Becky - How's your DD doing with her inhaler? Is she still feeling better with it?

She is doing better but if she is hacking away on Tuesday -- I'm *almost* convinced as it is, that the reaction is something at her school!!! Either the location since she's in an area with natural prairie stuff or something inside the actual school itself. Since we have been off from Thursday afternoon and she has *barely* coughed here at home. If she is having a hard time on Tuesday then it just *has* to be the school (logically you would think).

She goes back to the doctor's Tuesday afternoon (although, so much for a 1st frost coming through here! :lmao: :lmao: ).

I feel so bad for her though, she tried out for a special part in choir at the upcoming concert & she told me she did fine until the very end of her try-out & then started coughing! I'm fairly sure she won't get the part as I doubt they want to take the chance for her to starting coughing in the middle of the concert! :scared1: It's I just wish she could be like she is so far this weekend, at school.

Yesterday was so hot at the apple orchard - it's so weird having such hot weather this time of year :sunny:. Little Katie was sweating so bad that her shirt was wet. We had alot of fun though and got a ton of apples, apple cinnamon donuts, caramel apples, and then stopped at a local candy store on the way home and got some candy there:goodvibes It was a good day!!!:)

Rose - :wave2:

HERSEY - Welcome home!!!!! :yay: :yay: I"m glad you had a nice time!!! Did you take a lot of pictures inside Saratoga Springs? I hope so, because I'm anxious to see what the inside of that resort looks like. So...what did you do? Where did you go? How was the food??? :goodvibes

Navysailor disney fan - :welcome:
Please come by and visit any time -we would love to have you!!

Becky - Has your DD ever had a scratch test done? I would be interested if she is allergic to mold, and if she is, I would be curious if it's in the school. I'm glad she's doing better with her inhaler :)

Well, that's about it from me today - it's now time to get into the shower.
Have a good day today everyone!!!

slo~~~~ We are not exactly sure! LOL
It will be between Jacksonville and Daytona.

Quick fly-by. On my way to school for the book fair sale.
Hersey, welcome home. Glad to hear you had a good time. Fill us in MORE!!!
DMM hope your weekend went smoothly. I think you will be heading home today.
Slo, glad you had fun. Any extra carmel apples for a Dis Buddy?!! Your trip is so close. At least it won't be a big weather shock since we aren't cold yet.
I am loving this great weather. It could stay til next summer if you ask me.
Mac, are you home yet?
Hi Rose and Aces. Hi Becky. Maybe your DD will get lucky and still make it. Do take her to an allergist. They might have a better idea of what could be done to make your DD life easier. Especially if the problem is at school. She has to go there.:rolleyes1 Not much you can do to avoid that.
Well, better run. Need to go to bank and Post Office before heading to school. Have a great one last beautiful day before the fridge outside comes on.

Good morning all!!

Can you believe this weather??
I really love fall!! And I'll be happier when the temps drop this week!! :)

Lauren loved all the b-day wishes that you DISers sent her!!!
She says Thank YOU!!!! princess:

slo Lauren had a great b-day with the family.
The pumpkin farm we went to was a different one then the one our group went to last year. The one we went to on Sat. really had a lot more things for kids to do and it was all included in the price. :)
The corn maze was crazy!!! It was just too hot and there was no breeze while in the corn maze, so we got out of there as quick as we could.....or until we finally found the exit that is!!!
The kids were just dying in the heat!!

Hersey Welcome back!!! Can't wait to hear more about your trip!!! :yay:

aces Good to see you stop by!! :)

Becky Sorry to hear your DD's cough started acting up during the try outs!!
My DD's old school she went to really irritated her asthma. Even though it was not an old building.
So I totally believe that it could be the school making your DD sick. :sad2:

Tiggerrn Hope you sell a lot of books!!
Darn all those babies needing to be delivered on your shift!!! ;) :rotfl:

Well I gotta run!!!
Have a great day everyone!! :flower3:

Hey! Did you guys know that today is Amy's(2sweetangels) due date?

I have not talked to her for 2 weeks so I don't know if there is a baby yet:confused3

/
I don't think she ever told us her due date, at least that I can remember.
Maybe someone else might recall. But I don't think she did.

She hasn't been a frequent poster here.

