Check-in with new "room ready"

DH and I are flying in Friday. We should be to VWL around noon. It is just the two of us (no kids this time!) and basically view is not a big concern. We are just there for a few days. First trip without the children!

The way the new check-in system is, do we have a better chance of there being a room ready when we check-in, or does it still seem that the rooms are not ready until later afternoon?

Also when I check-in can I ask if there are any studio rooms available. When I reserved I did make a pool view request, but would give that up in order to get a room earlier in the day.

My sister and I were at OKW in August in a studio. We checked in about 1:15 and I was surprised our room was ready. All of my requests had been met although we were not as close to the Hospitality House as I would have liked, we were within a 7 minute walk and we ended up enjoying the stroll. I don't know what your experience will be but we were able to get into our room several hours earlier than expected and got a studio that met all of our needs.

My family stayed in a BCV studio in September. We were pleased to find they had four rooms ready when we checked in at 9:00 A.M. The cast member offered us our choice of floors etc. I told them we would be happy to take any of them allowing our DD's 3 1/2 & 17 mths to have a place to nap that afternoon. The room was everything we had hoped for even though we made no particular requests besides non-smoking. I hope you all are just as lucky as we were.

In June, we shceked into 1 bdroom at BCV at 11:45. We had no specific requests on the reservation so CM asked us what we were interested in and we said no preference except Non-smoking..so off we went.great room 122 on a quiet wing behind the elevators with just 3 villas . Quiet and close to quiet pool, BC lobby and valet parking.
