We have calcium and a little bit of lime in our water, but it's still quite tasty water and the minerals aren't bad.

So how much water do you use for the dialysis process??

25 Liters

When we make batch it's enough for two runs..

It takes 3 hours to prime the intial PAK (that has the filters and chemicals needed ) which lasts 12 weeks.

Then we hook up water lines for the faucet to run 8 hours to fill a 50 liter SAK of solution.

Each SAK only lasts for 72 hours (counting from the start of the fill).

Went to Winco this evening, they must have ordered way too much cantaloupe. They were selling them for 33 cents each! So I got 3 of them. Guess what we're eating this week?:lmao:

Speaking of eating healthy, I bought some of those green bags that are supposed to keep your produce fresh for a long time. Has anyone ever used them??

Nope, but they intrigue me... let me know how they work out for you .

So I guess what you're trying to say is it's a whole bunch of water.:thumbsup2

boohoo I miss Winco

We always found deals like that .. at least one produce item insanely cheap.

Then again, they had lots of competition in the area. The smaller markets had good deals too.. encourage people to stop in to buy other than loss leasders, not that we ever did ;)

Grab my cheapies and out the door!

Well need to grab DS's sheets out of the dryer and help make his bed. Then I need to get my rear to bed. Everyone have a great evening!:cloud9:

Dialysis centers use a lot more water than our machine does.

They have huge RO tanks and complex water treatment for ultra purification.

The machines they use has been adapted to hiome use.. but still requires mixing gallon jugs of chemicals and having an RO installed-- no thanks!

There is a new machine in testing phase.. recycles the used diasylate to make ultra pure. Using only 3 liter of fluid. Now that would be awesome!

HE WON A SILVER MEDAL IN BASKETBALL!!! Granted Alecia flipped out because she didn't....:sad1: - but we were so proud of Alec. He was also 4th in the tball toss (no medal). It made us both super happy to see him competitive since he was the youngest kid there!!! :yay:
That's so cool! :thumbsup2

DH says the Law of the Serengeti applies to all snacks purchased at Costco. Hence they will eat at least 3 per day of the snacks. But they will also try to sneak a few of them, plus add weekends to the equation, so those snacks will only last 1 month.:lmao:
Sam, your DH is a very smart man... :rotfl:

I got some sort of ziploc bags for produce. I get annoyed that a head of lettuce is going bad within 5 days! There was a bit of an issue at first, since the head was too big for the bag, so I used a bunch of it to make a salad and then put the remainder in the bag. It did seem to keep it fresher quite a bit longer than the bag from the grocery store! :thumbsup2

We had a great afternoon today. While DS4 napped, I got an email ad for Toys R Us indicating that they had the wii Fit! It was not in stock online, so I called a local store, and they said they had them. So I rushed down there and grabbed on, plus a wii game DH said DS7 was begging for. Since his birthday is coming up in two weeks, I decided to do a little shopping, seeing as how my only chance to do so without him would be today or next weekend.

So I picked up a few other items, then rushed back, fully expecting DS4 to be awake (it was after 4:30 PM) and I was going to take the boys to a local park to play with my friend's girls. But... Ds4 was still sleeping, and DH had tried to wake him and couldn't, he was soundly sleeping. So I took DS7. We met up with our friends and the kids played for over two hours! It was a lovely afternoon, so my friend and I got a chance to talk and laugh with the kids, and they chased each other, played on the playground, and had a blast. :yay:

Well, it looks like you all have retired for the night, so I may as well also. Good night! :cloud9:

Hi everyone. Thanks for letting me know about the new thread. I miss you guys!

:cool1: :cool1: How exciting!!! That is just great Dizzy!!!
That's so cool! :thumbsup2
Thanks guys!

DH says the Law of the Serengeti applies to all snacks purchased at Costco. He thinks Dizzy's husband has purchased only 20 school days worth of snacks. Why you ask?? Because each child will need 1 of each thing in their lunch, plus they will then want them after school, then because each child has a snack, then the other child will want to have more than the first child. Hence they will eat at least 3 per day of the snacks. But they will also try to sneak a few of them, plus add weekends to the equation, so those snacks will only last 1 month.:lmao:
I am sure your DH is right, but so far so good. The stuff is on the pantry shelves (too bad shelves equal ladder rungs in DS's mind), and all right now is unopened :thumbsup2

Good morning, hyenas!
Wow, beautifully sunny today!!! :yay:

Quick fly-by because we have to get off to gymnastics class. DS7 has that loud hoarse cough he gets, so I'm going to give him some Dimetapp to try to quiet it a bit, and he'll skip class this morning. We'll still take DS4, though. Hopefully this will pass quickly.

Hope you all are having a great day!

Good Morning Ladies! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. My day is filled with data entry for July's financial statements. It kind of sucks not having an assistant to do that sort of stuff...oh well, guess I can just suck it up and do the lowly work!:lmao:

Has anyone heard from Albort lately? Haven't seen him on here in a while and was just wondering how he was doing.:confused3

Just kidding ;)

Interview was good, job offer was NONE

Next.

:rotfl:

I guess I was kind of tired!

I got up this morning and read through real fast and noticed what I had done. Oh well..........you know who I meant.

gee guys , thanks for sending thread....jk....it took a while to find....looks like there wasn't any talking going on this weekend...................I thought I would come back and find oh I don't know maybe page 25 or so...........

Camping was fun...except for the bird that had it out for my sister......didn't matter where she sat it would do its business all over her......so as you can guess we didn't want to sit around her....

The dude running the campground was a trip....we timed him..every 15 min.s he would zoom by on his golf car and tell us, move your car only one per spot..(we were all like yea we know we have several spots so we slam them in to try to have a big area for everyone to have room for shade thingies, tables, grills....I don't care just move them...then you would see him down bothering another family that he really didn't like for some reason, then back to the bat cave he went..(hut where his nasty wife was at)...

After a few beers and some horse shoes along with a side of corn hole when he would drive by we would all sing the batman song for him...I am pretty sure he thought we were nuts....but we all thought it was fun....
