Just wondering...have I seen you on the disABILITIES boards? Or that could be another tarheel DISser.I haven't been onthe disABILITIEs boards in awhile tho.

Thanks for the welcome. It's probably someone else. I posted there a few times, but it's been a very long time. I have arthritis & a deteriorating spine & was asking something related to that. It's been so long I don't even remember exactly what I was inquiring about. The boards I visit most are the Universal Boards. I also frequent the Budget Board, & WDW Restaurants board. I haven't had a lot of time for any of them lately though.

Hey all.
Happy Spring!!!
I just have to say that POC3 is going on my calendar as "not to be missed"!!!
How are you all doing? I have had a crazy few days.
First, for all of you who asked (thank you), DS took 1st place in the Pinewood Derby in his little group of 2 but then he did take 5th place overall with all age groups. There were about 25 cars or so in all so that was pretty good. He was a little disappointed that he did not win a trophy. They only went to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. He did get a model car, though.
The mystery play went well. I didn't guess (nor did anyone) who really did it in the end.
We went to visit the puppy again this weekend. I just couldn't keep it a suprise. I thought how much more fun it would be to see the kids reaction to a bunch of puppies running around than just one. They are both excited. We should have the puppy by Sunday. Kind of nice since the kids are off for spring break all next week and will be able to spend every day with him. DD named him TIGS.
Work was nuts yesterday, so by the time I got home, I was ready for bed. Then had to be at school early today for Cookie Day. PTO bakes all morning and then we sell the cookies during the lunch periods.
Now I'm ready for a nap.
Have a T-shirt order to compile for FunFair tonight and PTO minutes to finish typing up. Always work to do.
My friend called today and wants to change our dates for our trip Now she wants to go in Nov or end of Oct. No value season and no chance for free dining. Looks like no Swan or Dolphin stay either. $$$$$$ Even with my discount it's nearly $200 a night. Now have to hope and pray for discount or pin code or email code. I hate it when the pressure is on!!!
Oh well, more DISing research this summer.:
Well better dash. Need to check kids homework and get to dinner.

Oh, Slo glad to hear Steph's meet and greet with the priest went well. I don't think I could tell someone all my business like that. It would be weird.
Mac, sorry I can't help your friend out with her parking question. We always park at the Selfpark near S.Wabash and Randolf area and it's expensive there just for the afternoon.

Debbie how is that ultimate 10 Disney show? Don't get Discovery HD here. It's sad, too. There are a couple of the Disney programs Mac has on that list that I would love to see.

I'm with everyone else regarding Spring!!! Although, I'm pretty sure today was colder than yesterday.

I am one of the crazed moms who also went ahead and bought tickets for the High School Musical on Ice in Jan. show. I hope there isn't a blizzard & I don't forget or something. DD was already offering to pay for some of it. I'm training her well.

She is doing basically jazz choir (it's not called that but they have that in High School & this is a something new they are trying at Middle School). It started this year...guess what one of the songs they are doing is?

We're all in this together!! Not that I don't hear her sing that enough but now she will just tell me she's practicing! The choir director is also going to see if they can get some Grease music. Should be interesting.

At least they aren't doing "It's a Small World" or my DD may have to run out of the place screaming. She can't stand that, so we are such a nice family & will start belting it out to annoy her.

It is pretty cool. I don't miss much now that I have TIVO! How did I live without it???? The bad thing is though a lot of times it can't find my basic cable signal and it ends up missing stuff. Anyone else run into this??? I had cable out and they said the signal strength was fine. WEIRD!

Congrats on the Derby and the puppy!! WoW! Puppies are the cutest.

Isn't it so terrible how the pet food is accidentally killing those dogs and cats! It is the saddest thing!

EVERY weekend goes by too fast! Yes, she's still playing indoor soccer. She scored TWO goals on Sat! They are 5-0-1. Won 5, lost none, tied once. She also was a 'flyer' tonight at her cheerleading show. My job(s) are ok, for now. Thanks for asking.

Our new furniture is being delivered Friday! It's 1-3 weeks EARLY, based upon their delivery/special order timeframe but, I don't care! I wanted it before Spring Break anyway!

DH has a surgeon appt., finally! Not until 4/4 but, at least the process is started.

Yesterday was filled with lots of chores and errands
One of them was my first physical therapy for my knees
The therapists taped my kneed to keep my knee caps in place, and boy does it feel weird. When I first stood up, I told the therapists that I felt like I had wobbly sealegs like Captain Jack Sparrow - she laughed
The tape stays on until Friday.


Today is a day of cleaning house - I"m so not in the mood.
When are the free maids when you need them
Oh...that's right...you have to pay for them. I think I will do it myself

Morning all.
Went to submit my post last night, and BAM!!! DISboards are down.
So let's see if I can remember what I'd written before.
Mac, sorry about the switch. I wasn't too happy myself. My friend called and said her SIL was pregnant and due in Sept. Hence the need for the switch. Friend didn't want to cause a family fued by being on vacation when her SIL had the baby.
So, looked into cost to switch to Oct or Nov. and even with my nurse discount S/D is still $200 a night. Regular season vs. Value season.
Deb, I checked out your Nov thread. Thanks. My guess is we'll be going the last weekend in Oct. Unfortunately for me, probably will be no discounts. F&W Fest. MNSSHP and all that stuff. But I'll be hopeful. We went this time in 2004 and I got AKL for $169 a night-Savannah view!!!
Thanks for the congrats for DS. It was exciting for him.
Well, better get on with my day. Lots of keyboarding on the puter to do today. Carpal tunnel attack tonight for sure.

Hi all-
Tried to get on the boards about 12noon and they were down. I didn't have time to get on this morning, as I had two IEP meetings to be at this AM at school.
Was going to post earlier, but I turned off the computer b/c it was starting to pour and lightning out. Just finished the downpour here. I hear alot of fire engines and sirens the past 5 min. I have a feeling something got struck by lightening nearby and started a fire? I hope not.
Well with all the rainstorms, it's Spring, right?

Yes, I have had about 6 blank emails from the webmaster, too! No messages on mine, either.

Wondering if the Disboards is overloading, thus the error of trying to get on the boards and the blank emails. Maybe too many people on the boards at once?? Is there supposed to be another upgrade soon? Just curious.....
