Disneynut71 :grouphug: I can only imagine how scary it was. Those poor families.

Jedi I remember how it felt when I was first separated. :grouphug: I hope things work out. If ever you need an ear or two or twenty we are here for you.

Mac How are you doing?

disneymama73 Oh how I wish I was going to WDW so soon.

Jedi -- :grouphug: I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this.

Anyone here interested in going to see High School Musical -- The Concert it's on Jan. 19 at Allstate Arena. I happen to have 8 extra tickets due to trying to coordinate getting 6 people together and the brokers got everything first!! :furious: However, I finally got us 6 tickets all together, so that's why I have so many extra. I thought if anyone here was interested it could be another mini meet except we wouldn't be all together. I have 3 together in one section, then the 5 are in different section but 2 are in one row & 3 are in another row. (Remind me to NOT do this again with a popular event! Too stressful! :rotfl: ).

Send me a PM if interested.

I hope everyone is having a good night!

I finally got Mary & Joseph to not be mad at each other anymore for those of you who remember. ;) We just took down our Christmas tree too so I need to get that up soon...by the time I get it up this year it will be time to take it back down.

Hi all!!!

Despite having bad sinus problems all day and feeling dizzy off and on because of it, we did go downtown today.
And we had a great time!! :cool1: We took the train in. Went to Macy's and got us on the list for the Walnut Room right away. Tried to wait in line for Santa, but the wait was sooooo long, HOURS long!!! :sad2:
While in line our pager went off for the Walnut Room, so we ended up leaving the line for Santa and went to go eat lunch.
Lunch was good and we got to sit by the HUGE 45 ft tree! Awesome sight!! :thumbsup2
We did some Christmas ornament shopping there too. Love their ornaments!!

Then we headed down the street to Daley Plaza where the German Christmas festival was going on.
That was a hoot!! They had an oompapa band there, lots of food, and lots of stuff to buy!!! We went to the little hand blown ornament shop and bought an official German pickle and a few other ornaments.

Then we had a stop by Garrett's popcorn!!!! :goodvibes

The whole day was lots of fun!! And the train was super packed!!

slo We never went to the mall last night. Tony got stuck at a side job late. I should have known not to wait for him!!! But I did get some present wrapping done last night!!! :thumbsup2

Jedi I'm so sorry to hear about you and Toby. :( We are all here for you if you need to talk.

disneymama I live on the west edge of New Lenox off Route 6. Right down the street from the new 355 extension and the new mall they are going to build and supposedly now near a new Great America!!!!!! :faint:

disneynut I'm glad that you were alright at your job on Friday! That must have been so scary for you and your family.

piglet too The new mall would be GREAT!! I am so tired of driving to Orland Park and dealing with the huge crowds. AND all the Orland traffic. The traffic is the worst IMO. :)
Not too thrilled with the idea of a Great America though. That would make it even worse on the already over crowded 2 lane roads in New Lenox. Especially since it would be right down the street!!!!!! :crazy2:

Hi to everyone else!!! :wave2:

That sounds like a great day, Bunchkin! I'm sorry you're having sinus probs though.

Wow, New Lenox! That's not far from me at all. Glad to have another mall coming in! Not so sure about the theme park though.

Also right down another road from me is going up a Super Walmart!!!
Looks like no more trips to the one out by you!! :(
Unless of course the kids want to go to R'Place. I have no clue why they love that place. I think it's all the puppets and stuff everywhere. :)

Why is it that for vacations with the whole family I would have already started packing things up and getting organized, but for our adult's only trip I have done NOTHING!!!!????? :confused3
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think it's because I don't feel so stressed about it!!!

But I think I should start thinking of doing something soon!! :thumbsup2

R Place is Emily's (DD7) favorite restaurant. We took my parents, and my mom said, "My granddaughter's favorite restaurant is a truck stop." :confused3

celebrities that call it both Fantastic and Boring. Wil Wheaton proclaims it
"Everything that Geeks Love". They show scenes from opening day. There is a
shot of Dreamfinder and Figment. Commentary on World Showcase concentrates
on the availability of alcohol. Lots of "It looks like a big golf ball"

hitting it. It was about what you would expect from VH1. Worth recording for

QUESTION OF THE DAY FOR EVERYONE!!

Do you like any of the Rankin/Bass movies? And do you own any of them?

For Example: Rudolph the red nose reindeer, Santa Claus is coming to town, Frosty the Snowman.....and on and on the list goes.

We love most of the Rankin/Bass movies. And we own a few.
We own: Rudolph, Santa Claus is coming to town, Frosty the Snowman, The Year without Santa Claus, Rudolph's Shiny New Year.

Others I don't like watching: The Little Drummer boy!!!!! Puts me to sleep!! :rotfl:

Hi Everyone,
Haven't posted in a little while. Thought I would give you guys a break from my ramblings!

Things are just busy but nothing to complain about. I am going to put my complaints in perspective considering everything some are you are going through that’s for sure!

I have been trying to read up on the posts. I feel like I know all of you a little. I hope everyone is doing well. Those of you, who are enjoying all your pre holiday activates, cool beans! I love Christmas and am especially enjoying this one through my 4-year-old DD. She loves everything. For those of you struggling through a tough time I hope you have peaceful, happy days ahead of you! I bet the holidays aren’t the best time to be going though yucky stuff. Lastly, I hope everyone who is sick recovers real fast!

Be back later....
Debbie

Good Monday morning everyone! How's tricks? At least the weather is a little more doable! I actually walked to work with a little comfort and joy this morning, not freezing and grumbling!!

Bunchkin and I are indeed BIRTHDAY BUDDIES! I've only actually known one other person with my same date before, although I'm sure there are a multitude of people. I asked her if she got hit up every year with the combo-gift? I know I did, mostly from my brothers! pirate:

We got the tree up this weekend, except it's so big that we can't get the tree topper on. We actually had to cut off an inch or two! I think I'll buy a bow to go near the top!!

Slo: Glad you had a good party and didn't take too much razzin! Did you try to see how many fireman actually fit in a VW Bug?

Debbie, I think your last post was one of the nicest I've ever read. Nothing but good wishes and gratitude! Gotta love a post like that. Besides, I like your ramblings!!

Well I gotta get back to work, but I'll be back later with the link to my photos.

See y'all!!

Sam

Thank you all for the hugs, pixie dust and well wishes. You are all just wonderful. :grouphug: :goodvibes
