going to eat at 7pm. My kids want dinner at 5pm. They're like little old people!!! :rotfl:

Good evening all.
Hersey, have a great trip. Hope you have great weather and a ton of fun!!! Take lots of pix for us poor souls staying here in the grand ol' state of IL.
Bunchkin, thanks for the trippie. I am enjoying your vacation. :thumbsup2
Slo, hope you have recovered from your headache. Hate those headaches that linger naggingly for days. Glad you enjoyed the carnival.
Sam I hope Megan is feeling better.
piglettoo, I have been to CountyLine Apple Orchard often. Kids went each year of preschool and then DS went with his class for a field trip last fall. LOVE their taffy apples!!!!! Lots of folks raved about the donuts. I am not a donut fan, so didn't try them myself. The apple cider is great as well.
I am greatful for the weekend. Trying to clean up, do laundry, refill the cabinets with much needed healthy foods, and get some sleep!!!
Next week, the book fair drama begins.
I haven't yet wrapped up the fall fundraiser. You would not believe how many people cannot follow columns, count to 20 and add 3 items correctly. I can understand being a few dollars off sometimes, but 1 lady was $41 off!!! When I called, she didn't even apologize or act embarrassed. I would feel really stupid sending in a form that far off. What did she think-I wouldn't be double checking orders and just send for stuff with no money?!! Go figure.
Well, heading for bed shortly. May try to go to the zoo for a bit tomorrow since it is supposed to be such a great day and since I didn't get to enjoy my membership this summer with the old broken ankle.
Night all.

Good early morning everyone! In a little bit my ride will be here to finally take us to our home away from home. To say we are excited is an understatement. I don't think I slept more than 1 hour last night.

I'll miss you all.

Have fun Hersey!

Morning everyone! still here and still pregnant! Dr. Has changed Baby Day to Saturday! CAn you believe it!! Less than a week I will be holding my little one!!

There was a scheduling conflict at the hospital...blahhh...Oh well at least it's still this week!!!!

Hey everyone.........look at my new tag!!!!! :yay: :woohoo:
I was so excited when I saw this last night!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

piglet - I'm so sorry to hear that Nathan is still sick :guilty: I'll send a lot more PD his way for him to get better quick, and so he can play in Flag Bowl next weekend :wizard:
**We are going to County Line Apple Orchard next weekend with my good friend and her DD. I can hardly wait to bring home their cinnamon donuts (so yummy with coffee) and caramel apples :goodvibes

Sam - How is Megan feeling today? I sure hope she is feeling great :wizard:
**I just read your post about her getting sick at school Friday :guilty: Give her a hug from me

Bunchkin - Thanks for the congrats on the cabin upgrade :goodvibes We really are very excited about it!!
** You're not a bad mom for not planning for Laurens birthday yet - you've had a lot going on. Does she have any ideas on what she wants to do?
**I'm loving your TR and pictures!!!!:goodvibes Laurens make-over was great - I can hardly wait to take my girls to that new BBB next year :thumbsup2 It really looks like you guys had a wonderful time at the MK :goodvibes Oh....question about the Monsters attraction - do they have the same show over and over, or do they change it so it's different everytime? I was curious since you said you saw it more than once.
**How cool that you have lineage to John Smith!!!! You'll never watch Pocohontas the same way again :)

HERSEY - I"m sorry I didn't a chance to say goodbye to you before you left :guilty: So I will say bye now :wave2: I hope you and Alex have a wonderful vacation filled with great memories, great food, and great times - be safe and we look forward to hearing all about your trip when you come home!!!!

Tiggerrrnnn - Thanks for the well wishes for my headache :) It is still slightly lingering, but it's nothing like it was before. I just keep popping pain killers to prevent it from getting full blown like it was Thursday.
**Have fun at the zoo today - what a great day for it!!!!! :sunny:

DMM - Good luck Saturday, please keep us posted!!!! I can hardly wait to hear about your new bundle of joy - take care of yourself!!!! :grouphug:

Well, that's about it from me today
Have a great day everyone!!

