Since yesterday they changed my flight - and it seems like there was some major rearranging going on all over the place.

My 8 pm nonstop flight swtiched to 8 am - now we will need to pick a new flight.

I am not thrilled with the change - but I knew it was a risk- they still have awesome customer service. I am wondering if they might switch it again and I should wait to make the changes.

Thanks for the heads up. Yep I checked our flights and they also have been changed. It's not a big enough change for us, but I'm alittle upset that I haven't received a email like I did before.

I just checked mine but no change. I was almost hoping for one so I could grab one of the earlier flights.

That's what I did this morning when I checked my reservation for October and found the flight moved from 1:40 to 3 pm. That gets us there too late so I switched us to the 7:35 am flight. That's what I wanted in the first place but DH picked the mid-day flight so he wouldn't have to get up so early.

So did you switch him to the earlier flight too, or did you leave him on the 3 PM flight to teach him a lesson? :rotfl:

OP and second poster: ANY airline making schedule changes will notify passengers in the order affected. If they change the July, August, and September schedule, naturally they need to notify the July passengers first.

If you already know about the change, and you already researched alternatives and have found flights that work better for you, call AirTran with the alternate information in hand, tell them your flight was changed, and politely explain the new schedule doesn't work for you and ask to be moved to the X:XX AM/PM flight, number YYY.

AirTran is generally extremely cooperative; it helps a LOT to know in advance exactly what you want them to do for you.

I am not thrilled with any of the new flight options so I am going to hold out for a while. I would hate to accept the a new flight that was less desireable and have them make a new change that would be more desireable but I am stuck on another flight that didn't change. I didn't get an email yet - I knew it was really early for them to send an email - I check my flights all the time with them to make sure there aren't changes and I can be proactive.

Nah, I'd have missed him at dinner. ;)

My October flights switched too. MKE has become a rather large northern hub for Airtran, so it wasn't a major bump. We were moved from 1:40 to 3:00. I almost expect a time change when I book so far in advance. They seem to change their flight schedules every quarter or so.

I just wish they would move my departure flight EARLIER just once. We were to get to MCO at 5:30, plenty of time to check in and head to DTD. Now we don't land until 6:40. Going to be a late dinner I guess.

Those are the flight changes I had. I didn't want to miss my scheduled dinner at Yachtsmen Steakhouse that night I switched to the 7:35 am nonstop out of MKE. No problem doing that at all with Airtran.

My wife already thinks are trips are too long. Getting up at 4am for the early flight wouldn't go over well. Maybe I could switch just 1 ticket:tiptoe:

Thanks for the reminder. I booked in March & so far nothings changed but it's always good to verify. :thumbsup2
