Cheaper alternative to Garden Grocer?

I want to order food to be delivered to us since we are staying in the All Star Music Suites. I went online to look at Garden Grocer, but it's pricey for some items. I was just wondering if there is another delivery alternative that may have better prices. We are not renting a car, so Walmart or something similar is not an option. Thanks!

You can check wegoshop.com. Depending on how much/what you're ordering, this might be a better option.

We've only used GG for food items but have viewed it as a convenience so we don't mind paying the higher prices. I have seen others mention wegoshop before but don't know how their prices compare.

You are not going to find anything much cheaper than Garden Grocer or We Go Shop for delivered groceries. They are there for convenience and you will pay for that. You could always get a cab and shop at the local Walmart or Publix to save a few bucks. I guess you have to weight things out... delivered, exactly what you want, but a little pricey or out of your way, time away from enjoying your vaca and a little cheaper. I can say that I have used both Garden Grocer and We Go Shop and I like Garden Grocer better.

I look at it that it's a convenience, too. We always get bottled water from them, and it's STILL a ton cheaper than buying bottled water in Disney!!!

Thanks for the input. We will probably go with GG. My oldest ds has a ton of food allergies, and GG has all of the stuff we need. There are some thing (like a jar of sunbutter) that costs double at GG, so those types of things I can pack in my suitcase. We will definitely hit the $40 minimum, so I figure we can pack a few small items.

People who have room in their checked luggage could bring non-perishable foods and either pick up milk in the resort or at the Hess mini-mart. Paying resort pricing for a few perishable items might be cheaper then paying the delivery charges.

Our kids also have a laundry list of food allergies. This is exactly what we do. We pack non-perishable, non-liquid foods and disposable bowls and spoon in our suitcases and then place an order with Garden Grocer for the milks, bottled waters, fresh fruits, fruit cups and some snack foods. We fly SWA so we can pack plenty of bags. This also leaves empty spaces for the trip home since personal items seem to multiply like rabbits at WDW.

The reason we use GG instead of wegoshop is that I don't know what brands are found at which stores in Orlando and I don't want to take a chance of a particular brand not being found. When dealing with allergies, brand is very important. With GG I know what brands they have and can pick and choose from a premade list. I could probably save some money using WGS but I like the knowledge that GG has my brands of choice.

One note: You can pretty much be guaranteed that your bag will be inspected by TSA if you've got a nut butter (I include sunbutter with nut butters) in your suitcase. I guess in xrays things like this look sketchy. Every single bag we've ever packed with a nut butter or powdered drink (I always bring a can of chocolate Dari Free to use as hot chocolate) has received one of those "inspected by TSA" papers. It's no big deal to me but don't be surprised when you see the paper. Definitely make sure to use TSA locks if you use locks. We just use twist ties because I don't pack valuables in my bags but I don't want my zippers popping open by accident.

We have never used Garden Grocer, but we have used We Go Shop :), pb and jelly, bowls and spoons with us. They will shop where you want them to shop, and you can specify the brand and if you will take substitue brand or not.

Saved a ton on water alone.

Thanks for letting me know this! I just cannot pay $8 for a jar of sunbutter. I'm going to look on GC to see if they have the 6 pack of individual sunbutters. I've seen them at Whole Foods before, and we won't use an entire jar of sunbutter in the 5 days we are there. And you are right, brands are super important. My son drinks Rice Dream and eats O'Soy yogurt-we NEED to have those brands. I just need to suck it up!
