Change of plans and fp's

We were booked at port Orleans, have received our bands and linked our tickets. We've also made our fp choices. Then my husbands boss gave us their 3 bedroom bonnet creek rental for the week as a gift.

Can we still use our bands and our fp's? Can we pay to keep them?

Yes. Just don't cancel Port Orleans until you're within 30 days, or you will lose your FP+ selections.

So does this mean that people staying off-site can book an on-site reservation, make FP reservations at 60 days, and then cancel their on-site reservations at the 30-day mark, keeping their FP reservations?

Sounds like an "interesting" way to game the system so that off-site people could do FP reservations at 60 days.

Yes. And... it's very debatable ethical territory here.
