I'm tired!!
I stayed up to late last night paying bills.:faint:
When I go to bed past 10:30pm, I feel like a zombie.
I need to snap out of it though, because I have the newspaper coming to the store first thing to interview me. I payed to have this big 2 page spread in an upcoming town spotlight of the newspaper, and one page is an article about the store. I'm hoping that this will create a lot more awareness (fingers crossed)

Sam - Thanks for telling me about Nikki's hair. I bet Stephanie will pick her, because she does really want her ::yes::
**I understand you being nervous about Megan going to Navy Pier. Do the kids all wear the same t-shirt, or something for the teachers to easily keep track of them? Stephanie's class all wear a bright lime green shirt when they go on field trips. Another thing that I do is put her name, address, my cell phone, and my store phone number in her pocket in case she gets lost. Granted, she knows her name and address, but I worry that if she does get lost, and is really upset, she may be to scared to remember. She doesn't have those phone numbers memorized, so they are good for her to have on her :thumbsup2
**Now that it's the day after Megans trip - did she have a good time??? She had a great day to be there - it was beautiful outside!!!!

piglet - That's great about Lauren!!! Stephanie would love to learn how to ride a horse:goodvibes

Bunchkin - That was nice of you to help your mom:) I know how challenging she can be.
**I think you're right about Stephanie not waiting for her birthday to get her doll. Once she gets that new doll, I won't be able to seperate them

graciegirlie - I've never done the tea at GF, but it sounds really nice!!!

DMM - You make a great lunch!! :) You make my lunch sound really boring

Mac - How are the boys doing today?

HERSEY - :wave2:

paint - Good to see you!!:) I can't remember if I've seen you since you moved - did the move go smooth for you?

Tiiiiiiiiiiiigern - I'm glad your ankle is starting to feel better :)
**How did Kyle do at his first sleepover last night?

Well, I gotta go jump in the shower, and figure out what I'm going to wear today.
Have a good day today everyone!!

Hi Donna!! :wave2:

We posted at the same time :)

My employee is doing great, and she is spoiling me.
If I don't hire someone else soon, I'm going to be working 51 hours a week again when she leaves for school :guilty: I love my store and all, but I also love my home too :)

Hello Everyone !:)

[B said:
castoff[/B] - Your puzzle sounds great:) !!! My store is in NW Indiana - I'll pm you with the detail of the location. Thanks for thinking of me!!!:goodvibes

I didn't get your PM but I didn't realize you were in Indiana.:sad1: We are 1/2 way done with puzzle. I am to old to do a puzzle within a puzzle.:rotfl2:

geffric: Sunburn good, thanks for asking. No signs of peeling yet.:thumbsup2
Have you tried the new spa products yet from DCL? I have been putting the body butter on non-stop and boy did it really put moisture back into the skin. Brooke got 4 shots at Doctor's ! Posted on cruise thread about her getting the hep.A shot.

good morning chicagoland homies.

i can't be on long. have to take son for an EKG at lake forest hospital.

might not be around anymore today due to trying to organize things .

but, i'll try to read later to catch up.

hope you all have a great day !
it's 70 degrees here now with a strong wind blowing.

Hi Everyone!

Megan did have a good time at Navy Pier. She must have because she was sound asleep when I got home from work. She woke up in time to eat dinner, dessert and go back to bed. I think she's going through a growth spirt actually. She seems to be sleeping a lot. If she's going to grow, do it now before I buy back to school clothes. :rotfl: She's a bundle of energy when she's awake, so I know she isn't getting sick. Just seems to be needing lots of extra rest these days. She asked if I would take her back to Navy Pier this summer, so maybe I'll have to schedule that in.

Bunchkin, Megan had two of her AG dolls, Bitty Baby and Emily, downstairs on her birthday, but Nicki was upstairs in her room. Megan is funny in a way. She develops a "loyalty" to certain dolls and I think she almost feels bad if she plays with the new one vs. one she's had for a while. She doesn't want to hurt the old ones feelings??? It took her a long time to warm up to her Bitty Baby because she felt like she would be hurting her other doll's feelings. Now she plays with both baby dolls equally. So, it may take her time to play with Nicki vs. her Emily.

That didn't stop her from being indignant about not getting Jackson, the horse. Sheesh!

It's supposed to be a wonderful weather weekend compared to last weekend! What's everyone doing? We have several parties to attend and it will be a busy weekend, but I'm up for it this weekend.

:cheer2:

TGIF EVERYONE!!!!!

Even though this doesn't apply to me as much because I still have to work tomorrow:rolleyes: But there's always something wonderful about Fridays!!!!

I had only one customer the last couple days, which is better than nothing:rolleyes: . I do have the possibility of doing 12 frames for a hospital if they approve the price. The hospital is going through a marketing company, and the marketing company is owned by an old customer of mine from my previous employment, so he is really trying to get me the work:) . He's a great guy, and I"m really appreciative that he's coming to me for this work (if the hospital approves it- fingers and toes crossed:wizard: ).

castoff - I didn't send you the PM - sorry  There are so many times that I want to do something on The DIS, and then I get distracted with work or family and I forget. I will send it now!!! :thumbsup2

Mac - How did your sons EKG go yesterday?

