Just booked a 2:50 ressie for Aug. 13th will we see Ratatouille? Does anyone know if he is there at lunch?

I just books Chefs de France for August, too, and I read somewhere (?) that Ratatouille is ONLY there during lunch so I made a 1:00 ADR.

I 'm not sure of his times . It's on here somewhere. He's there for lunch & then for dinner.

He's there from 12:30 to 6 PM. He makes four scheduled appearances and it takes him 20 minutes to a half hour to make a full circuit of the restaurant. If you are there for lunch you'll see him.

We did lunch there is May. I saw him come out, but the lady operating him missed our entire row of tables, which was a bit annoying!

Will he be there indefinately? We are going in November and I would love to see him!

He is going to Tokyo?? Not to be rude but why don't they just create another one?

Can you tell I am disappointed?

And our ADR is on 9/8 - 2 days too late!! That is a bummer. As popular as he's been, you'd think they would have another Remy for Tokyo.....

seriously though ... um, the other characters don't travel from one park to another, disappointing people who miss them.

1) REMY was at Disney-Paris before WDW.
2) Should he have not come to WDW?
3) If it is temporary, why build multiple REMY's?

Remy's a special character event like Lucky the Dinosaur - there's only one, and he travels from park to park.

Why is he temporary?? Ratatoille was a very popular movie. Children and adults both enjoyed it. I think what we are trying to say is that he shouldn't be temporary.

Who is Lucky the Dinosaur?? My kids don't even know who he is and they have a lot of Disney Movies thanks to their Grandmother.

Lucky the Dinosaur is not a movie character, but a sophisticated animatronic critter that toured the Disney parks around the world a couple of years ago. His "handler" was able to converse with him and he would do certain things when asked to. He's now housed in California and doesn't currently make appearances in the parks.

Remy is similar. There's only one, and this is his appointed time at Disney World. He started in Paris and will move to Tokyo next. I'd imagine he'll turn up at Disneyland sometime in the future.

Not that he SHOULDN'T be permanent at Chefs de France, but he was never planned to be or meant to be.

1) If he is permanent, they add extra costs to the operation of the eatery.
2) Then, the profit is reduced or prices must increase.
3) With DDP, the reimburement is fixed, thus profit is reduced.
4) Chefs is not owned by Disney, so they can do a lot what they wish.
