Character Breakfast Transportation Information

Don't you just love that Tyler?

I think when I stay at the Pop Century in November I am going to wear a big tag everyday that says "I love Tyler.":lovestruc

Tyler is AWESOME!!!

Thanks for the tip for the time on CRT, Tyler. The CMs in the Purple Pants made our vacation absolutely fantastic last summer.

and asking...so if I'm staying at BWV and have PS at CRT for 8:20a sounds like I can get a bus as early at 7:00a to get there in time?

I'm so afraid with the reputation BWV transporation has that I'll be late for the special PS at MK. I've heard that BWV is the last stop so can be completely full by the time it gets to BWV.

Help someone, to relieve my fears!

I do have a car and will drive if I have to but this is my first time driving so I'm nervous about that as well. No DH this trip.:(

What would you do?

Be at the bus at 7 am. Even if the bus is at worst late or so full you'll need another bus (again, this is the WORST CASE SCENARIO) you'll leave BCV no later than 7:30-ish. Then you'll be at the MK at about 7:50. It's better to be a little early than late.

Thank you. I was planning on getting to the bus stop for 7:00a I just hope I get there in time. I've only heard bad things about the BWV buses so last year we always drove but I really don't want to drive this year since my DH won't be there.

What if I were to walk to Swan and pick it up there? I've heard of some people doing that to guarantee a seat.

I suppose you could walk to the Swan. Be adviced that it's a 10 minute walk, and you don't want to tire yourself before the day's even begun. If you're at the bus stop by 7 am, you should have no trouble getting a seat.

It was just an idea I got from other BWV DVCers because many have said that by the time the bus gets to BWV it can be standing room only.

Hopefully, going that early, I shouldn't have a problem. I REALLY don't want to drive. I think I'll ask the front desk the night before about the "character bus" and how often it runs and when it starts.

Thanks!

Hi Tyler...here's one for you. We're staying at BWV in August. We made PS for Donald's Break. at AK on a Tues. morning. Not ee there. So, WDW Dining told me that there was no way I would make an early ps if I was coming from BW!! So we had to take one for 10:30. So, what time do the buses actually start from BWV to AK? I just thought it was somewhat curious that dining would say that. Maybe she had purple pants on that day. Or maybe she was correct and I lucked out in getting a knowledgable person!!! So, all the BWV DVCers want to know...just how 'bad' is it traveling on the buses? I don't want to be late to my ps's!!! Thanks Tyler!

I argued with a CM this morning who told me I couldn't book a PS for 7:30 at Chef Mickey's because I was staying at Pop without a car. I told the CM I could hop the Magic Kingdom Character Breakfast bus and then take the monorail from MK to Contemporary when it opened at 7:00 or just walk over. She told me that wasn't possible so I guess I need to call back and go ahead and try to rebook it.

Am I correct Tyler or someone in the know.

She gave you the information on her screen, which unfortunetly, is not correct.

Buses to AK for Breakfastasuarus will start running around 7:00-7:15am DAILY from ALL resorts.

You were correct. Buses to the MK Resort Area for Character Breakfasts will start running around 6:30am. The information she has on her screen is not true.

With ressies at Cindy's for 8:20 I'll be able to catch a bus at the Caribbean Beach before 8:00?princess:

I think Tyler answered this in his last post.

Yes, you will.

My DH gave me a hard time about going to the bus stop so early at AKL, but I told him that Tyler said that MK busses started running at 6:30...Tyler was right on the money. We got down to the bus stop by 6:40 and a bus showed up right when we were coming down the walkway. We were at MK before the janitors so we really didn't need to leave that early, but we did EMH and were at the front of the HUGE crowd so then he was glad that we were there early.

We had an 8:05 Castle breakfast and DD and I did the same thing and we were at the stop by 6:35 and the bus came about 3 minutes later. We were the first ones in the park and I took her picture in front of the Castle with no one else in the pic. We had to wait at MK till 8 when they let the people in for breakfast, but I'd rather wait there than in the room or at the bus stop.

I over heard several CMs at the check-in desk giving bad information to the guests about bus transportation. I figured they were new and didn't know any better. There were lots of new summer hires there when we were there "earning their ears".

I'm glad to hear that everything worked out for those early morning buses. It's one thing for me to say it, but it's another for someone to say, "Yup, the buses were there!"

Tyler,

I'm so glad I found this post! I made CRT ressies for 9:45am on 9/2 because the CM insisted we wouldn't be able to get to the earlier ones. There were earlier ones available but she insisted we wouldn't make them on time. I'm afraid they might be gone by now. . . Anyway, we're staying at ASMo, if I can get an earlier seating, what time would you suggest? Its an EMH that day. Any suggestion would be appreciated. :teeth:

You're probably right, they might be all gone now. But really, anytime is doable. The first seating isn't until 8:00 I believe. If you were out at the stop no later than 7:25, you'd make it. And since Character Breakfast buses start at 6:30, and park service starts at 7:00, there's no reason why you wouldn't be able to make it.

I have a meeting tomorrow with a manager in transportation... I will bring this up to him, how dining reservations are still telling guests this info.
