Slo I was thinking about finding a garden center that sold worms. I need some to help break up my crappy soil.

I remember when Alex was around 3 I dug up a worm fior him and put in his hand I thought he was going to faint. The look on his face :lmao: He doesn't handle bugs and slimey things well.:sad2:

Welcome xnascar2x :welcome:

tarheelmjfan- enjoyed the pic from the link you posted!

Hi to all!
Gotta do some errands.
Be back later.

Oh, almost forgot, the webmaster emails are back to normal! :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone!!!

Today is a half day for the big kids. Hunter does still have his afternoon preschool though.

I need to start packing. Actually, I have a ton of things to do this weekend. So it's going to be a busy one! :faint:

slo WORMS!!! I hate worms!!!! :faint:
Tony's mom is doing ok. She was having surgery to remove the cancer again from her bladder. Luckily, we get to see them soon as I don't think they will be making any trips out here soon, like they usually do.
Thanks for asking.

Montgomery IL checking in this morning.

:mickeyjum :stitch: :mickeyjum

Hi xnascar2x in Montgomery! I'm moving to Aurora, which I think is close to you. :thumbsup2 Your little princess is so cute! :cutie:

Speaking of my house, I've got my phone, cable, and garage door opener done (and the garage door works now :woohoo: ). Right now there's someone there doing the security system, after some haggling back and forth over where to put things over the phone. :faint: And someone's coming to do the humidifyer. Tomorrow I get my new furniture, and then the next weekend the movers come!
:yay:

Oh, Donna, Worlds is this week. There's stuff on ESPN tonight, and tomorrow and Sunday. There was something last night, which I think they're repeating some late at night as well.

YAHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

2 weeks from today we'll just have taken off and be in the air flying to Vegas to see Grandma and Grandpa, and we'll probably be the only people on the plane with kids!!!!...and probably the only people heading to Vegas NOT to gamble!!!! :rotfl:
And then 5 days later we drive to Anaheim for 6 days in DISNEYLAND!!!! :cool1:

Morning all.
Hersey, the puppy is a lab. Mom is 75lbs full grown, dad is 115#. So the puppy could get large. MY DD is only about 38# and she's very petite so it doesn't take much to yank her along.:rotfl:
Get well all you sickies!!!
I'll check in later. Have to go to my mom's today. She's having a tax time crises. My Dad left some stock when he passed away and she cashed some in and put it elsewhere for interest earnings only now she can't find the original price of the stock and the tax man says she'll have to pay tax on the whole value (not just the capital gains):scared1: :faint: if she can't prove how much was paid for it in the first place.
Don't know how I can help. I'm not that up on that stuff myself. And her house is a disaster. I think the two of them kept every slip of paper every received since 1966.
Well, I'm off. Catch you all later.

Bunchkin-I know. I'm nuts. Figure the house will take a while to sell anyway. Puppy gets the kitchen/dining area only. No carpeted rooms. DD had her heart set on keeping puppy in her room. Mamma put her foot down!!!:lmao:
You better get to packing. Time's a wasting!!!!
Leigh, I'm excited for you. Just think, this time next month you should be just about all settled in.
OK-bye all for now.

I actually kinda like earthworms (yes you heard me right). Many times I will pick them up and throw them in the grass. But, I had gloves on, and I was holding an umbrella, so I didn't do any earthworm tossing this morning.

:lmao: My 10 year old does that he rescues worms all the time. For that matter he tries to rescue most bugs in the house. Which is a good thing because I'm evil when the critters are in my house...I kill them (or get DH to kill them depending on how big it appears to me or if he's around. Sometimes if it's just me & the kiddos I have to suck it up & pretend the huge monster ugly spider isn't freaking the bejeepers out of me! :scared1: ).

:welcome:

I hope everyone who isn't feeling well is feeling better today.

I have a question for you all -- I'm just wondering if I just went ahead and paid for nothing. :rotfl: I'm planning on taking DS to the Field Museum over spring break. They have a new Dinosaur exhibit that is supposed to open on the 30th. I was looking on-line yesterday and in the ticket section it had tickets for the 28 & 29th "goes on sale on 3/23 at 9:00 CDT" I was thinking maybe it was a preview for Members only that could get the tickets -- you could already buy the tickets for the 30th & beyond. At 9 AM, I went on-line to see what type of tickets & sure enough you could buy tickets for the exhibit for the 28 or 29. I'm really, really, really, really, really hoping it's something like a soft opening (or how stores are open a couple days before their Grand Opening). Anyone have experience with this? I went ahead and bought tickets for the Thursday because that works out better for my mom who is babysitting the other kids. I'm just freaking out that I'm going to go there & they look at me like I'm crazed because I have tickets for an exhibit that's not even open yet!

I did try calling the Field Museum & after much wading through a phone menu got the operator asked if it will TRULY be open & she just basically said she didn't understand what I was asking -- it opens the 30th.

So, I called the place that sells the tickets thinking maybe they would know that yes it's officially opens the 30th but it's a soft opening or something. She just thinks I'm looney too & says "I don't know you might want to double check that because it does say the 30th but we have tickets for the 28th & 29th".

I will just have to promise DS we will go again if I do get there & they are :confused3 with it & the exhibit isn't really open. I don't know why they would put tickets for sale though for those days if it wasn't open. It's one of those exhibits where you have timed tickets so only so start times are staggered for people entering the exhibit.

Looks like it will be an adventure however we do it. I just don't like unknowns. :rotfl2:

People come into the library to look at old microfilm newspapers to find stock prices around tax season. You can also get most historical stock quotes online now.

I was reading the boards this morning as I was eating breakfast and then the worm discusssion came up and turned my stomach :rotfl: Icky.

I'd totally go on that roller coaster! I'm a coaster nut!

Lucky you! That will be a great trip!!! We've never been to Disneyland, but I'd love to go soon. We've been to Vegas, & I don't gamble either. I did splurge by purchasing $20 in nickels, & spent the week using the same nickels just trying to pass the time while my DH gambled a little. I considered it a week's worth of entertainment for $20. :rotfl: There's so many great things to do there, who wants to spend time throwing their money away. Oh yeah, my DH.

I just looked at these pics!!

There is no way on God's green Earth I would EVER get on that ride!!!!!

Yeah, after riding that, it would be a while before you'd even think about wanting a Mickey Bar or anything else to eat.:crazy2:

I think I may have solved our parking dilemna. It appears our hotel will be hosting 2 conferences with 3,000 delegates each, during our stay. There's also Lollapalooza. Looks like we'll be using valet parking at the hotel. I just hope it's not full. :bitelip:

Our scout troop this weekend was going to Mississippi Palasades for hiking but with the rain and thunderstorms. this has jut been switched to the Wis Dells.. And we are going to do the Ducks and a boat trip and then swim at Mt Olympus YEAH!!! Even eric wants to go now..

Yeah rain!!! :teeth: I just noticed you're cruising the Panama Canal next year. I'm so jealous! That's the next big (aka expensive) cruise I want to take.

home from work but going to bed in about an hour.

tarheel, i will get to the post office tomorrow and mail out the brochures for you.

has any one else here suggested site seeing places for you and the family to hit when you come for vacay? i'm still trying to google and find better garage parking for you. $45 per day for parking is a lot of money and you will be in the city for about a week. tuesdays used to be the free day for the science and industry museum. don't know if that is still the free day now for 07.

geffric, you wil like the dells. we call it the great tourist trap.
the ducks ride is kewl. have been there a lot.
it has really built up and more than just the dells and water rides now.
enjoy it.

Hi Everyone,
Glad everyone seems to be doing good. Hope you feel better soon Macraven. Thanks for the well wishes for the fam. I feel like I live in an infirmary! The kids are still sick and DH has been really sick. After missing 5 days of work for federal jury duty now he’s been off another two. I finally took the kids into the doctor today because I was worried about DSs breathing. Oh well…just another rough respiratory virus I guess. If I see another snot though I am going to puke! I can’t wait until this passes.

Becky...if it's not one thing it's another isn't it!

I have been having a lot of trouble getting on the DIS the past couple days. It has been pretty annoying. I hope they can fix all the problems and be better in the end.

Some of you are going to have trips here before you know it!!!! Bunchkin yours is so…. soon! Good for you!

Sorry if I missed anyone who needs a well wish or a hug or pixie dust of some sort...I am trying to catch up but it's been tricky!
