Character Breakfast Transportation Information

I think Tyler answered this in his last post.

But I don't think that he minds reassuring me and the family members that asked me to post my question here.

Thank you Tyler for putting this here and for EEyorelover22's response. My SIL was freaking out when she realized our ressies were earlier than when she thought the buses started to roll about. You've eased our minds.
THANK YOU!!!

Well, the dining people didn't know that Sci Fi's earlist ressie was 11 am for lunch on the day we were there either. I do know that the catalog people take overflow calls and I am sure that they don't know everything about WDW and probably just read the info that is given to them, but one would think the people making the morning CRT ressies when the phone lines open would be in Orlando.

ooo..I have a question too.. LOL

DH says that Bus's do not go from Resort to Resort... So, for our PS at Cape May Cafe at 8 in the morning, we will have to drive our own car... We are staying at All Star Sports....

*DO* we have to drive ourselfs? Or is there a way to get there by bus, and on time?

We stayed at FW Campground from May 31-June8, had character breakfast at MK at 8:05 when parks opened at 9. When I booked the PS, was told we would have to find our own transportation to MK but from reading these boards and from Tyler, I knew better! Well, walked to the bus stop at FW and bus came, asked the gal in PURPLE PANTS where to go to catch MK bus for breakfast and she said get on, went on to settlement depot and asked again about switching buses and she said just stay on. Ended up taking us to MK drop off and was 20 min early, had to stand in line for a while. I will have to say while we were there, I found the transportaion very good, when we would get to a bus stop, I would look at the time and very seldom ever waited over 10 min for bus, seemed longer at times but the watch didn't lie! Other than I had to go find a camping store one day, I didn't drive for 5 days, just used disney transport, that also included a PS for Ohana one night, took the boat to MK and walked down one ramp and onto another for boat to Poly! Easy. I will restate what Tyler has said, If you want to know about transportation, ASK SOMEONE IN PURPLE PANTS!!:wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Just wanted to say thanks to Tyler for all the great transporation information on here! :)

I called (for the first time) early this morning to get a PS at CRT in the MK. This is for a non-EMH morning at the MK & I was hoping for something before 9 am, so that we could eat breakfast & then enjoy the park around opening.

Well, when I finally got through after being on hold almost 20 minutes the CM didn't want to give me a PS earlier than 9 am! I had been on hold so long that I wasn't thinking when he asked me if I would have a car - I said 'no.' He proceeded to want me to take the PS at 9:40 am. I told him we would find a way there & to give me the earliest one available. He finally gave in & booked us for 8:10 am on Weds, 9/22. He was asking where we were staying & telling me how much a cab might cost from the POP Century.

I understand that he only knows what his computer is telling him, it can be pretty frustrating though. I just really feel bad for all those vacationers that don't know any better & would have either taken the later seating, or paid for a cab. I hope they get their computers straightened out someday. ;)

You can take a bus to MGM, and then either walk or boat to the Beach Club. Or take a cab.

Same thing with Epcot. You can get to Epcot and then walk.

We're were at WDW last week. Our first morning we had a 7:20 ps for Character bkfst at Chef Mickey's. The cm at POR told us the bus marked "Special" would pick us up at 6:45, but we had to go to the central bus stop at POR. We got there around 6:40. Several other families were waiting. We all had been given different info about the bus, so I think many cm's don't know much about the bus service.

A MK bus came by at 7:10. She said she dropped off at the COntemporary. She dropped us off and we were 10 minutes late for our ps, but it wasn't a problem.

I have a resort specific questions regarding transportation for a character breakfast...
I will be staying at Old Key West for the first time in December. I know there are a number of stops at OKW. We have a PS at 1900 Park Fare for 8:00. My questions are, which bus stop do we need to be at (HH or another) and because of any internal running around that the bus may need to do at OKW, is there a specific time we should get to the stop?
Thanks for this post Tyler!

ok, please clarify for this dense blonde (not dumb, just not always as sharp as i need to be, lol).
We are staying at ASMo and need to get to Chef Mickey's at the CR.
(I think this is on MK) by 7:00, do we need to drive or is the bus going to get us there on time?
Thank you

Be out at the bus stop between 6:15-6:30am, and the bus will be able to get you there on time.

I'm so happy to find this thread. I got CRT this morning (yea!!!) for 8:10. I was a little worried about getting from POFQ to the MK on time. I will be driving to WDW, but once I'm there, I park and rely on Disney transportation til its time to go home. So from what I gather on this thread, I should be okay if I get out to the bus stop around 7:15-7:30?

Must add my two-cents' worth. Three weeks ago, we had PS for Princess Brkfst at Norwegian Castle, and we were staying at VWL. Bus driver the night before said buses began running at 7 a.m. the day of brkfst. We were there at 6:55 a.m. and the first bus for Epcot didn't show until 7:45 a.m. We still made the brkfst in plenty of time, but according to our driver that morning, the runs didn't start until 7:25 a.m. and a 7:45 a.m. pickup was at the very end of the allowable time, which is what we got. My point is, get all the info you can from any source and take the earliest bus you can catch to avoid stressing over being late. As a final word, I must say other than that one time, our bus service to and from VWL during our entire 5-day stay was exemplary. :earsboy:

What would be the most efficient method of transportation from WL to MK for an 8:05 AM PS at CP, given that WL only offers a direct boat service to MK.

Taking a bus from WL to the TTC, then boarding a MK Monorail with thousands of non-resort parking lot crowds seems counterproductive.

Also, are all the buses taking early priority seating guests marked "special", and does a WL "special" bus make additional stops at other resorts?

Buses are marked as whatever theme park area they cover.

Magic Kingdom = MK, CR, Poly, GF, WL, FW
Epcot = Epcot ONLY.
Studios = Epcot Resorts
Animal Kingdom = AKL, DAK

For the WL to MK, you'll want to take the TTC bus and then catch the monorail. Day guests are held back at the TTC, and only those with priority seatings are allowed to board. Only the Resort monorail will be operating at the time.

MAKE SURE TO LET THE DRIVER KNOW that you have a breakfast at the MK. If they are running early, there's a good chance they might be able to take you directly.

I'm so glad I found this thread! We have a PS for CRT on 12/8 for 8:10 AM. We are staying at CBR. What time will we need to be at the bus stop to catch the bus to MK? Are we better off driving?

Thanks!

We have a 9 am for Breakfastasaurus, & we would like to be there a little early. (That's my DH) So we could catch the bus from AS Sports around 8:15 & that should give us more than enough time to get there, right?

I figured we would just drive over, but this will be even better. DH doesn't like to move the car unless absolutely necessary.

This is a really great thread. I am glad you posted this information.

Thanks Tyler!!!

Time to :bounce: bump this valuable thread!

Thx Tyler!

Tyler,
After posting this very question and getting your answer (thank you) I was doing a search on Donalds breakfast and found this post!!

This is great info and im going to BUMP you up!

I wish they had the correct Info at Disney Dining, that is really frustrating!

THANKS A LOT FOR THE INFO
i was about to make a booking for crystal palace at MK at 08h00, then the cm said we live too far from MK (we will be in POP), and that there is no bus that operate this early, i said then i can drive to TTC, she said the monorail is not open until 8h00.
i was so mad, i then asked, is it mean that i cannot have any breakfast if i am not living in GF, she said she is just suggesting!!!
i then said if i can have breakfast in 1900 park, then park the car in GF, she said NO, because i am only allowed to park for two hours, so once i finsh the breakfast i have to drive my car back to pop and then take a bus to MK
