:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Now imagine that spot on the front of a solid green color t-shirt, but about twice as large. I'm SO glad I'm done having babies. For now I'll just enjoy being a Great Aunt.:thumbsup2

I spent last night and today washing a special blanket over and over and over and over and over and over and over again!

My nephews was using gentian violet on his baby because he had thrush and he accidentally spilled it on DS's bed. The blanket he had on the bed was a quilt that was started by my great grandmother and then my grandmother had it quilted for me and gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago.

So I had a HUGE purple stain on the blanket. I have used Clorox 2, Zout, Oxiclean, soaked in hot Tide water, rubbing alcohol. It is now about 75% gone and will eventually (hopefully) wash out.

Oh gosh. Hopefully it will come out with a few more washes.

I had to look at that twice because I thought it was just a cute picture. Then I almost peed myself. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

get a load of the look on that kids face....what are you looking at...how about a little privacy:lmao:

that stinks...I have a quile my great grandmother made, and one my grandmother made...

Yeah, it's a good thing I'm back on Prozac, otherwise I might have done something other than laugh about it. Pre-cancer I would have been freaking, but now I just sort of shrug it off. It's just a blanket and yes it is important to me, but life is full of memories and now this blanket just has one more memory...the time my great nephew visited and his dad not only turned my white blanket purple, but also spilled it all over the baby and he was purple too!:rotfl2: So instead of being upset everytime I see that stain, I'll always remember it and smile.:) :) :)

Doing pretty good today. I put up this organizational area of my house. Dh and I decided to take down our wedding picture that was in the hallway to their bedrooms. the kids thought it meant we were getting a divorce. :lmao: We were like Ummmm nope, we know we are married but we need a place for backpacks. We have new priorities!

So I found this cool Dry Erase Weekly planner at Kohls that was framed and had magnets with it too. Then I got a shelf to go just under that and some hooks under that to hang purses and backpacks, gym bags etc.

The weekly planner will be nice. Its pretty large and no one looks at the calendar in the kitchen. So this way it gets wiped clean each Sunday and the next weeks schedule and important stuff is up there in huge letters for everyone to see. I call it the short term memory board since it doesnt go out more than 7 days ahead of time.

Awesome! That's so funny the kids think you were getting divorced. I can remember DD being little and many of her friend's parents were divorced. Everytime we had even a disagreement about politics or something, she thought we were getting divorced.

I'm always forgetting where I put my cart and trying to put stuff in other people's carts. Or I will have DD with me pushing the cart, I think I'm talking to her and I turn around and it's some stranger. I swear I do that almost every time I go grocery shopping!:lmao:

well guys, its been short and sweet....I can't keep my eyes open...night

Happy Dreams Gina!

I think I'm going to go soak in the bath, it's been a busy week and I think I just need to get a bubble bath and relax this evening. I might be back in a bit, but then again I might be so relaxed that I might not.

That's a good way to look at life. :goodvibes

I have a quilt my sister made for me for my wedding. She used scraps from all the quilts she had made for herself and other people..

Then she took it to my bridal shower> Where my mom and aunties chatted about thier weddings and babaies.. all while tying the quilt with yarn.

At the end they all signed their names on the back.

The quilt is falling apart, but I have it wrapped up and tucked away.

One of the signatures was from my fave aunt. She was a funny sweet lady --My mom and she were friends before they got married.. locked at the hip kind of friendship, just like sisters...

They got set up on a double date with two brothers. They told me they had laughed and said "what if we married them.. then we would be "real" sisters "

Well they did marry those brothers. :goodvibes

Two women with the same name.

When I last saw my aunt .. I gave her a long hug.

I knew, and I think she did too, that it would be the last time.

She had liver failure contracted from hepatitis, she got it long ago and didn't know.. nurses recapped needles and stuck them in their pocket all the time back in the 70's.

When her obit was in the paper, some people called MY mom.. confused --thinking it was she who had died.

Anyway, the names and the love .. that makes the quilt even more special.. even with it's raggedy hem.

:goodvibes

Alright guys I started my Pre TR tonight. I'm off to bed now but I fully expect my ladies to read. PLEASE PLEASE. Does begging help.

since dh wont talk to me then I'll talk to the darned computer and other dissers who like to talk about trips and planning. I'm getting totally psyched.