Hopefully all is well with her.

Geffric- I saw something on the news last night, about some EMTs had to take care of some dehydrated kids at a running meet in Aurora. Didn't know if that is where Geoff was running. Is he doing ok?

:wave2:
Yep that was Geoff's meet.. he had offered to help the EMTs 'casue he is a Boy scout and knows fist aid..he is fine and talking about helping the girl.. the varsity boys didn't run as they canceled the meet..

I'm home! . I'll catch up tomorrow.
Welcome home.. glad you had a great time.. i am looking forward to the minute by minute fun..

Just got back from our first college tour. Geofff Loved Cornell Collge.. is was really wonderfull #1 on his list.. off to Knox in November..

Hi everyone!

Crazy weekend for me, I have been reading, just no real time to post. Nathan had football Friday night, they won both games and got to play on Sunday. They lost the first game Sunday, so tied for third place overall. The heat was very bad, and three of our kids were starting to shows signs of heat issues, so as sad as it was to lose, I am glad we did not play the second game. I got real sick last night because I was so busy making sure the team was OK, I never drank anything. We were out there for three hours, starting just before noon.

geffric ~ I too heard about the kids needing help at a meet, just had no clue where it was. Kevin's team was at sectionals (for junior high) in Shorewood on Saturday, and I hope it went OK for them with the heat.
ETA ~ Just saw the college stuff. I really liked Cornell too, but felt Know was a bit too stuffy for me. Has he looked at Coe in Cedar Rapids, Ia or Culver-Stockton in Canton, Mo?? I went to Culver-Stockton, but wish I had gone to Coe.

So whoever is close to me (I can't remember wher we all live yet) I am inviting you to my house for a Tastefully Simple party on Saturday, October 20th. Please PM me if you want more info.

Good morning! I'm still trying to catch up. I may just give up soon and just start new.

We had a great time in WDW we met up with Mac for the MNSSHP on 9/30. It was very nice meeting her after chatting with her online here. The party was really nice I was so busy looking at everything I didn't take many pictures. The crowds weren't to bad. We really liked the improvements to haunted mansion. Alex road Expedition Mt Everest. Notice I said Alex no me. I said on the ground were god intended me to be :rotfl2: We never did go to any of the boothes at the F&W festival. Everytime we were near them we were stuffed. They smelled so good. Next time we won't make so many plans.
Saratoga Springs is very nice I love it there. The buses ran very well. No matter what time of day we went to the stops we had short waits and almost always had a seat. The beds were so comfortable and the room was very clean. We were in the Paddock area. Alex loved the lizzards and the frogs. We did see 1 of the cats that everyone says lives there.
The Love bugs weren't bad after the Cicada's I'll take any bug.

Sam I couldn't get anyone to confirm what is happening at the Contempory. In fact they just said what cranes?:confused3 The big steel things next to the resort that don't look like rooms DUH!

Is anyone here planting bulbs this fall?
I'm not - but maybe next fall. I'm thinking about doing some new landscaping next year, and I may have a good place for bulbs then.

aces - I haven't talked with Amy for a couple of weeks - I need to pm her and see how she's doing. Good luck with your move:wizard:

TTTTTTigern - How was the book sale?
*I wish I would have known you like caramel apples - I would have bought you some:)

Bunchkin - I forgot that at the other place we had to pay for things seperatly. What's the name of the new place, and where is it?
*Tell Lauren, "Your Welcome  "

geffric - I"m glad Geoff is okay from the heat - that must have been hard for them to have to run this past weekend:guilty:

piglet - That's great that Nathans team did so well this past weekend :cheer2: , but I"m sorry to hear about you not feeling well. Do you think you got heat stroke? How are you feeling now? I hope you feel better :wizard:
*Thanks for the invitation, but I"m leaving on my cruise that day :sail:

HERSEY - That's great that you met up with Mac :) I'm glad you and Alex had a great trip:goodvibes

Sam - Where are you? We miss you!!!  Please check in!!!!

Well, I'm off and running!!
Have a good day today everyone!!

:cheer2: YAY I just checked my messages and Amy(2sweetangels) said she had a baby girl on oct 6th.
I am sooo happy! A new DIS baby:cool1:

CONGRATS AMY

Good Morning all!

