Hey all. Just got in from work. The puppy is here!!!!!
He's so cute. He was sleeping next to DD and both of them were sitting in his little bed.
He's not very active tonight. Wonder if it's just been a big day. He did get shots last night, too. I think he misses his dog family. Hope he sleeps tonight. Especially since I have to get up at 5am again tomorrow.
Later all.
Happy Birthday mvazul!!! I remember the 35th, and the 36th and the .....:lmao:
Mac and Hersey, get well. :sad2:
Jedi, I may go to the library Monday and just see what I can find for that stock in 1989. My mom thinks that is when they got it. At least it is something. Thanks again for the idea.
This is the place to come for answers!!!!:thanks: :disrocks:
Hi Rose

Hi Tiggerrn :wave2:
Glad all is going well with the puppy! :dogdance:
What's his/her name and do you have a pic of him/her?

Mac- you probably have the intestinal bug that I had 2 weeks ago.
Hope you feel better pretty soon!

Hiya Rose.
Puppy's name is Tigs.
I will try to get a picture of him here on Monday. Too tired tonight and have to work 12 hours again tomorrow.
Going to bed now as well.
Night!!

Another night of sleeping with the window open was so nice.:)
I'm so glad that Spring is here!!! :flower2:

My friend Kathy from the FD Wives thread wanted me to tell you all thank you for the prayers you said for her. She is very grateful, and wants you all to know she is doing better :goodvibes

Rose - Have fun at the kids b-day party today!! :cool1:

Bunchkin - Thanks for the idea of time for The Meet. I will tell my mom it will be around lunch time (give or take):thumbsup2

Jedi - :wave2:

Mac - How are you feeling today? I sure hope you are feeling better :wizard:

HERSEY - :wave2:

Tiggerrnnn - I can hardly wait to see a picture of Tiggs :dog: How did he do for you last night?

Well, I gotta go make some breakfast
Kevin was at FD class all day yesterday and again today, and then all next weekend, so I don't have him to make breakfast:guilty: It's to bad, he really excels at breakfast :goodvibes

Have a good day today everyone!!

thank you all for the kind thoughts.
today i am among the living again.

hersey: i left the light on for you all night.
when i woke up this morning, only the cat was in bed with me.

did get up this morning at 11:30 to make a run to the post office but came home and back to bed. think i have some sort of intestinal bug. i'm sure it will run its course and i should be better soon. thank you for the well wishes.

I hope you didn't go to the post office just for me. I really appreciate you sending me the brochures, but I feel bad you went out sick. :guilty: Glad you're feeling better.

i promised to mail out some brochures and i had to go out saturday for that.
it's not a big deal.

i wasn't wearing my pajamas on this run out yesterday.
i had on real clothes.

let me know when they arrive.

can anyone else here think of some can't be missed site seeing events for tarheel when she comes to chicago this summer?

she and her family are chicago virgins.
it's all new territory for them.

slo, i just reread your post.
kevin excels in making breakfast......

eh, do you live that far from me, or would the food be cold by the time i got it....:rotfl: :rotfl:

Greetings.. WOW what a beautiful weekend.. I did lots of errands, and cleaning and laundry and cooking and some stuff for me too.. Wish the whole year could be like this..:rolleyes1

It was wonderful today. I hope you all enjoyed it. I am hoping everyone in my house is on the mend. We went outside for some long needed fresh air!!!!

Side note...I feel so bad I told my Dear Cousin to post on the DIS (start a thread) and for her first post she stated her son would be turning two on the first day of their trip(thinking this was the age to begin paying). She asked if it would be terrible to not pay yet and the poor girl totally got flamed! She was so sad. I feel so bad and I still can't believe people actually will yell at people on these threads! It surprises me everytime. Instead of telling her that the age to begin paying is actually three they told her she had no morals and that her son would obviously grow up to be a diliquent! YIKES! She deleted the post best she could to put a stop to the madness!

