DIS'ing from the car. My bf and I were at Target when he noticed his credit card was missing. The server at Red Lobster forgot to return it. We had to drive back to get it.

So I've been having horrible hot flashes again and have been thinking about going back on the Prozac again. I'm sitting here with a giant ice pack on my lap.

I just wish my body would decide what it's going to do, this switching back & forth is killing me. I don't know whether to buy acne medication or ice packs!

Another dialysis run done and things are groovy.

Hope the company makes good on their promise to send supplies by Tuesday, she didn't give us an excat day to expect delivery

Normally we woud be making our own diasylate solution by now.. but we have had several bumps along the road and still no bacteria cultures completed to get the go-ahead.. yes really.. our CITY water is teeming with bacteria

OY that sucks! Especially in summer heat to contned with as well.. though I see fomr your post that it hasn't been too warm for you lately.. you can have our humidity and 90 degrees if you want.. I will send it right to you , then you can blame it on "it's sooooooo hot" instead of the hormones

City water sometimes scares me. We are on well water, but it gets tested yearly to make sure it's ok. When we were on city water we had to put tons of chemicals in our pool to keep the water clear and clean. Now we hardly have to do anything, just a couple of chlorine tablets will last weeks.

OY that sucks! Especially in summer heat to contned with as well.. though I see fomr your post that it hasn't been too warm for you lately.. you can have our humidity and 90 degrees if you want.. I will send it right to you , then you can blame it on "it's sooooooo hot" instead of the hormones

We've been in the 70's lately. But we are supposed to heat up to high 80's & 90's for the next few days. Then cool back down to the 70's for next weekend.

I think I'll pass on the humidity though! Hot flashes are really not like being in the heat though. It's more like being in an aerobics class and sweating like crazy, except you go from normal to sweating in about 5 seconds. Then a couple of minutes later you are back to normal.

One of my big triggers seems to be sugar. I can't eat anything with sugar in it during the evening or it's about 10 times worse. So no ice cream or dessert for me, although the sugar in fresh fruit is ok.

hmmm, interesting.. It might be the way the city water is balanced in terms of chlorination and fluoride....

We use a filter on our tap for drinking /cooking water. We have VERY hard water here, it collects deposits on all the plumbing. I use filtered water for the cat (I've heard of cats developing urinary problems.. due to high mineral water) but still need to scour her bowl each day as I can feel the calcium build up trying to form.. yuck!

We had one apt complex that paid to have water softener for the entire building supply. I bet they had less plumbing problems too.

For dialysis.. it means we will go thru filters faster than typical.

Good night Melody. My sister is doing ok. She went back to FL last week and got some of the info. she needs to present to the judge. Her attorney said it could go either way...judge might decide that he should stay where he's at. My sis came back Thursday, but she took her son and is visiting a friend in So. OR this weekend, she has an appointment with a state caseworker in Salem that is helping her, then she will be back at my house tomorrow afternoon and stay until Thursday, then go back to FL. Then her and my 3 nephews are flying back here on the 12th and the hearing will be on the 15th. But the attorney said not to expect to have a decision that day, could take 2-3 days afterwards.

Overall she's doing ok, I think mentally it's sort of wearing on her. But she's hanging in there.

And when I drink a lot of diet coke.. I crave sweets..

We have calcium and a little bit of lime in our water, but it's still quite tasty water and the minerals aren't bad.

Speaking of eating healthy, I bought some of those green bags that are supposed to keep your produce fresh for a long time. Has anyone ever used them??