Good Morning Hyenas!!! DH & DD went to the races this morning. We had a big thunderstorm last night and may have more today. It sounded so neat and so close by. We don't get thunderstorms often, so they are kind of a special treat for us. We've had more than normal this year...all summer we seem to have had a battle between the cold air coming down from Alaska and the warm California air.

It's been around 100 degrees here the last 3 days, but today is supposed to cool down to 90 and then we are in the 70's for the rest of the week.

Well I'm off to grab a cup of coffee and read Shawna's pre TR. :surfweb:

Okay cool cats. Here we go again. Im pregnant. 8 weeks. I had an ultrasound this morning.... No one will believe this. There are 2 babies. I think I am going to go stick my head in the oven.
OMG STALEY :goodvibes :faint: CONGRATS!!!
Ok I've been on the fence about this for a long time. On one hand I feel like I'm a really bad mom for doing this and on the other I feel I am teacher Morgan proper hygiene just a tad earlier than I expected.

See she has this line on her nose that has always been a little pink. Its right on the crease. Last spring some boys teased her about the "line" on her nose. Its hardly noticeable but I guess sometimes it sticks out. Well turns out this summer blackheads started forming on it and a couple little whitehead pimples. :scared1:

Keep in mind she'll be 8 next weekend!!! :scared1:

So, we tried using just her body wash to make sure we were washing her face better. Then we started using Dove Soap. I remember my dermatologist telling me plain white dove soap was really good for skin (this was as a teenager).

Its not helping. Obviously, now the line is caused by excess oil there and dirt is getting into her pores. When the blackheads came they were HUGE. I've never had them that large!:scared1:

Anyway, today I bought her some Neutrogena Extra Gentle facial Cleanser and some Neutrogena Clear Pore oil Eliminating Astrigent to use with a Q-tip just on her nose. Then I picked up these prepackaged foaming pads from Neutrogena that say they are Blackhead eliminating. I thought we could "try" them out on the nose area in the shower once a week since they have exfoiliating beads in them. I dont t hink its harsh though.

Am I really bad? I dont try to make her paranoid about this but she did get teased and she asks why she has what teenagers have.

My fear is that sometimes these products when you start using them make y our breakouts worse before they are better Or they might be altogether too harsh for her young skin.

Be honest. I can take them back or use them myself. I just dont have a clue what to do here.
Sounds like you are doing a good job. I highly doubt you will teach her to be paranoid, rather teach her that you will help her and don't want her to be self conscious. I really wish my mom had taken a proactive approach to embarrassing issues.
I KNOW. I have pasty white skin, and super dark hair. Its a wonder I have only worn pants since then.
I can relate to you there!!! It took me years to finally try capri pants (years of 120 degree heat mind you)
Am I a bad mom if I buy Graco car seats instead of Britax? The price difference is about $110 per seat...

Should we trade our car in for a minivan? I mean YES. We are going to need one, no matter what. But do we trade in our Matrix, which we LOVE... and buy dh a beater to drive back and forth to work in. OR... Do we buy a gently used minivan and keep the matrix? I am totally going to need a safe ride for toting around all those beasties in, but i REALLY LOVE the matrix. Its a freaking 07!! Its practically brand new! I wonder if we can get a third row bolted in the back of that puppy. ;)
You're kidding right??? My kids never saw expensive car seats and they survived. Amazingly too they never complained once about it :lmao:
I need Gina. Lately I have been wanting to barf too. Then a  went off in my head and I remembered one of the major side effects of Topomax was nauseusness. I think she had it. As soon as I put a piece of food in my mouth I get queasy. This could be very good for weight loss but bad for maintaining any sort of eating habits at all.

Strange that it does it though because I've read Topomax is used in treating Bulimia. :confused3

Oh and Morgan made JR Company as expected. She is with the 4th graders!
CONGRATS MORGAN!!!
:lmao: :lmao: Heck YEAH!

Okay... Now I am very worried about this pregnancy ending up like my last, so I am trying not to get excited yet, you know? But I was on this twins forum and saw a picture of a preggo mama.... OH MY. Her baby belly was MASSIVE. I cant wait.

:goodvibes

Last night we watched Tropic Thunder in DTD. That movie was freakin awesome!! You guys should watch it. It was hilarious :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

OMG - Alecia just found a centipede in the house :faint: :scared1:

I am so glad that DN was home to do the deed. Stupid me though told him (as he was plotting the little guys demise) that they were poisonous. I almost lost my bug killer :scared1: :lmao:
