Character Palooza @ DHS Today!

DD and I found ourselves on the Streets of America @ 4:00 and saw about 8 people waiting around. Because we thought Palooza would be @ 4:15, we sat on the steps next to the Chinese restaurant. As soon as we sat down, a group of 6 Character Attendants came along, smiled at us, and asked what we were doing!

At 4:05, I looked up to see Mulan heading straight towards us...she posed for two photos and she and DD discussed why there were Japanese food items in the Chinese restaurant display! Apparently, only Mulan can meet near the restaurant.

There were at least 8 other Characters out meeting and the crowd of guests had grown in a few short minutes. Overall, it was a very relaxed way to meet Characters. Arriving by 4:00 is ideal to be one of the first guests to meet a chosen Character! I'm going to try to do this again next week!

We have been a few times this Winter, and we are so glad they did this through the slow months. Had pictures with my girls with Snow White and the Queen, with no crowds. So, much better than the summer crush.

I have to say this is one of the WDW things I miss most heading west for our Disney fix.

All were well-behaved. When another guest approached Mulan after we had been chatting for awhile, we moved on. The Characters do a very nice job of spreading themselves out along the block so it wasn't too crowded. A Green Army Man was standing alone without any visitors!

I'm pretty sure everyone on this board knows how you feel about fast pass + at this point but is it really necessary to throw digs even on positive posts that have absolutely nothing to do with the subject.

or at least keep it on the fast+ threads

I am just completely over the back and forth with the fp+ so I stopped looking at those threads. The last thing I want to see is another negative comment about it when I open a thread that should have nothing to do with it. Also, like I said its just been a really long day

FWIW as a side note putting a doesn't excuse all the comments over & over again....it is getting a little old I have to agree humor or not I try to avoid those threads too

In October, we saw an army man, Mulan, Captain Hook, Stitch, and Jasmine with Genie.

I thought you were spot on...always enjoy your posts, and your humor, had nothing to do with FP+ just the usual sarcastic comments that seem to prevail these days whether your tired or not...
