her thermos is getting ready to see its 4th school year..we put everything in it...leftover chili, noodles, ramen, you name it...once she had dental work and needed soft so I put mashed pot. in it...she never complained...only when I put the lid on to tight...or loose...

EVERYONE will also gag...but this kid likes liver
:lmao:

I'd never had organ meat before, and when I went to Australia when I was 16, I stayed about 2.5 weeks with three different families. When I switched from the first family to the 2nd family, the mom of the 2nd family was asking what kinds of foods I like or didn't, so she could make sure I'd have food to eat.

I'd lost a bunch of weight at the first house because the mom had some horrible tasting meat the first night, then again the next, then cubed up and put in some sort of rice dish the 3rd night, and so on. So I said I liked most types of meat, like chicken, beef, pork... The mom asked about organ meats: "How about liver, kidneys...?"

I said I'd never had them, and the first mom pipes up, "Oh yes you have! You've had them at my house." I about tossed cookies when I realized that horrible tasting meat was kidneys. :scared:

Yep, I'm gonna have to find one of those this year! :thumbsup2

when she was little from birth until around 3 her body would not absorb much iron.(they thought she had growth retardation as well)..so the doc had me feed her this kind of stuff:scared1: so since she was so little she thought nothing of it...

Gotta disappear for a bit and get these kids fed some lunch. (GEESH, it's 2 PM!) Then get DS4 down for nap... late again. :headache:

Time flies when you're having fun, huh? ;)

Catch ya later!

I know someone who eats cow tounge....can you imagine....I would have this thing of it licking my insides:lmao: it makes me want to hurl

Yeah, we use Smart Balance butter. I don't think I've seen the COuntry Crock one... Or maybe I have? I grab whichever one has the lowest fat content of all the heart-healthy brands.

I"ll have to look for the mayo! Not that I let him have any very often, but sometimes he insists, and I give in. With that, I wouldn't feel so bad... :thumbsup2

The country crock one just came out - many stores are not carrying it yet (our safeway no, but our walmart yes). I guess I can't really comment on "many" stores since we have two :lmao:

Bye Alex.

I have got to get changed for work. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: So I will talk to you later Gina!

I've had it a couple times. The first time was at a friend's house, and I didn't really know what I was eating until I'd already had some. (It just looked like small bits of cut up meat.) I told my mom about it, and she asked if it was good, and I said yeah.

So a week or two later she plops this enormous (boiled? baked?) COW TONGUE onto the dining room table at dinnertime. :scared1:

Everyone was so grossed out, even after my dad cut off the outer part. I don't think anyone but the two of them ate any. :lmao:

My dad grew up poor, he eats darn near anything, and actually loves organ meat. Way back when, probably any kind of meat was considered a luxury. :)

Bye, Gina! :)
Bye, Dizzy! Hope you have a good evening at work! :)

DS4 is down for nap, and DS7 is begging me to try out the wii Fit. We'll see if I can figure out how to get this thing hooked up...

:sad1: Rough day at my house as school started. I just got home. Jeff has had me out all day, movie, lunch and shopping to keep me from crying.

Jake had trouble this morning. I tried not to cry also in front of him knowing it would get him going more so as soon as I started I headed back to the 2nd grade area to check on Morgan.

There were about 4 girls with dresses and jewelry on just like Morgan (not the same outfits!). We've had trouble finding girlie-girl friends for her so I'm hopeful since these are new girls in her class this year. Hopefully she finds some good friends with things in common with her.

So I compose myself and go around the building to the kindergarten area. He was fighting tears but didnt drop any as of yet. He did find some boys to start playing tag with so that helped. There are 3 Jake's in his class!:scared1:

So its time to go inside and he walks with the teacher holding his hand so he cant run to me. I took a picture and he actually waved so I'm hoping he had a good time. The last picture he was waving but the others he was crying so hats off to him for being brave.

Now mommy just needs some bravery. I have a DR's appt tomorrow to discuss my headaches and Jeff is off til Thursday so I think Thursday it will hit me because I will be all alone. I'm really having trouble with this. :sad1:

That actually sounds like a pretty awesome start to Jake's day, considering where he was yesterday! Good for him for sucking it up and hopefully making some new friends. :thumbsup2

I know what you mean about Thursday. I'm sort of half looking forward to DS4 being in school every weekday morning, and half dreading it. My baby being gone every morning! No more mommy and me type classes, no more fun little excursions to the zoo, just the two of us. It's a little sad for me. :sad1:

I think you need to start a project on Thursday then, to keep yourself busy. Maybe do a sewing project for Jake? Then he could have something special after his first week at school!

And may I just say... the wii Fit is awesome! We are having so much fun with it! :lmao:

When I calibrated my mii (a little cartoon person representing me on-screen) at the outset, it gave me a choice of several faces, and I chose one with short brown hair. DS7 said, "Oh yeah, Mama, that one looks the most like you." Then when I gave my height and stepped on the foot console, my BMI scale went from Underweight to Normal to Overweight to Obese, and my little mii plumped up like a balloon! I thought DS7 was going to pee his pants laughing so hard! :rotfl:

I said, "Well, I guess my mii looks a bit more like the real me now, huh?" :lmao:

So far I've done a little yoga, ski jumping, table rolling, head-butting soccer balls, and a short run.

DS7 did two short runs and a long run and was barely winded. He was scored as a beginner runner and earned 22 points and one star for each. I, who ran much slower and thought I was going to DIE at the end (it's like a two minute run, for pete's sake! :rotfl2: ) scored 123 points and the maximum stars, I forget if it's 4 or 5. :woohoo:

DS was most disappointed, but I reminded him of my age and lack of fitness, as I'm sure that's why I scored so high.

Ok so we picked up Jake from school and he's covered in blood!:scared1: The teacher told me he had a bloody nose about halfway through school today and was at the nurses office for 40 minutes.:scared1: He said he was crying he was so scared in the nurses office.

Well, DUH, I would be terrified if my first day of school I was at the nurses office too!

Now he says he doesnt want to go back except to play on the playground. sigh

Awe!

I hope he did good Mom. Sounds like he might have had a better day than you. How nice that Jeff could be with you, to help with your :sad1: . Maybe by Thursday, you will feel much better, and it won't be so bad. Bake a cake for the kids for accomplishing their first week of school that day. Or.......go out and buy some really nice expensive jeans, that make your booty look great!:woohoo: Or go bug your Mom!:hyper: :hyper: Or plant a shrub or tree, that will remind you of their first day of school. Let's see................go have a Margarita with a friend.:drinking1 (It's five o'clock somewhere, you know.):rolleyes1

Next.........................

I hope that Morgan does find some great new friends. I know that is always so nice to have. And to have friends with nice parents is doubly important. Ones that you can rust to have Morgan spend the night with, and that sort of thing. You know what I mean.

Take care!

We do not have a Wii or any video game system as of yet although I've heard they are fun. Jake has no idea what they are yet and Morgan said she could care less so I havent felt the need to buy one. We are not gamers too much but it does look like if I were to get one of the systerms I would probably get the Wii since its not so much sitting on your rear getting fat and lazy. (I've already cornered that market without spending hundreds of dollars)

The Wii fit sounds cool though. My friend said hers plumped up too but she's watching it shrink!

Yikes! It looks like I posted too soon.

Tomorrow will be better. It has to be!

I forgot to add that Jake has never had a bloody nose in his life but he told his teacher he has them all the time.:confused3

Jeff and I are thinking he was so stressed out that it happened. I've heard of people getting stressed and having bloody noses if they are prone to it so maybe this happened in his case but he's never had one before. Strange first day.
