Characters returning to previous character meals?

Does anyone remember how long Garden Grill or Chef Mickey's were open post covid closures before the modified character experience returned? I am going to try to reserve Cape May in hopes characters will return by the end of June. I also was considering Trattoria al Forno in hopes characters would return after Boardwalk was fully open. Speculations?

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but as I recall ...

Garden Grill reopened with characters in July 2020.

Chef Mickey’s opened in July, no characters. Characters returned in December.

FWIW, Trattoria al Forno opened in December and still doesn't have characters, so it seems to be pretty inconsistent on opening dates vs characters returning.

I don't think face characters have returned to any meal, only costumed characters. I'm guessing Disney doesn't want their face characters wearing masks.

Cinderella pops into CRT from time to time and waves hello. It’s not a character meal right now and she’s not always there, but she has popped in to wave hello.
