2026 MMB info Announced

1/2 is my LL day but I can’t buy it until I get my AP which I am doing through MMB and OTUP. 😭

I also think I messed up and already booked my full stay for July at Kidani. I had to borrow from 2027 to make the reservation. So now I’m wondering if I can borrow 2027 points for the Annual Pass. I’m thinking not since I’m still in my 2025 UY (March). I think I can cancel off the right number of days to have 51 2026 points available to borrow for my AP. I think they can probably reallocate the points but honestly fixing it myself and then just rebooking it seems easier and smoother. Kidani has full availability in a dedicated 2 bedroom from mid May on. So I think I’m gonna adjust the reservation on the 1st, buy the OTUP and AP on the 2nd, book my LL and then modify the rest of my Kidani reservation.

How does the memory maker activation work? I just bought 2025 MMB for the OTUPs and won’t be able to use the memory maker entitlement before it expires Wednesday - is there a way to let someone else use it? If so, how?

I looked at MDE on my computer and found Memory Maker under tickets and passes, and there was an option to reassign to someone on my travel list. But I haven't tried it.

Yes, you can transfer it to anyone who is in your family and friends list.

Happy New Year to my DVC and Disney friends.

Sanity check, please. If I have 2 direct memberships where I am an owner on each, can MMB be purchased in each membership and can the bonus OTUP be purchased in each? I chatted with MS and was told that the bonus OTUP portion of MMB is only available for one membership.

Are the two memberships separate use years? Are you the only owner on the contract?

Same UY. I am a co-owner on both. Different people are the co-owners (my husband on one and my father on the other).

ETA: I am confusing myself. I know OTUP cannot be transferred. I am trying to buy OTUP in both memberships. I need to book the FW cabins for my SIL and I wanted to buy APs with some points. I am trying not to have orphaned points at the end of my UY.

MMB is for the member. So, each member gets the BOGO free pricing for one set, regardless of memberships owned.

Unless it has been changed, your DH or father can purchase MMB and then should be able get OTU points at that price in one of the memberships they own.

Reports of that last year said yes and I specifically asked it last year since I wanted them in my June Iy and my son was going to get in our Aug UY which he is an owner.

We didn’t end up doing it but that is the only way that it’s possible.

So, you’d need to buy MMB for two different people to get it to work…again, assuming it has not changed.

That is what I thought from previous responses on this thread. In the chat, I specifically asked if I could purchase MMB in one membership and have my husband purchase in his membership. CM checked with someone and said "you are limited to a maximum of 12 bonus One Time Use Points in total, across all memberships".

Honestly, who knows if it has changed or if you get different answers when contacting MS via different methods and speaking to different MS reps.

It is very possible they updated things from the 2025 policy.

The only way to know for sure is to spend the extra $99 and have your DH call after you have purchased, and have him not mention you at all, just state he wants them for the other membership.

You can only get a total of 24 OTUP per use year. You can stagger your 25/26 use years to double dip so to speak

I’d call again. MS tends to be clueless 50% of the time.

I called MS. Bonus OTUP is across all memberships. I gave the example of: If I called and purchased MMB and the bonus OTUP in Membership A and then my husband called and purchased MMB in Membership B and asked to purchase the bonus OTUP, would you look to see that I received the bonus OTUP in Membership A and decline his request for this in Membership B. Answer was Yes - - they would see all memberships and see that the bonus OTUP was already applied to one membership.

It is confusing that certain features of MMB are applied at the member level and other features are applied at the membership level.

I know. I’m tempted to have my husband call and buy MMB conditional on buying the bonus OTUP at the same time. If they say my purchase of them disqualifies him, then he doesn’t buy MMB. Getting him to make the call can be more challenging than deciphering mixed messages from MS,
