if i am a dis veteran does that mean i survived a war or something?

I think they'll send you some medals (actually they're lame Park pins they couldn't sell) in a ceremonial urn (actually a refillable mug). Don't you have the battle scars and the Marines tattoos to prove it?

:confused3 Does anyone know if Spring was cancelled this year?:confused3

This weather makes me miss the Mouse!:sad1:

Congrats on the shoe score, Susan! I must cease visiting shoebuy.com as a) I don't have any closet space left and b) I don't have any money, either. Look! Mickey Crocs. :rolleyes1

I bought em two weeks ago at Rogan Shoes. :cloud9:

And before anyone asks, that's Greta. She want's a pair (well, two, actually) also.

KAMommy threw out my old 'broken-in' pairs of shoes when we did spring cleaning a few weeks ago. She was mumbling something about 'nasty old, can't-be-seen-in-public-with-him-wearing-these' types of things.

So I have a new pair of sneakers and a new pair of work shoes that I'm getting used to. I don't like either of them as much as my old 'broken-in' pairs.:sad1:

GW - you're terrible!

AAP - love the shoes! Greta would look exceedingly stylish in them, IMO.

The rain here just won't STOP. I have to empty the buckets in the basement every 5 minutes. I have a timer. E-v-e-r-y 5 minutes.

There it goes again! Beep beep beep beep beep beep beep

Didn't you get the memo?

The federal government decided that it was easier to create an impermeable cloud cover than get us to reduce carbon emissions.

At any rate, it reduces our exposure to that cancer-causing yellow orb in the sky. :rolleyes1

My dad took me with him to see "Deliverance" when it first came out in the early '70s (I was 2 or 3) -

 And he was still alive the next day? Forgiving woman, your mother.

DH thought the same thing about POTC. I thought the special effects were really creepy. I'm not really into "What is this thing you call food?" Knightly, but I love some of the other actors - including that guy from the British "The Office". He is flippin' funny. :rotfl:

So, you're planning on being pregnant 15 months from now?! Either you have a very, very odd gestation rate for a human, or you're Catholic and using a really bad version of the rythym method... (I'm not slamming Catholics - I was raised as one myself)

hahah i thought you guys were going in July of this year!!!!

ahh well July of next year has us in Mexico :( then Disney in October, so no $$ for cruising!

We are cruising in September of 09 though! yaay!

Good afternoon!

Chris, I have those exact Mickey Crocs. I haven't worn them in public though, I just don't have the courage. I do wear my Mary Jane Crocs everywhere though. I think they are cute.

It is so windy here today, but definitely feeling spring-ish. My parents and I drove up to Morro Bay to look around. It's been a while since we did anything just the 3 of us and it was so nice to not have pressure to get home for anything. Except laundry. :guilty: I bought some new succulents and then we had lunch at Foster's Freeze. It's the only one left in my area and it has been there for 60 years. It was just like when I was a child, and we would do the same thing. It was really nice. I even splurged on a Reese's Twister. Yum!

I hope the rain stops for you soon Fab (and everyone else who is soggy!). That bucket emptying thing has got to be a drag. May I suggest a bigger bucket? Or a bathtub?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I only wear my Athens crocs everywhere! They are the only ones i can bring myself to buy! they look totally normal :) :)

Any movie that features a woman in a corset is a fine movie in my book! The turn-off for me with Keira K. is the way she holds her mouth - it gives me the impression there's always something foul-smelling under her nose.

Why the sad face after mentioning Mexico? We have wanted to go, but I think we'll wait until the kids are older. I've always wanted to explore the Yucatan peninsula. We looked at doing a cruise about a year ago, but decided to do Disney instead (plus the arch. firm was going through a slow time and we didn't have any extra major fundage). That's a little-known curse of DVC points - every other kind of vacation appears much more expensive in comparison.

It's been such crappy, dreary weather here all weekend that we're completely caught up with the laundry now. I'd say it's dropped 15-20 degrees through the course of the day today. Yesterday was in the low 60s - today it feels like it's in the 40s. We have the heat on in the house - rare for us in April.

 There was a MEMO? I must have been playing outside two weeks ago in the 80 degree weather and missed it.:rolleyes1
And what's this yellow orb you speak of? I haven't seen it since the 80 degree weather either.:sad2:
