I know for MN fair they have a bargain book with discounts on food/things to buy/rides.

They sell them at our local grocery store (big sponsor) before the fair starts. The books cost more if bought at the fair.

I know. I can never get rid of it because I truly feel he looks at my words sometimes like that. :lmao: I post some odd stuff.

Our fair (called The Fair, actually) has discounted ticket coupons at local stores.

My sis actually called to say she could get cheaper fair fares through work and asked if I wanted her to get some for us, so that's what made me look into it. Turns out The Fair's website has discounted fairs, too, and they're all the same discount. She was kinda ticked, said, "Oh, I'm really feelin' the love now!" :lmao:

The website also listed several "fair backpacks" you could get, fairly inexpensive plus filled with fair goodies, like drinks and snacks and coupons. Only problem is that a lot of the drinks we wouldn't drink (like Rockstar energy drink), and it looks like you can only buy them INSIDE the fairgrounds, so you'd have no choice but to either carry them around all day or toss them. I'd totally get one that had 2 or 3 water bottles in it plus snacks, but I guess Rockstar's manufacturer must be one of their sponsors. :confused3

I did some sluething.. nice size fair..

This is MN's...Overwhelming!

I usually take a pic each yr on a hill to show the crowds walking down the streets. Didn't this year.. but it was packed as usual.. you think Disneyland gets busy?? HAHAHA! Imagine the crowd during fireworks, now think of that crowd walking on a street-- many streets -- and exhibit buildings. :scared:

Some places are more popular than others.. good because we walked into the eco building, relatively light crowd and the boys had fun learning and earning a compass by going to all the stations. I learned some things too and fell in love with a recycled glass countertop-- gorgeous!

My mom talks about going to the MN State Fair with my grandfather. He worked for a dairy and used to make deliveries to the fair and man a dairy booth there. So he'd take my aunt and mom in with him to get in the fair, and when they were older they helped out at the booth. :thumbsup2

Was it the all you can drink milk booth? :goodvibes

$1 and unlimited refills, now it's sponsored by Kemp's (local major dairy company).

It's one of our "must do".. sadly we skipped it this year, the line was NOT moving.

I was overheated and really needed to go home before I passed out.

speaking of passing out... I need to go to bed. Night! :cloud9:

I don't know. This was way before you and I were born. :rotfl:
I think he worked for Bridgemans, or something like that?

Good night, G! :cloud9:

Good morning ladies,

Made it home from Tampa around 10pm last night. It is still blustery windy and rainy but God said let their be lights and we have lights. I was going to remove my public service announcement asking Fay to go away but turned on the news and saw it is now dumping on DS2 who is a UF student in Gainesville. I tried to call his phone to ensure he is ok but no answer. Probably sleeping through it if truth be told.

PS I left before DS1 conned me into doing his laundry :laundy:

New news notice today is if you live beachside (we do) to only use water for personal hygene and to not flush the toilet. Something about sewage to capacity. Now maybe I am dumb but isn't flushing personal hygene? And had you ever followed DS4 in the bathroom you would know how deadly that could be.:rolleyes1

Oh well still happy to be home!:dance3:

Me: What would be your dream job?
DH: Game Warden.

Time to mix it up a bit, let's add DS:

Me: What's your favorite Disney character?
DS: Probably Mickey.

DH: Morning or night?
Me: Both!
DH: Rolling his eyes, now that was the computer answer!

Me: Do you still really think your truck is blue instead of purple?
DH: Yes, it's blue!
Note: DH is color blind.

DH: Johnny Depp or Keith Urban.
Me: Johnny Depp.

Me: Snow White or Cinderella?
DH: Snow White, less family!

So ask DH if I should take the "less family" personally or not?

Hi, Shery, and good morning!

GEESH, how long to go without flushing? That would drive me insane! We just got DS8 to flush after each use, he's always been reluctant. Might have something to do with that time I used a public restroom that had a changing pad over the toilet, and the toilet flushed automatically while we were changing a diaper. He freaked out and about fell off the changing pad! :rolleyes1 :scared1:
