I totally have that allergy thing going on too!
But I knew it was coming and started back up on the prescription allergy meds a few weeks ago. Although that doesn't help with the sinus headaches too much!

I take Zyrtec but it makes me sleepy at night!

Morning everyone.
here right now!!!!! After it poured this morning and was so dark it looked like it was still 5am at 8am. I hope it warms up. I think a walk is in my afternoon plan.
to Mac and Jedi. Hope the two of you feel better soon.
Sandy, isn't it great when you know you are your child's most admired person? (At least for a little while)
OK lots of shopping to do for the new puppy. I had planned to use the old bowls we had, but DH pointed out that they will tip easily and we will probably have a mess daily. Soooo, new bowls $, toys$, chew toys$$, vet bills$$$, crate (borrowed thankfully), look on children's faces-priceless. I figured we'd hit PetsMart tomorrow (or WalMart)and walk up and down isles and put things in the cart. Figured the kids would have a good time doing that.
Went to the library last night and DD now has lots of puppy training books to read. The puppy will train us just like all the other dogs we've had!!!!
I do plan on obedience training classes this time. No need for a 90lb dog to drag my DD down the street on a walk.
Well, better go get the organizing of this house finished. Have a nice day everyone.

I everyone...my family is sick again! What a drag. DH is home with it now and he drives me nuts when he is sick. I feel bad that he bugs me because he feels so lousy but he's a big baby when he's sick. He never used to get sick before we had kids so he's not used to it. The irony is that when I am sick I am a huge baby so you would think I would have some sympathy! They all seem to have a respiratory thing going on. I pray my Mom and I don't get it! It's nasty!

Have a great Spring day today everyone. Maybe I'll actually get out of here and get some fresh air!

helenm29 you have had good advice here. but also remember that Chicago gets snowy and icy in the winter so any commute is 2 or 3 times as long in the winter.The areas that you have mentioned are awfully far out.. check the school districts in the area ( both grammer and HS) see how they are scoring.. will your kids get a good education there.. how far to shopping, etc.. closer in to the city and good public transportation is schuamburg, roselle, hoffman estates, palatine, rolling meadows, arlington heights and mt prospect...

Depends where your Dh is going to be working at(what suburb).

Also ditto what tarheel said. Try to visit here a few days and see what suburb and housing and schools you want, what works best for your family.

In the northwest suburbs of Chicago, the more expensive the housing is, the better the schools are mostly and the better the neighborhood is.
You're paying the housing price for mostly a crime free neighborhood and extremely good schooling for the kids.

And there are things about him that I don't agree with like his political views.

So it is possible to lust after someone with the knowledge that there are parts of them you dislike.

Tiggerrnnn - Are you going to Landheim for the classes? Remember they have a puppy kindergarten class that I would recommend to everyone with a new puppy. I went 3 times - once with my mom and her new puppy, and then once with each of my dogs.

good friday morning chicagoland homies........

well, i am up and getting ready for work.
when the school bell rings, i'll come back home and take a nap.

the spring break where i work starts at 3:15 today.......

my son had his break last week.



wonder also if it is clifford the big red dog that will be walking you and your kidlettes down the street......

You should see the amount of earthworms on my driveway.

When I went outside to see Stephanie get on the bus, it was like walking through a field of landminds - I didn't want to step on any of them.

Then I saw the biggest, longest, earthworm of them all - I bet he was 9 -10 inches long He was in the grass.

I actually kinda like earthworms (yes you heard me right). Many times I will pick them up and throw them in the grass. But, I had gloves on, and I was holding an umbrella, so I didn't do any earthworm tossing this morning.