Sam - I'm glad Megan had a good time yesterday at Navy Pier:) Stephanie really loves it there too ::yes::

Well, I gotta get ready for work, and get Steph to school a little earlier than normal, because she is going swimming at the YMCA today. She's really looking forward to that!!!!!

Have a good day today!!!!

I get to pick my DD up from camp today! YEAH!!!!! I can't wait to hear how everything went plus bonus, we get to eat dinner at Grandma's!!:cool1:

I've just got to make sure I stop and pick up some Tylenol before I go because I'm hedging my bets she will have a headache when I pick her up. I'm thinking she'll fall asleep in the car on the way home. The good thing is besides the storms on Monday & Tuesday, the weather has absolutely been fantastic for camp! Woo Hoo!!! Finally a good year at least weather wise. I hope it was good everything else wise too.

This was our last big hurrah summer thing to do. Next will be summer school to get done & then it will be time for back to school shopping. :lmao: It never ends. I'm sure DD will be bored within a couple days now though.

Every group does these little skits at the end of camp before official closing and they are so funny. I can't wait to see what they come up with. There were only about 12 girls in her group which is I think the smallest amount she's ever had.

Morning all. Got good/bad news from ortho yesterday. Good news is no surgery needed. The fracture is healing well on its own. Bad news is I have to keep the boot and the crutches for at least 4 more weeks.:sad2:
We decided to give DL and our vacation a try though. I'll just rent an ECV or wheelchair at the parks and we'll have to modify the stuff we do elsewhere to w/c accessible things. No strolls on the beach for me this time.:sad1: But the kids will still have fun. DH is forced to go along both days to DL and DCA. He was planning on a day of something else. Oh, well. Kids will need a rider for some of the things I won't be able to get on. Our friend is also going along, so they will be paired up. I'll just have to take the pix/video. It will be a different vacation for us. More relaxed. No vacation commando stuff.

Becky, glad to hear your DD had a good weather week for camp. Hope she enjoyed herself.

Slo, :wizard: that you get the hospital bid. I know that would really make your month. Kyle had a good time at the sleepover. They stayed up til 11:30watching Star Wars. They went to some place in Orland for mini golf in the dark.:confused3 Black lights? He said it was cool, and then they let the kids play air hockey and mini basketball for free.

Sam, this weekend I think we are going to the races. Illiana Speedway. Not NASCAR (though we have done that one in the past) My kids preschool used to volunteer to work the Joliet Motor Speedway for the NASCAR weekend. I would usher and hang around inside and watch the races from the fence. It was a cool gig to make money for the school. A LITTLE LOUD THOUGH!!!

Mac, how did things go yesterday? Is anyone feeling any better there yet?

I have the housekeepers here now. Weird to sit here while someone else cleans your house.:woohoo:

Well, gonna :surfweb: for a bit and then do the one job I can.:laundy: Have a good day all.

aww..tiggerrn, I am sure the trip will still be magical anyways!!

Sandy, good luck on your hospital bid!

Hope you all have a fab friday and weekend! Nothing too thrilling going on over here this weekend, Just a Drs. appt for me and one for Autumn.

Hey Tiggerrn, DL is going to be fine! I'm not sure if you've been there before, but it is small compared to MK at WDW and lots of things are literally right next to each other, especially in Fantasyland. Use the ECV or wheel chair and you'll get to the front of the line. A lot of rides in Fantasyland would be fine for your kids to go on alone, like Alice, Casey Jr. Train, Mr. Toad. Maybe DH or your friend could wait in line with them and then exit at the last minute if they don't want to ride. You'll be okay on a lot of those rides too. Fantasyland in DL is a lot more fun than WDW (IMHO) because its like ride, next, ride, next, ride, next. I'm glad you don't need surgery, but boo for the boot.

Definitely hit Toontown in DL because its WAY more fun than at MK in WDW. Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin is great great fun and the queue line is also fun, especially if you are RR fan. I can't wait to get back to DL. I know Bunchkin had a rough time there on her last visit, but Megan and I both loved DL and DCA isn't too bad either really. Just think, you'll still be able to do Soarin!! In a wheelchair or ECV, you and the kids will go to the front of the line! Please don't miss the stage show Aladdin as it is truly Broadway quality and just so fun. The Genie that did our show as a complete riot. He even cracked up the actor playing Aladdin. Aladdin had to turn his back to us and you could tell he was chuckling. Really good show!!

You'll be surprised how easy it is there to get a lot of things done real quick!

Have a great time!

Also, have a great time at the races this weekend. I haven't been to races in a long time. Hmmm... could be another summer fun thing to do!

Edited to Add: SLO, I have my fingers crossed for you and I'm sending good vibes and Pixie Dust!

HI..

Just a brief hello..

MAC - how are your sons doing?

SLO - hope that order comes through for you..

Tiggerrn2 have fun at DL. My boys loved DCA - Soarin and TOT but also the free sour dough bread and tortillos.. I loved the Mickey climbing the Matterhorn and Roger Rabbitt.. don't forget to take the Toontown trolley..

