Went into edit on MDE and was able to unclick 2 names, but now it lists the other 3 names plus guest 1 and guest 2. Do I have to call to take 2 off the reservation?

I believe the only way to edit your reservation is by calling the dining reservation number. Also, assuming it is the same as it was in 2012, as long as someone shows up for the reservation, you are not on the hook for the $10 per person no show fee. So, if you think you may have 5 but are worried about the deposit if 2 of the 5 do not show, that is ok, there is no penalty since 3 did show. You can confirm by calling as well.

You don't have to do anything. When you show up just tell them that you are just three now. You will not penalized.

As the PP said, you cannot change the ADR party size on-line. You have to do that over the phone.

If you have ADRs for 5, but only 3 are going to show up, you will not be penalized (in most cases). Just tell the CM at check-in the correct party size. If there is even the slightest chance that one or two of the other guests will change their mind (and decide they want to join you), I would keep the ADRs for 5. It's always easier to become a smaller party than it is to add guests at check-in. If you know they are not going to come, then you can call and have the party size changed (assuming they have availability for 3 because the system doesn't always know that a party of 3 could be seated at a table for 4 or larger). If the CM on the phone says there is nothing for 3, keep the ADR for 5.

The phone CMs are able to MODIFY a reservation. Just make it clear that you don't want a new reservation and that you just want it MODIFIED. I removed people from many reservations including BOG where there wasn't any other availability (so definitely not able to cancel and make a new ressie) with no problems. I figure with the number of people who REALLY want to eat somewhere, it is only being considerate to remove the people that aren't going to be there for sure so that someone else may have the opportunity to snag a ressie.
