I think someone say August is slow, so you should be good!

I went last year in August actually, right around the same time I'm asking for now, and it wasn't bad really, and definitely isn't the peak season I don't think, so here's hoping

I emailed in my questionnaire last night, so hopefully I get a response back soon. I really need to have my August dates. The hotel isn't a big deal, but my dates in early August need to work lol. I would think though that the dates aren't too big of an issue for them to do though, I don't see why they couldn't really get people the dates they want. Hotels I can understand a little more.

You won't have a problem at all getting your dates. You might just not get the hotel you want, but I'm sure that won't be a problem either. WDW has so many more hotel rooms than DL and August isn't nearly as busy as June and July. Lots of kids have to go back to school the beginning of August in the south so that will help.

It's such a chore now to read the new pages of posts from when I go to bed at night and come back to the site the next day after work. It's almost 10 news pages a day now!!

Ouch! That is pricey still. Ours say we pay when we check in. Since it is
the second part of our trip we will already have our GC.
For the price we got kinda wished I had asked for a moderate now. But the Pop should be fun.

Yeah, it was still pretty expensive. We're just going to stay at one of the Good Neighbor hotels for one night instead. I feel like $300 is such a waste of money since all we'll be doing is sleeping there.

I'm sure you can switch to a moderate still if you wanted.

Yeah, it was still pretty expensive. We're just going to stay at one of the Good Neighbor hotels for one night instead. I feel like $300 is such a waste of money since all we'll be doing is sleeping there.

I'm sure you can switch to a moderate still if you wanted.

For a free trip the deluxe resort if fantastic, but having to pay $300 to stay there really lessens the experience. For that extra day or two I wouldn't think it's worth it at all either.

We replied to let them know that all looked good so now we just wait to hear back from them. At this point, I guess I'm in no rush since our travel dates are still 9 months away.

We almost caved and told the kids last night. We just have to keep telling ourselves that if we tell them, we can't un-tell them and not only will the opportunity to surprise them with a trip to Disneyland be gone, but then I'll have to listen to them for the next 9 months! "Mom, how much longer? Mom, is it really close now? Mom, how many more days? Mom, can we count how many more sleeps that is? Mom, can we see the hotel again? Mom, should we start packing some stuff now?" And on and on and on and on.... And that's just a sample of what the first 15 minutes after we told them would be like!

So until then, I'll have to figure out ways to occupy my time and get this trip out of my head. It seems like I've done nothing but plan and think about it since we got the email telling us that we won!

Oy. I need a hobby!

Don't tell them! I told our boys (4 and 7) and they're driving me crazy. We're having to watch the Disney vacation planning video every day or two. Even going to WDW last weekend didn't distract them. I'm going to have to stop talking about the trip because we still have almost 5 months to go!

For those who picked DL, how do you get to and from the airport to DL and who pays for the transport to DL? I know that DL doesn't have the Magical Express buses so I was wondering about that.

Apparently there ARE busses/shuttles that run from the area hotels/DLH to the airport but they aren't normally free. They will be free to us though