We are going to a wedding Saturday.. nothing else planned..

Hi everyone! :wave2:

I'm going to DL too! See my ticker? :yay:

I'm going to see the Electrical Parade, which I've never seen (at least that I remember) and which wasn't playing the last two times I went because it was September. I love that music and I just have to see it. So I was planning a trip for the summer, and then I won free plane tickets at work! :yay: They were really restricted fares (on Northwest), but I finally found a time that would work. I'm leaving on August 18, flying through Minneapolis, and arriving at John Wayne airport in Orange County in early evening. I might be able to make the EP that day, but maybe not. But I did buy a ticket for that day because DL is open until midnight and I should be able to get at least four hours in.

Then on Sunday I'm thinking about trying the Segway tour of DCA in the morning. It sounds pretty cool. That could be my "extra" for the trip. I was going to try to get balcony seating for Fantasmic, but the Disney Gallery is closing at the end of the month :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: so it the seating won't be offered anymore. (Riverside will, but I've done that and didn't find it worth it. I think the balcony desserts are better. :thumbsup2 )

Then I have Sunday and Monday to see the EP. I wanted to have at least two chances in case of rain. I'm coming home Tuesday afternoon, and I got a park ticket for that day, too, so I could hit a few things before I leave, at the very least do some shopping. :thumbsup2

So I'm excited! I'm really growing to like DL a lot. :goodvibes I know you didn't like it Bunchkin, but really I think you all should try it at least once.

I'm staying at the Best Western Park Place Inn this time, instead of a Disney hotel, just because it's so much cheaper. That one is probably just as close at the Grand Californian, but so much less money! :scared1:

I'm also planning to go to WDW sometime for MNSSHP. I haven't booked the trip, though. I haven't decided on a date. I'm thinking sometime in mid-October. Is anyone here going then?

So those are my current Disney plans. Later! :goodvibes

Leigh, HOW FUN!!!! sounds like a blast!
My father and Sal (DH) did the EPCOT round the world segway tour and had a blast!!

Leigh We are going to WDW 9/30 to 10/7 I think Mac is going to be there a little longer ending in the "darkside"
Great news about wining the tickets :cool1:

one of the sons failed his EKG.
so, just taking it one day at a time.

i'm doing okay. i worry but that's normal for me.

thanks for asking.

the one that had the tonsillictemy should have been doing better by now.
his doc told him it would take about 3 weeks to heal. he is having trouble with swallowing...........but that is not stopping him from eating now..:rotfl:

the zpak seems to have helped todd a lot. he has one more night of taking it.
i think he will be well before the others are. and he is the nice one...

Check out what I found...if your child is interested in singing:

http://www.risingstarsshowchoir.com/RSBrochure07Disneyfall.pdf

Apparently they will be performing at Disney Music Days. I have to check this out more.

I picked DD up from camp & she did NOT have a good time this year. She's been going to GS camps since entering 2nd grade & always wanted to return. She told me she wanted to take a break next year. :o It must have been really bad. I got some scoop but not much, apparently there was a lot of fighting going on amongst the girls this week.

Anyway, I found out about the Rising stars a little late in the game, so just went to their home page again today and all of a sudden I saw a Disney World thing on there, so I *had* to click to see what that was all about. :lmao:

Now I need to check into this group a little more I think. Hee Hee.

Thanks everyone for you good wishes about me getting this hospital order!!! :)

Not only would that order be great, but he said there are other hospitals owned by these people (I don't know if it's the same hospital:confused3 ) that may be needing things framed too. This would really be awesome for me!!!:goodvibes

Last night I went and got my hair cut (the first time since Easter). It feels so nice :goodvibes Now in a couple of minutes I"m going to go color my hair before I go to work - that will feel even better:goodvibes Way to much grey showing right now

Becky - I"m sorry your DD didn't have a good time at camp:guilty: She says now that she does't want to go next year, but next year she may change her mind. But if she had that bad of a time, it probably is time for a break ::yes::

Tiggggerrnnnnnnnnnnn - I"m so sorry to hear that you have to wear that boot for 4 more weeks  Your vacation will still be great - try to not let this bring you down

DMM - How was your doctor appt?

SamIAm - I forgot about Linda being able to go to the front of the line - that will be great for her!!!!:thumbsup2

geffric - Have fun at your wedding today!! :)

Leigh - That's great about you going to DL!! :cool1: How's the unpacking going?

HERSEY - :wave2:

Mac - I'm sorry about your DS failing his EKG:guilty: What's the next thing he needs to do? Hang in there - all this sickness with your boys has got to be hard for you  When you need us, we are here for you!!! :grouphug: I'll also send tons more PD their way!! :wizard: :wizard:

Well, I gotta run - my color awaits :teeth:
Have a great day today!!!!

Where is the sun? I don't want to be inside today. No rain today later tonight while I'm sleeping would be fine. I really need to get things done in my yard. I bought some plants and have to get them in the ground.

What is everyone doing this weekend?

Has anyone seen Harry Potter yet? I want to go see it but I don't want to be shoulder to shoulder. How have the shows been crowded?
