Oh uh...about that cd....I thought I knew what it meant and while sitting around having my beer sat evening it flipping hit me....I started laughing until it came out my nose...I am such a dork...

I just ordered the awards for DS7's baseball team. They're cute medallions on a ribbon, with an outer frame that reads 'BASEBALL', and an inner center part of a baseball, and the center part spins around! I think the kids will love them!

I always order engraved nameplates for the back as well, so I stress out about making sure the names are all spelled correctly. I guess because when I was a kid and my maiden name was so hard to spell correctly, it was almost guaranteed to be wrong! Engraved, no less!

Anyway, one more end-of-summer task completed!

DS7 woke with a barky seal sort of cough this morning. He tends to get that with a normal cold, so it doesn't necessarily mean anything, but sometimes it means it's going to get really bad and he'll have trouble breathing. It wasn't too bad yet, but since I'm not sure if he's coming down with something big, plus a lot of physical activity would make him bark even more, we decided he'd sit out gymnastics class this morning. He brought a book to the gym (Indiana Jones, actually!), but first was distracted watching the other kids in classes, then began playing with some toys in the seating area.

I can see why you would want to have all the names correct...who wants an award that looks like its not theirs.....

Right! Like your name is Madeleine, but it says "Madeline" or "Madelyn" or some such thing. Close enough that you know it's yours, but people who you thought knew you well can't even get your name right!

Ok, just back from school. DD got to meet her teacher and I got Alec switched. We are actually going to try him out on full day (1/2 day was just 2 1/2 hours). I figure the part about kindergarten that scares me the most is speaking and peer relations, so I am hoping that full day will 1 open him up to more school resources and 2 help facilitate more play time to meet peers.

We actually met a teacher who was showing him his room, and let Alec know that she would see him a lot because there is a special needs girl in the class who will get a lot of attention. I told her he was special needs to and then it clicked (she thought I called him Alex) and she quickly knew who he was, and said that she would be working with him too

Ok stupid school question, what kind of sandwiches do you pack?

bagel sandwiches(cream cheese and salami), pbj, tuna...what ever they like...he will really enjoy it if you let him have a small choice...this or this---that or that...it makes them feel grown up ....

Soggy bread is alot of why we use bagels....or I put the bread alone in a baggie and they would put their sandwiches together when they would eat...I also bought one of those little hot bottles and would put pizza bites or something like that in them and they were still warm....
