Sorry i'm just reading today...I was on the second floor. It was so crazy. I was never so scared in my life. I don't have to be down there again until Friday. I don't know how I will feel when I have to go back in.
Did they make you evacuate from the 2nd floor or stay put? I was glad we were just staying where we were.
If you'll be here this Friday, do you want to try to meet up for lunch? We could have something at Corner Bakery, or just at the food court downstairs.
I have to say that what I don't like about this whole thing is that the guy got in by holding a gun on a guard and making him take him up to the 38th floor. What kind of security is that?!? I want my guards armed and ready to take a bullet, like the Secret Service.

Really, I was feeling more secure sitting in here because I felt like it was probably a disgruntled employee who only had a key card that would allow him access to that one office. But if he had a guard that was taking him wherever he wanted, then that's not so secure.
Reps from the building were handing out a CYA letter as we came in this morning.
My condolences do go out to the victims' families. Killed over a toilet.

What a nutcase.
I have a feeling we're not going to get a Christmas party.
Jedi - I'm so sorry.

I hope everything works out for you. And I hope I can finally meet you on Sunday!
And now for my house stuff. I went to the design center on Saturday and stayed there for almost 4 hours!

I touched every carpet sample that they had! (I knew carpet would be the worst.) But I finally got everything picked out.
Here are the latest pictures of my house, from Friday, and then the stuff I picked out. The newer pictures start with #16 (IMG_1319).

There are captions.
And, finally, a few more pictures.
Here are a couple from Friday, all the ambulances and stuff outside.
On that last one it's hard to see, because it had gotten darker, but those red lights are all the flashing lights from the vehicles, not break lights. The streets had all been closed.
And a fun one. This is that Mickey that someone at work got (it was probably a promotional item) and gave to me a while back. Isn't it cool?!
