Sorry, I just got distracted on TMZ with a story about Miss Washington. Oyyyyy! When will these girls learn not to have racy photos of them taken? Some of them of this girl she was even wearing her crown. Dumb dumb dumb! :sad2:

Apparently sticking your middle finger out or kissing a bottle of alcohol makes you a bad @-- :sad2:

:scared: The ones they have on the TMZ website of Miss Nevada are 50x's worse. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

oooohhh.. I wanna see!
:rotfl2:

These aren't that racy. She gives the bird, she sticks her tongue out between her fingers in a 'V', photo taken in her bra, photos swilling alcohol, photos snuggling up to a girlfriend, etc. Not like the Miss Nevada girl who was showing off her chesticles and pawing/being pawed/licked, etc...

Okay.. its late, and we have toddler gym in the morning. Night all!

I'm wiped out, so I'm gonna head to bed.

Good night, Staley! :cloud9:
Good night, Pixster! :cloud9:

morning ladies....decided to bribe DD for a little help...we are going to get rid of anything on the second floor that hasn't been used in the last year....and let me tell you there is so much junk its not funny...it all belongs to the kids...old toys, clothes, old bedding etc...her pay off....a queen size bed in exchange for lots and lots of work...(i was getting her a new bed anyway but she isn't aware of it so why not cash in on it...)

When we get back from vacation we will paint and decorate her room...I don't care how she wants it so long as it is clean....SHE IS OUR MESS MAKER..well come to think of it she shares that title with my oldest...he is a slob to....:lmao:

my middle, I don't even check his room...its always clean...he is my neat freak...his future wife will love that:thumbsup2 ...she won't have to clean up after him....the other two...their spouse will hunt me down and blame me I am sure...

and I kicked in a bonus...that new pair of shoes if she cleaned and detailed their bathroom....base boards and all...(this includes her brothers sink...they have 2 sinks in the bathroom...one for her and one for them...and I had a look at their bathroom this morning....its awful....good luck to her;)

so, I am off to pour my coffee and get to cleaning...see ya

Morning Hyenas!!!!

It is sooooooooooo hot here!! Yuck and double yuck!! And then yesterday, we got some kind of weird hazy cloud cover, and then it got kind of muggy.:headache:

I am a firm believer in not being around, when kids are getting lessons. You can spy on them, but don't let them see you. It always seems like kids act up for their parents. Or get very distracted by them. But when they're not around, the kids have to buck up, and try to do what the teacher wants. Now after they have accomplished a feat, then I think it is fine to watch again for that one thing, and give them alot of praise.

I also think it depends on the sport or activity, or even the child, and their age. I would think that swimming is probably the most hardest ones of all, like compared to dance. Water is scary, and the kids find that out super quick, after they have choked on it. And sometimes instructors might have to be somewhat mean in order for the kids to learn. I know this sounds harsh....................but I'd rather have them learn how to swim and be water safe, than worrying about their feelings. And if I was an instructor, and there were parents watching every move I made, and worrying about if I was going to make a kid cry, then I probably wouldn't try as hard.

I watched as much as I could of dance, which wasn't much, cuz the door would get shut in our face. :rotfl: But the teacher would let us watch every once in awhile, to let us see their progress. The first dance studio we were at was cool cuz it had a two way window. So you could watch without the kids knowing it. But alas..............................it wasn't that great of a studio, so we switched. After being at the new studio for a few years, I got to watch alot more often............................but then I practically lived there it seemed like. :rolleyes1

Also there is that fine line, of how much a child can do, and how much to push them on. You want them to learn and have fun, but if you push too hard, then it might just back fire. I think that is soooooooooooo easy as parents for us to do. Let's face it...........if someone else's child can do it, then by golly so is mine additude. It's human nature.

I'm going through this right now with Kaitlyn. She has been attending volleyball camp. Everyday, I ask "How are ya doing compared to the others?" She is very anxious, because she wants to make the team in HS. So I guess I am anxious for her too. No duh!! Well it sounds like she is doing good, but come August we will find out, after she tries out. I will cry with her, if she doesn't, cuz I know how much this means to her. :sad1:

Yikes...................enough of my older mothering advice. Take it or leave it with a grain of salt if you please. :flower3:

I agree with you on not watching lessons. I dont watch dance. They have the one large room without a window and blinds on the other 2 windows so I couldnt even if I wanted to. :rotfl: At the classes they take through the city I always went in the lobby for the hour and read, during gymnastics and karate I run errands. They do better if I'm not watching too.

Unfortuntaly with Jake's swimming lessons you are required to stay. There are bleachers under shade and and so no place to hide. They are only 3 rows tall and I'm not going to kneel down behind them. :lmao: I also wont spend the time in the bathroom.:scared1:

Jake did better yesterday he was just afraid of the backstroke. he kept saying he was going to drown. :confused3 We went to Target yesterday afterwards and he picked out a toy, any toy he wanted. When he thought we were going to get it I said IF you do the backstroke by yourself tomorrow then you get the toy right after. I'm all about bribing if it works. Especially for something important like swim lessons.

For me swimming isnt something we do because every other child is good at it. Its a life lesson. My kids HAVE to learn to swim. No options. Morgan is in swimming at night this session because even though she is a busy girl she HAS to take swimming. She's doing great and I probably put her in too low of a class but at least she will have a refresher coarse.

She also takes diving because she thought it would be fun. Now here is a sport that the girl stinks at. :lmao: Half of her level 3 class moves to diving immediately afterwards and its funny to watch them learn to dive. Morgan goes and flips every time instead of diving straight down. Her legs just flop over and she does a back flop each time. Its really funny. All the parents cheer. (not in a mean, making fun of her way) She comes up laughing! Now do I expect her to be the best diver, of course not, but she is in it to learn to dive safely so when she goes over to a friends house and I hear that she dives off the board I know she knows the right way to do it and not get hurt. She is clearly the worst diver in the class and she LOVES it anyway. She has a blast during that one.

Jake is stubborn, he says he knows something and then he doesnt have to do it anymore. Like the backstroke, he did it for his last teacher but wont for this one. He's a guy and doesnt treat Jake like a baby. (This is my fault I am well aware of) Jake backs off of that a little and retreats. At least he isnt jumping out of the pool like he would have last year so we are growing with him.

I'll report on how the bribe worked later today.

GOOD MORNING HYENAS!

It's not too crazy today (as of yet) at work. I worked OT on Monday and also yesterday. I don't like the weather this week...it's been gloomy at times yet still in the 80's. :faint: It's supposed to rain tomorrow but I doubt it. It would probably feel humid too since I checked the weather and it says it's going to be 86-88 degrees the remainder of the week. :faint:

I'm so happy I get to leave work early tomorrow. I have a dental appointment to remove a temporary crown. My bf has been complaining of a toothache. I told him to see a dentist but he has not seen a dentist in more than 6 years! He brushes well but still, he should go to a dentist. I told him he may have a root canal. :scared1:
