Has anyone had luck changing resorts with the 40% off after the March 15 deadline? I have the postcard by the way. :)

I do not think you would be able to do this as they no longer have rooms available for that discount at any of the resorts

Is this because they sold out for all the dates, or because the promotion ended on 3/15. We were thinking of adding a couple of days on to our honeymoon in Sept and were wondering as well.

Call and ask -- and report back here with what you find out.

Several posters have been able to extend a previously booked stay at the discount without trouble.. after March 15th. HOWEVER.. there was availability at their resort to do so.

I'm a scaredy cat....:) I tried to get my husband to call and he refuses because I've changed so many times. I really want to change back to a mod and save the money. My conservative side is really kicking in now.

I'm going to try and call after the kids are asleep and I'll check back in.

I have been unsuccessfully trying to change resorts since Feb!! Do you think they will open up any more rooms later closer to the date? Or are my best chances banking on a cancellation? I need to make my ADR's Apr 3 and they are somewhat up in the air due to the hotel situation..any suggestions for me? I'm trying to move us from the BC to any monorail MK resort. My mom has decided to come and I think with the party at MK and then us wanting to do the EMH for little ones in MK it's going to be tiring get back and forth from BC! (my mom is 67) If only I had booked one when I got my postcard instead of the BC!

I know what you are going through. We originally booked POR and then started to look at monorail resorts and looked at the figures and decided that we could do 7 nights at Poly GV Sept 5-12 for $1550 so we changed before it was to late.

I didn't make it clear in my previous post. My bad.

Changing resorts - several people have reported back - a definite no. You'll lose the 40% off discount.

Extending your stay by a day or two on either end.. several posters have reported back is not a problem if the availability is there.

Thanks Knox, I'm going to leave it alone. I just have to remember that what we're spending with the discount is probably what we would have been spending at the moderate. I'm just too frugal for my own good. :)

Why not call and try? Just tell the CM you were wondering if you could change resorts. They'll either say yes or no, but you won't lose what you've already got just by asking.

Couldn't do it. Looks like I'll be suffering at the Boardwalk.

I tried as well to move our first part of our stay to AKL just so we could try it out and then move over to Poly for the last 4 nights, but it was a no go as well. I guess we will be suffering at Poly. I don't know how we will beable to stand it but I guess we will manage ;) .

I may end up being "stuck" at BC... I did enquire from 3 different CM's who told me I would have no issue changing resorts if available with discount up to 45 days out but that was all inquired before the 15th! So those of you who have tried as well - are the CM's telling you this after the 15th?

Ok.. I might be able to shed some light on this.. I got some info today on this.

For Those Who Are Booked on the 40% Off Promo.....

Extending your stay at one end or the other - a front line CM should be able to do this. As long as your check in date doesn't move outside the travel dates for the promotion and your resort & dates still have availability.

Switching Resorts : Apparently specialists at guest services can do this if they can find availability at the resort. The front line CMs at the reservation center cannot do this for you. Since the booking window is closed for that promotion.. they will continually show no availability when trying to SWITCH resorts.

Apparently the CM at CRO can call Guest Relations. Then if it is at all possible.. they will try to help you out. Not all requests can be accommodated. So.. ask the CM .. they will say no.. then politely ask them to speak to supervisor or call Guest Relations because your understanding is that they might be able to help with this.

Depending on bookings.. even Guest Services may NOT be able to help you.

I hope this helps.

Thanks CG!!! I may have to put your suggestions to the test as I might need to tweek my ressies a bit if free DDP is not offered this year.