I've been feeling lousy the past couple days!! Thankfully there was no school yesterday! DD had a friend sleep-over & she want home at 8 AM. Since DD was here after her friend went home, I told her I was going to lay down, at least for an hour so I could try to function! Two hours later, I *force* myself to get up (easily could have slept longer) and still was barely functioning. DS-3 took a nap later in the afternoon & I laid down at that time too again, another hour...still exhausted. I went to be bed about 9:30 and was out (usually I'm up way later). I kept joking it just felt like someone zapped my energy & I needed an energy pill.

I'm better today but still moving slowly!!!! I really want to get started on the kid's Halloween costumes, just decided yesterday wasn't a good day since being that tired & sewing is not a good mix.

We shall see if DD is allergic to school now. :lmao: Since it was a long weekend she wasn't really coughing/wheezing like she had been. She has a doctor's appt. this afternoon & if I pick her up and she is wheezing/coughing then I'm going to be convinced it's her school or the location of her school. My hunch is it's the location since it's right next to a big old natural prarie land park. The good news is this is her last year at that school. The bad news is -- there sure hasn't been any frost yet this year. :lmao:

Hey Slo:

I'm here. Been busy and haven't had a lot to say lately. You must be getting so excited about your cruise, I know I am. I have 25 days to go yet!

Congratulations to all the new mommies here! How exciting! Nothing like new Disney babies and the knowledge that the "Disney obsession" will go on!

Well, I gotta run and get back to work. Have a good day everyone!

Slo ~ I am not sure about heat stroke since I had no fever. Definitally heat exhaustion though. I tend to be sick to my stomach when my headache gets too severe, so that may have been the cause of that part of my problems. I am feeling better today, still headache-y but that is to be expected. nathan is complaining of headaches too (he is one of the kids who was showing signs of issues on Sunday) and I'll ask at his doctor's appointment today.

geffric ~ another college (though farther away) is Colorado College. It too offers the "one-course-at-a-time" program, if that is something he really liked about Cornell.

Morning people!!

I stayed up way too late last night!!!
And I've come to the realization that I'm too old for that!!! :rotfl: I cannot recoup the way I used to.

Speaking of Halloween costumes............
Does everyone's kids have something picked out?

Lauren decided the other day she wants to be a mime!!! :rotfl2:
This from the girl who always has something to say.
She does have the perfect outfit though. It's a new black and white striped top from Old Navy and black leggings. She just needs a beret and some short white gloves! Oh and the make up too!

slo Here is a link to the pumpkin farm we went to. It's in Crest Hill. Just a short drive from us.
Check out their site for all the fun stuff for kids to do.
Tony was the first to say it was better for little kids.

Did you get the girls clothes laid out for the cruise?

Hersey Glad Saratoga was so nice!
Why do the kids love looking at those lizards and frogs at WDW?? :rotfl:
We had no waits for buses either!! :)
Was that your first MNSSHP?? Did you guys dress up or wear Halloween shirts?

aces If you speak to Amy tell her we all said CONGRATS!!! :goodvibes

Sam You with nothing to say???? ;) Come on now!
25 more day for you guys to cruise!!!! :woohoo:
You and Megan must be so excited!!

Becky Hope your DD is fine at school....no coughing allowed! :)

Bunchkin~~ I will for sure tell her you all said congrats. She gave me a link for the babies picture, Real cute baby w/ dark hair. When I get to talk to her I will ask her if I can post the picture or the link if she is not able to get on here.

And the trip report continues..................

Day #4
MK

The day started out slow again for us!! No rush to get out, so we slept in a bit then all got ready for the day.

Took the golf cart to the marina to head to MK, then monorail to the Poly.
I forgot to take pics of our golf cart. We had it all decked out in Halloween window stickies on the windshield and skeleton garland around the top. It was a hoot to look at and we got our fair share of nice compliments. :goodvibes

We had a late breakfast ressie at Ohana's Best Friends breakfast.
This was the second time eating there for the kids and I but the first time for DH.
We had a really nice, attentive server. And the food was great, served family style. First out was a delicious guava juice. Then fruit and 2 different sweet breads, one with pineapple and the other with raisins. Followed by: Scrambled eggs, Mickey waffles, bacon, sausage, and the yummiest potatoes!! I've never seen the kids eat so much for breakfast before!!!

Characters present that day included: Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, Stitch

Here's Hunter trying to avoid Lilo!!! He really does not like girl characters at WDW!!! She was persistent in trying to get him to look at her. It was so cute.

And instead of shaking Pluto's hand, Hunter head butt his hand (gently of course). Pluto then held his hand out again to have him do it again.

We were one of the last 4 families to leave Ohana's, so we got to see the characters so many times. They just hung around with us last families. :goodvibes We missed a rain storm while we ate too.

So then off on the monorail to MK. Our last day of MK!!!! :sad1:
But it was an EMH late night so we planned on being there for as long as possible!! :thumbsup2

One of the first things we came upon was the meet and greet with jack Sparrow!!! YAY!!! :yay: The kids were thrilled and the wait was only about 10-15 minutes!!! This was a first for all of us!!

854368974111_0_ALB.jpg

164368974111_0_ALB.jpg

Here is one in the que area. Lauren didn't see the skeleton near by to her. She was looking at something else near by, turned, and was totally suprised to be up against it. :teeth:

593368974111_0_ALB.jpg

Then we were off to ride POTC again! And hit the store....again!

We forgot to do the Tiki room!!! We NEVER forget to do this. Even though it's not the original, we never miss it.

It was a great day of first rides for Hunter!! And for me!!! :rotfl:
We rode Space Mountain, BTMRR, and Hunter went on Splash as well. I hadn't done Space and BTMRR since I was a kid....maybe 11 yrs old.

Here they are!!! DD and DH are in yellow ponchos and DS is in between them in a blue poncho. And they weren't wearing them to stay dry on the ride it was raining off and on.

874368974111_0_ALB.jpg

And at one point there was a major down pour. But we survived it. Went on the Jungle Cruise while it rained, in our ponchos of course. Then stayed under the shelter of a store awning in Frontier Land while having a snack. Then hid in Country Bears. By the time we got out the rain finally stopped!

We did so many rides and attrations again this day!! It was amazing the lack of crowds and low wait times. It was busier in Fantasyland this day, but we had already done everything there the other day. All though we did do the Tea Cups again!!!

We ate dinner at Pecos Bills. We hadn't eaten there in years. There food must have changed since then, because it was much better. Better selection too. And unbelievably, it was quiet there!!! That is another thing we hated about that place...it is always packed and noisy!!

We closed the park down again!!! And had a great day!!!

We took the boat back to Ft. Wilderness and went straight to bed.
For tomorrorw would be our last full day at WDW!

Hi guys!

Congrats to Amy and her little girl. :cutie:

I'm looking forward to Michelle getting back to tell us about little Roman. :goodvibes

Bunchkin, I haven't really read much of your report, I'm such a slacker, but I love your pics!

Glad you had a great time at SSR Hersey.

Gosh, I was doing better keeping up and now I'm behind again. :sad2:

I went to Sonny Acres pumpkin patch in West Chicago with my Indy friends on Saturday. It was soooo hot! But it was fun to see the kids and all of their extended family that came. :rotfl: Seriously, aside from me and the five in my friend's family, there were like 14 other people.

I'm going to WDW soon! I have to leave home at like 4:30am Thursday. :scared: My flight is at 7:40am. But if it's on time I'm supposed to get in at 11:10am. I'm trying to allow myself enough time to be late and still make the party. <<fingers crossed>> My friend who works there is going out of town on Friday, so we're going to meet up for lunch at Concourse Steakhouse when I get there. If she's ready enough with her packing she'll come to the party with me on Thurs. night. Then on Friday I'm doing Epcot and the F&W fest. Saturday I'm planning on MK, and then Sunday I'm thinking maybe I'll have lunch at WCC and then go over to DTD until it's time to leave. I could go to a park, I'll still have a day on my ticket, but I'm thinking I'll just save it till next time rather than try to squeeze something in.

I got an ipod Classic recently. I had resisted getting one before, so now I have to get used to it. I've put a lot of my CDs on it. At least it's easy.

My boss has gotten a new job, so I hope whoever they hire will be nice!

Later!
