Other than that I nearly expired after a 2 minute run on the wii Fit today, not much. :confused3

:lmao: It will get easier! Remember when I first tried the elliptical? I almost died after about a minute and a half.. But now I can do 40 minutes no problem. :thumbsup2

Forty minutes? That is seriously impressive! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I can't imagine that for myself at the moment, of course. In fact, I was horrified by how quickly I began floundering on that damn run! Two minutes, and it seemed to last FOREVER! :rotfl2:

:lmao: It only took a few weeks..

Wow! That doesn't sound like fun. Thank goodness for pain killers.

I hope your Doc can get you all fixed up. Sometimes it is such a guessing game on what works. Becky has done so many trials and errors. She is doing so much better now, but for awhile, I sure was worried. She had the opposite problem of you. She got so thin, and still is at he moment.:sad2: That darn girl is so into running and exercise, and eats way too healthy. :rotfl: I mean really, there are some things she can fudge on. When we were camping she had "light and healthy" orange juice. So I got on her case about that. Good grief. Just drink the real thing for crying out loud! She needs to gain weight so a little more sugar is not going to hurt. Geesh I digress here. Sorry!

So when you had a CAT Scan before, did they find something? Is that what Jeff meant?

I used to be addicted to going to the gym. About 3 hours a day. :scared1: My dr said I was hurting my body working out that much. I kept saying "but what about pro atheletes" He would point out that the majority of them had several surgeries by the time they were 40. Good point. anyway, we stopped the gym but dh got it back again recently for me. Maybe I can go since the kids will be in school. :thumbsup2 But not 3 hours a day!

Yesterday I walked 6 miles. I just kept walking and listening to my ipod. When I got home I got in the car and clocked it at 6.2 miles! I was shocked because I wasnt even winded but my legs and butt hurt pretty bad today. I think I'll do that more often.

Yes I've had 3 CAT scans about my headaches. My grandma died of a brain tumor when she was 40 so my dad was very paranoid and told my family DR to check frequently since she used to get migraines.

My brother Dan is epilleptic. Epilepsy and migraines are related and often they use the same meds to treat both of them. This junk runs in our family.

Anyway, its been about 7 years since my last CAT scan so I'm probably due. PLus I'm sure he'll get a chest XRAY since I had some spots on my lungs last year. I think that was 2 years ago. I was diagonsed with Valley Fever and was in the hospital with chest pains. Turned out it was just the Valley Fever. Not that big of a deal the DR said about 80% of the valley have Valley Fever. Shortly after I lost weight and got down to a size 6. That is VERY skinny for me as I consider myself skinny and looking GREAT at a size 10 or possibly an 8. So anyway, after that I slowly put the weight back on to a healthy size 10 but then I had the miscarriage and from then on out its just gone up and up. :confused3 I'm in a funk.

ACK there is my medical history. GEESH.

Hey, Shawna. :)

I was always average size for my age growing up, but my mom was heavyset. I was carrying about 25 extra pounds after my first run through college, and went to WW and lost it. In fact, I lost a bit too much and had to work to gain about 5 lbs back. Once I gained the 5 I gradually kept creeping up and up.

I was about 140 lbs. when I met DH, and then went into a funk and gained a bunch of weight while job-searching after college. It was so depressing to send out resumes and not get a bite, then finally get an interview and either it wasn't right for me, or I wasn't right for them.

And another 10 lbs after kids, of course... {sigh}

Thinking on in I believe I went to the gym so much when the kids were younger because it was "ME" time. I could put them in the childcare and I went to class after class and tried to make friends there. :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: I hear that!!

:lmao: :lmao: I hear that!!
Absolutely! :rotfl:

I intended to do that, but I wanted to go right after dropping off DS7 at kindergarten. But what I found was that EVERY OTHER MOM ON THE PLANET had the same idea, so I couldn't even find a place to park at the Y! :rotfl:

That was enough of an excuse for me to bail on the whole exercise thing. I know, really pathetic.

When DS7 was doing sports at the Y in the evenings, I'd go along and drop DS4 off in the nursery, then go walk/run on the indoor track. I'd go 30 laps, and was just to the point where I'd run slightly more than half of them when the Y had scheduling issues with all the kids/teams, so they began having teams practice/play at local elementary schools. Therefore NO DAYCARE. Since DS4 was so unruly at the time (... hmmm, still is...) it just wasn't realistic for me to do that anymore. Though why it never occurred to me to go to the Y with DS4 anyway, I don't know... :headache: :lmao:

When Jake turned about 3 he stopped wanting to go to the gym and became shy. Before that he didnt care. I'll be able to go now more often but unfortunately our gym we belong to is far away so that means gas getting there! I could ride my bike but its like 15 miles away! :scared1: I'm not lance armstrong!

They are building one a mile from my house but it wont be done until next summer. THEN I can ride my bike but no way am I riding 30 miles to go work out. I wouldnt be able to walk if I rode that long. Who would need a gym then. :lmao:

Not to mention the whole "what if I fall off and can't get up and fry in the sun" thing... :rotfl2:

I'm watching the Teen Choice awards ( don't blame me, it's DS7's doing) and the Disney stars are making out like bandits!

we watched that too!

I'm reading the thread on topomax. I took that drug but not consistently. I'm asking my DR for a refill of a higher dose tomorrow. The side effects usually scare people away but it did help my headaches. It also helps people lose weight. I will drink a huge diet pepsi before I start my prescription because you cant stand any carbonated drinks after taking the pill for even one day. They taste NASTY.

I just went to check on Morgan to see if she was asleep and she was faking it because when I turned off her jazz music she rolled over. I said "oh I thought you were asleep" she replied "I was faking it because I didnt want you to nag me" :scared1:

Where do these teenage things come from???????:lmao:

My son is the opposite. "Honey, why haven't you brushed your teeth for the past 3 days?"
"You didn't tell me to." :confused3
AAAGGGHH!