Debbie Sorry to hear about what happened to your cousin! :scared:
I can't believe some people! :(
And since her son would be turning 2, what's the big deal anyway???
They could have just stated the age a child has to pay is 3 and then left it at that. :sad2:
You should tell her to stop by here and we'll give her a warm welcome!! :hippie: :goodvibes

I should have her stop by here! She's sweet! I felt bad for her.

Remember how we were all talking about a DVC store opening in Woodfield this summer???

I just found this on Disney's web site in the job opening section:

Sales Rep (PT) - Chicago Disney Vacation Club Part Time posted 3/5/2007
Chicago, IL
Schaumburg, IL

JOB DESCRIPTION

Disney Vacation Club, the innovative vacation-ownership program that helps families enjoy flexibility and savings on decades of future vacations, is announcing the development of a first-of-its-kind preview center to be located in a retail storefront within the popular Woodfield Mall in the greater Chicago area. The preview center will be named “Disney’s Doorway to Dreams” and is scheduled to open later this summer.

Now celebrating its 15th anniversary and with more than 300,000 individual members from all 50 states and more than 100 countries, Disney Vacation Club offers vacations to Disney destinations and more than 500 other popular sites around the world. Disney’s Doorway to Dreams preview center in suburban Chicago will complement Disney Vacation Club sales at existing centers at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla. and at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. Staffing for the new preview center will be comprised of Disney Cast Members who receive rigorous training to meet and exceed professional standards as well as to be able to deliver legendary Disney guest service. The Disney Vacation Club preview center will incorporate an interactive family vacation discovery zone, a children’s play area and multiple sales support offices within its approximately 6,300 square feet of retail space. Plans also call for a full-scale replica of a two-bedroom model vacation home to be included within the preview center.

Hi all-
Had a good time today with our casual early birthday party for Chrissy and Matthew with our good friends :goodvibes The kids got the Peter Pan DVD and a couple of other items for their birthday :yay:
We had a blast today at McDonald's playland chatting with our good friends :)

Hope everyone enjoyed the nice weather :beach:

Debbie- sorry to hear about what happened to your cousin on her thread :sad2: Unfortunately the meanness factor can happen just about any thread on the Disboards as I have seen the meanness factor on threads. I let people that are mean just slide down my back and not let it get to me. Hopefully your cousin can do that, too.

Bunchkin- cool! :thumbsup2

Anyone applying for the DVC job at Woodfield? Just asking...

Geffric- how did your DS's do at the Dells? Did they have a good time?

Mac- glad you're feeling better:)

Tarheel- sightseeing in Chicago: maybe take in a Wendella boat ride that tours the Chicago river, the lock system, and the lake.Tour the Sears tower or Hancock building. Of course, the museums:Science and Industry, Field Museum. Art Institute. Shopping on Michigan Ave.

Slo- glad Kathy from FD wives thread is doing better :thumbsup2

Hey, anyone notice my ticker to Hershey Park? First time I have had a ticker here, as last summer we didn't really go on vacation.

Have a good evening. Lights out.

Wasn't the weather yesterday wonderful?!?! :sunny:
The girls were outside from 10:30am until 6:30pm. They even ate their lunch outside. They really needed the fresh air.

Stephanie is on spring break this week, so we don't have to rush as much this morning. I still have to go to work, but the rush factor is still not there :)

macraven - I'm glad you are feeling better :)
**I do think breakfast will be cold by the time you got here (I'm about 2 1/2 hours away from you). But I can always put it in the microwave when you got here ;)

tarheel - :wave2:

HERSEY - I've never had cinnamon almonds at Navy Pier. Do you buy those at the same cart that you buy cashews? I'll have to try those. :)

geffric - :wave2:

Debbie - I'm so sorry to hear how your cousin got flamed:sad1: Some people are so so so mean!!!! I agree with Nicole - tell her to come here and join us, where she'll be welcomed with open arms :goodvibes

Bunchkin - Thanks for the info on the DVC Store. I'll be curious to see what it's like after it opens.

Rose - I"m glad you had a good time at your children's b-day party :goodvibes
**Congrats on your ticker - how exciting!!!!! :cool1:

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work
Have a good, and beautiful day today :sunny: everyone!!!

Morning..:surfweb:

end of the qtr so I am swamped.. but got to enjoy the weather yesterday. The boys loved the Dells. Had a great time , they did the Ducks and an upper Dells boat ride and the the next day went to Mt Olympus water park plus. They had a wonderful time and didn't get home last night until 8 pm.

Debbie - I'm so sorry to hear how your cousin got flamed. There is no reason for that at all.. next time sent her here and we will help.

Rose Glad you had a good time at your children's b-day party and ongrats on your ticker .. hope you have a great time at Hershey park.

Bunchkin,, thanks for the DVC info.. wonder what kind of perks come with that job..maybe i should apply??

Yesterday was quite busy for us. Went shopping, lunch, saw the TMNT movie, then more shopping. :yay:

slo Hope Stephanie has a nice spring break. Are you doing anything out of the ordinary while she's off? :)

gerrfic If you look at Disney's site in the jobs section, they have a sales postion open as well for that DVC store. You are in sales, right?
Maybe that would be up your alley. :)

Rosemarie Congrats to you on going to Hershey Park. We've considered going there several times....especially after watching a special on the Travel Channel about the park. I would love to do one of their chocolate spa packages!!! :cloud9:

Hello everyone.

Haven't posted a lot lately due to demanding work schedule. My boss' wife had a baby boy last week and he was trying to get a lot done before taking his "paternity" leave. I love when guys do that. I was totally on board and when he left last Wednesday, I could tell he felt comfortable about being gone for a couple weeks.

So, today, is a good day, even though I'd rather be at home or outside enjoying the weather.

Yesterday was a mix of good and bad for me. I took Megan and her friend to the park yesterday and near the end of the visit, I felt a migraine coming on. So, from about 2:00 to about 6:30 p.m., I was pretty much down for the count on the couch. Megan is so sweet though, she made me a card and she drew the both of us at Cinderella's Castle and it said Feel better soon Mommy. It made me tear up, but I couldn't cry cause it would have hurt too much. I think I did something right with this little girl because she just has a huge heart!!

However, I fell asleep for a while and when I woke up the pain was gone although the fog was still there. So, I got a bit of the evening to sit out on my deck and breathe in some nice air.

I think I brought the migraine on myself by trying read at the park. I just think sitting there with my head crooked down and the bright white pages and focusing on the text. I had sunglasses on, but I don't think it helped enough. So, next time I go to the park, no reading. :thumbsup2

So, now I feel a bit robbed and may have to just go out for a walk at lunch time. The cat's away, so the mouse is heading out!!

I have to go back and read and catch up.

Good morning all-
My kids are on spring break this week.

Thanks Slo, geffric, and bunchkin for the good wishes for I and my family's upcoming Hershey Park trip in June :goodvibes I know it isn't Disney, but very close to it in my standards. We will be driving there. Actually my DH says he actually looks forward to driving there and back :confused3 ;) We haven't driven out that way before, so it will hopefully be a pleasant adventure.
We are sooo looking forward to this trip!! I booked a non-Hershey owned hotel for a few nights - about 5 to 10 min from Hershey Park. Got pretty good rates compared to staying at the Hershey-owned hotels, resorts.

Bunchkin- yeah, I have been getting the Hershey chocolate spa email advertisements for awhile. The spa looks nice!

SamIAm- was wondering what happened to you ;) thought maybe you and your family were on spring break or you were very busy at work or something. Glad you are feeling better from your migraine. I get those sun-induced migraines once in a while in the summer. Not fun. :headache:

Hi to all

Have a nice day everyone :sunny:
