Thats a real bummer Shawna. But I guess its better now, then in December when he graduates. I mean, if she deals this badly with something this small, how is she going to deal with what you brother does?

Exactly. this is the issue that is bothering him right now. How can she handle his lifestyle if she cannot decorate a room? He is so worried right now. Honestly I've never seen her as a strong enough person to deal with what she would need to deal with but I never doubted she could handle this. I have no clue what is going on.

I think its also because she just turned 22 and looks like she is 15 that people feel they need to help her out.

OHHH and also they screwd her on the contract because she was teaching at one school and told her 2 days into it that she needed to move this weekend. She had her kids until Fri at noon and gets her new kids on Monday in the new school. She did not have help setting up her initial room except for my brother and I.

E's brother is moving from Wisconsin to Michigan to apply for a chance at a spot in radiology tech college.

His GF doesn't want to move.

I'm thinking.. this kid has never been very far away from the financial support of dear old mom (or having a GF to help support him) .. he's not going to last.

He also hasn't been working.

He is living off of MANY student loans.
Took another loan with his car as collateral .. that he isn't paying.

And lives off of food stamps and low income housing where he pays less than a $100 /month in rent.

Gee must be nice to be almost 30 and have "student" be your occupation.




We told him he was stupid, he just laughed.

yep, his mom babied him and the sister.

We have been trying to encourage MIL to move to MN.. thinking the time will come when she will need better medical care.. and MN is very friendly to people who are underinsured.

She said she couldn't .. because her daughter still "needs her"

umm, yeah.. but she sucked money out of you to the point that you are about to foreclose on your house.


Bsides she's 23, by that age we had two kids.. and uhhh no one helped us out.

Cut the apron string, cut the purse string! Something!

She sighed and said no, I can't do that.
It's all very sad, it makes hard on her and now her two younger children can't be responsible and care for themselves.

Just turned 29 this summer.

I know, how long is it going to take him to dig himself out of debt???

There isn't even a guarentee that he will be accepted into the radiology program in Michigan.
You have to earn your way in through a point program .. good grades, volunteer service, references, essay.

He will be there for a year before they can say if he is IN or not.

A year of no family or friends to support him, 6 hour drive to see his GF.


MIL is really worried and asked E if he would talk to him-- convince him to come to MN.

He tried that last year when he first talked about moving.

I just got off the phone with my mom... She said not to buy anything until after Christmas... She suspects that it might be a fruitful Christmas for us. I sure hope that means she is buying us a minivan.
