My phone battery sucks, and will want my phone for (1) pictures (2) when DH and I split up (and one time will be later in the evening when he takes DD to a meet and greet and DS and I find a spot for the parade. So my battery won't last. We're also very split up during our HS day. (Epcot we'll be together so not as bad if phone goes).

I remember reading there are charging stations. Where are they located at MK and HS? And I suppose then we would bring our charger with us (i.e. as opposed to some universal plug in)?

I'm not sure about charging stations but have you looked into a portable charger? Some are very small (think tube of lipstick) and pretty cheap.

The charging stations in MK have been removed/discontinued. Not sure about DHS.

Really agree on getting a portable charger. We use Jackery which is very small to carry in a bag, was about $40 and holds enough charge to charge about 3-4 devices to a full charge.

Have they discontinued the outlets at the FP- tents near Barnstormer and the ones near Rapunzle's Privy Chamber?

Thanks for the replies. Too bad they removed the charging stations. I'll be stopping at WalMart today so can take a look. Never heard of a portable one.

I have a friend at MK today who just posted a picture on Facebook of a charging station by Space Mountain.

If they are still there, each compartment will have 3-4 different cable ends in it. No need to bring your cable for those unless your phone takes a non standard connector. You swipe a credit card as identification but it won't be charged.

You can also bring your whole cord and charge while you sit in Fantasyland either by the Barnstormer or the Rapunzel bathrooms, but there is no lock box option there so you can only charge as long as you're willing to sit. Any place you see an outlet you can get to really is fair game too, I know a lot of people who find tables near outlets at QS restaurants and charge while they eat.

Portable chargers are a great option. You can find them at Target, or online at Amazon or QVC. I recommend testing them before you need to depend on them. The ones we bought at Target didn't play well with my old phone (would charge it if it was off, but would freak out and stop working altogether if the phone was on--I suspect it had something to do with my phone's desire to automatically upload stuff to whatever you plug it into) but worked well for my wife's phone. Charge the charger each night in your room either off of your laptop or off of a spare charging cord if your charger allows for that.

When we were there in August there were two strips of outlets in the back of the Space Mountain gift shop. it was back near the arcade. Each strip had about six outlets and three stools to sit on. We had our cord and plug with us so we sat for a little and I stayed with the phones while the kids played. I never noticed them before, but normally we ride SM and leave without looking around the gift shop.

I bought a cheap one in the dollar spot at telarget and it worked for us. It wasn't super strong but it would charge a phone if needed and was small. My husbands phone died right before my son was going on at Jedi training. He used the charger and video taped the whole thing and then it still charged his battery to 100%.

My cord broke this week and the resort doesn't sell them. I was able to drop my phone off at Guest Relations in each park and they charged it for me! No more charging kiosks, but dropping it off and picking it up a few hours later was super easy!