Good Sunday Morning All!!

We have a huge Girl Scout function to go to today. It's a picnic and I still have not made the dish I am bringing.
In fact, I forgot to get the ingredients for it when we went to the store yesterday!!! What is my problem lately?? I can't seem to remember anything!!! :confused3 :headache:
Well, at least it's a simple Asian salad I'm taking so it's not big deal to throw together.

slo We think we will be heading to the orchard soon too, just not sure what date yet.
Thanks for saying I'm not a bad mom. We talked party stuff yesterday and this morning and she seems fine with putting it off an extra week. :)
You guys are going to love the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor!!! It is so funny!! And yes, they do change it up a bit. There was some same things said in the beginning and in between each 'comedy act', but all the other things were different. We were happily surprised by that!!! :goodvibes The kids loved it and actually wanted to see it a third time.
You know what? One of the only Disney animated movies we DON'T have is Pocahontas!!!! :rolleyes1
Nice new tag by the way!!! :)

Hersey I can't believe you had such little sleep!!! Have a great time!! :cool1:

Tiggerrn Hope you can make it to the zoo!! What a perfect day for going!
You sound so busy with all that PTO stuff!!! :upsidedow

DMM 6 more days to go for you and baby!!! Make sure Sal takes lots of pics so you can share with us!! ::yes::

Well, I better run so I can make my 5th trip!!!! :sad2:
I swear I need to safety pin notes to myself!!!

:wave2:

I have something exciting to tell you guys too....
DCL called us and upgraded our room to a room with a verandah - isn't that awesome!!!:woohoo: :yay: Having a verandah makes me nervous with the kids, but I'm not going to turn it down.

Awesome news on the upgrade!! Every time I've cruised, I've insisted on a verandah. As long as you don't leave the girls out on the verandah unattended, I wouldn't worry about them. The verandahs have a solid wall below the railing. In some cases this is glass, in others it's steel, but the girls won't be able to squeeze through it. Also, the verandah door has a second lock located about 5 feet high so small children can't reach it. Truly, as long as you don't allow them to climb on the verandah furniture (which I'm sure you won't), they should be quite safe.

Trust me, you're going to *love* that verandah!! :)

Good evening all.
Thanks for the good zoo thoughts. We went and it was a beautiful day for it. We got there about 1:30, rode the motor safari, went to the dolphin show, and saw lots of critters. The new baby polar bear was out playing with mama in the pool and having a frolicking good time. That was fun. I had to stop in the habitat Africa little room. It's the little hut next to the Okapje. It smells just like the Animal Kingdom Lodge in there. Every time we go to the zoo, I go in there and sit and just close my eyes and remember our trip.
Bunchkin, how was the Girl Scout thing? Glad Lauren didn't have a problem with putting off her birthday for a week. Just tell her it's like the Never-Ending Birthday Week and it goes on and on!!:thumbsup2
DMM-have a great last week of pregnancyhood. I loved feeling the hiccups and the moving inside. Get that last belly shot before Saturday. I forgot with both of mine. No belly shots of me anywhere. :rolleyes1 Kind of sad though. Since I am always the one behind the camera, there are never any pictures of me to mark any occasions.
Anyway, hope you have a great last week, an easy surgery and quick recovery. Be sure to post us some pix.
Well, gonna run. Hope you all have a great week. Mine will be busy as usual.
Later

Good Evening..:wave2:

This weekend was Homecoming and the Varsity and the freshman won.. sophmore's lost by 1.. Boys were busy with lots of homecoming stuff.. then DH and Eric went to Detroit with the scouts to see the Bears lose. Geoff had to much homework to do to go with the scouts too.. but he is meeting with the past scoutmaster tomorrow to go over his EAGLE book..

Geoff and I met my sister and BIL for dinner yesterday at an Indian restuarant in the city ( Devon and Western area) .. it was wonderful but Geoff drove and he got very very nervous once we got near the city..and then he had to parallel park(something a suburban kid never has to do).. he was very uncomfortable.. guess we can narrow down the college choices... no school in big cites for him..
Today I worked in the back yard and pulled weed and trimmed bushes and trees and Geoff cut down a tree that was too close to the house. So we are resting.. he is playing HALO3 and I'm checking in on the DIS.. life is good..

Gonna ketchup..

Oh...I have one more complaint before I go - I broke my glasses today:mad: I am so mad!!!! Thank goodness I have another pair of glasses (my good set of glasses) that I can use until I get these replaced. I just hope I can get them replaced by the time we leave on vacation, because I don't have sunglass clips for my good glasses.

Hope you get your new glasses or the old ones fixed before your trip

I have something exciting to tell you guys too....
DCL called us and upgraded our room to a room with a verandah - isn't that awesome!!!:woohoo: :yay: Having a verandah makes me nervous with the kids, but I'm not going to turn it down.

That is great.I am so jealous I have never had a verandah but have heard the are wonderful... take pictures..

Anyone have an implant done for a tooth? I guess it's the new way to get a false tooth. I went to the dentist to get my tooth fixed & OOPS, once he got the old filling out of there or partially out of there, it's worse than first thought. His opinion would to just get it extracted and then since it's in a spot that you really DO need to put a tooth there or something, he suggested the new fangled implant procedure and gave me a recommendation.

DH had one and it was $$$$ but very nice..( Glad we have dental insurance..) It took a long time for him to get the tooth.. and he had a post in his mouth for a while while the tooth was being made..

Back from Cross Country, and Kevin finnished in 13:07 (2 mile course) knocking almost 1:30 off his previous best time.

Great time.. tell Kevin that is super.. great achievement

Hersey - hope you are having a great time..

DMM _ congrats on the new date.. hope that you have a fast delivery and easy recovery and a beautifful baby..

Lauren had a great time at the horse show today. She placed in all four classes with 2 sixth places, a fourth place and a third place as well.

Tiggerrn2 ~ Sounds like a great day indeed for the zoo.

Here are a couple of pictures, the first two I took and the last one is one that Nathan took. The horse she is with/on is Seventh, but she also rode Wizard and Lucky.

Well, I'm off and running to get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!

Mornin' all!

The Girl Scout picnic was great! They had it at a local American Legion hall. They have a huge outdoor barn type building that we used. So many people were there.
There was tons of food, a d.j., a huge bounce jump, bean bag toss games, raffles, and all the kids got treat bags too. And they of course had the Bears game on.
I brought this Asian salad that I whipped together in like 10 minutes. I have to say that it's so good. When we left there was none of it left!! :)
The kids had a great time!

Everyone was exhausted when we got home.

And unfortunately my heart started acting up a bit yesterday too. :sad2:
Not sure what got it going, but it would not stop until late last night.

Tiggerrn Glad to hear the zoo was fun.
I'll have to tell Lauren your idea about a week long b-day celebration!! :teeth: I'm sure she'll go for that!! :thumbsup2
No pics of my belly either while pregnant.

sloLet the countdown begin!!! :cheer2: You guys must be getting excited about cruising!!! :dance3: :sail:
You're so busy lately that the next time you go to WDW will come quick enough!! :thumbsup2
Not sure if we are going to WDW during Thanksgiving of next year like I mentioned before. We might go to Big Cedar Lodge instead. Tony is really due for his turn at picking a vacation spot!!! ;) And Lauren and I want to go to Colonial Williamsburg....really baaaadd!!! :yay:
Dare I say.....We've done so much Disney in the past 4 years that it might be time to take a break.

piglet Awesome pics of Lauren and congrats to her for doing such a great job!!!! :woohoo:

Have a great day all!!! :hmghost:
