Sooooooo very happy! They emailed the wrong month, they put May. . . heart pounding I couldn't email back fast enough!
They were great though responded in seconds with the correct month.

the walks not bad at all .. you'll go through Downtown Disney.. 5-10 min is all.

Great, thanks. That's about how far the walk is for us at WDW from the car to the park entrance, so that's nothing!

Awesome that we can use the CA entrance too! I guess no pool hopping though. That's okay. The pools look awesome at DLH and I doubt we'll have that much time for swimming anyway.

I checked the Disney website for you, here is what it said:

The restaurants at all 3 Hotels of the Disneyland Resort are open to everyone.

However, all other services at the Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are exclusive to the hotel a Guest is staying at with the following exceptions:

• If there is a closure or other situation whereby a Guest or Guests have been granted access to services at hotels not specific to where they are staying, they will be duly notified of the temporary policy change.
• Guests of the Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel may use the massage services and Pinocchio's Workshop (children activities center) at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa for an additional fee. Advanced reservations are required.
• Guests of all 3 Hotels of the Disneyland Resort can enter and re-enter the Resort using the exclusive entrance into and exit from Disney California Adventure Park with valid theme park admission.

Yes, there are mini-fridges in the DLH rooms. I know you can use the GC entrance into CA, but I've been told you can not pool hop. I think DLH guests were allowed to pool hop while the pool was shut down for construction, but I don't know if that is the case any longer. I would call DLH guest services for the scoop straight from the mouse's mouth.

As for the distance from DLH to the park entrance, that really depends on which tower you are staying in. There is a thread about distances on the Disneyland board, I'll try to find it and post it for your review.

Thanks. I did find a thread on the distances and they're not bad at all. I just read somewhere today that someone was complaining that the walk from DLH was far so I was a bit concerned.

Nice! Looks like that's 40% off the preferred room price for that time of year. The rest of you who are waiting on room rates for extra days, I imagine they would be similarly discounted, if that helps any with your planning.

Your welcome! Nope, and I am getting a little sad about it. I know it will come eventually but I figured with our travel dates being so early in travel window that we would have gotten something official already. He said it could be 30days! Guess I am just feeling left out. I am heading out for a girls night out with friends. Sushi and a movie, maybe it will get my mind off of things.

Well, tornado watch here so that kept me away for a bit, while I picked the kids up from school. All clear now though so I can get back to posting.

Our itinerary was perfect and when I read it to DH he decided he wanted to change all of our flights and dates so I had to send it back. I'm so annoyed with him. I haven't heard anything back from them so I'm guessing it probably won't be until Monday now.

Supposedly they are only drawing names once per week for the previous 7 days and I too have entered everyday. Husband too..maybe our day is yet to come!

They gave us a great quote for the DLH as well (35% off), but it's still too expensive for us...over $300/night in the middle of summer. If we could pay with the GC then we'd do it, but they told me I'd have to pay with my credit card when I booked the reservation. Too bad.

I emailed in my questionnaire last night, so hopefully I get a response back soon. I really need to have my August dates. The hotel isn't a big deal, but my dates in early August need to work lol. I would think though that the dates aren't too big of an issue for them to do though, I don't see why they couldn't really get people the dates they want. Hotels I can understand a little more.

Ouch! That is pricey still. Ours say we pay when we check in. Since it is
the second part of our trip we will already have our GC.
For the price we got kinda wished I had asked for a moderate now. But the Pop should be fun.

I think someone say August is slow, so you should be good!
