Checking luggage at the port, too!

We are flying Delta and want to know if we can check our luggage in if our flight doesn't leave till the next morning. We get into port on May 23rd and our plane leaves 7am on May 24th. Does anyone have a phone # to ask Delta this question. The reservation line couldn't help. Thanks for all of your help!

I would not hold out too much hope for getting an answer from Delta....a lot of the airlines do not even know they have a desk at the DCL terminal. Just ask them what their normal bag check in policy is if you were checking in at the airport. If they say they do not let you check in bags for a next day flight....that would hold true for the desk at the DCL terminal as well.

I would bet money that they would not let you check in your bags for a next day flight. Too much of a security risk.

Which airlines have counters at the DCL port?

Flight has to be the same day.
Airline check-ins include Northwest, U.S.Air, Continental, American, and Delta

Silly question. Can you check your bag at the port even if you are not using DCL transport? We were thinking of taking a towncar or limo back to the airport. It would be so much easier if we did not have to haul our luggage through the airport.

The last I heard is that you could, but you would have to pay extra for this service. Believe it was 6 bags for $25, or something close to that. I would still check with a Disney Rep.

We checked our luggage in at the port with Delta and we did not use DCL transportation. We had an evening flight and rented a car for the day. There was no additional charge for checking in our luggage.

You don't necessarily need to take their transportation back over to use this service. If you pay for the transfer back, they will still take your bags. I know in the past it didn't matter, but they say they are going to start enforcing this policy. Hope this helps
