We are flying out of the cold Northeast this Saturday to head "Home". :cool1: We land at 4:50 pm and are taking the DME to SSR. We have requested Congress Park for its views and proximity to DTD. We were wondering what our chances are of having our request honored when checking in at this time? Also, how long from landing to SSR on DME at this time?
Thanks!!

Hi! I've never used DME so I have no advice for you there!

We had a late (9pm) check in at SSR 12/05. We had requested the Springs to be close to the main pool/Artist's Point.

We were given a 1BR in the Congress Park section with a gorgeous view of DD and an easy walk to the same. We were very happy with it.

If you are requesting CP, I think you will have a greater chance of success than if you were requesting the Springs, that is the MOST popular request.

The Paddock is probably the least favorite, but the walking distance is much shorter that what it appears to be on the resort map.

I think you will be happy just about anywhere at SSR!

We were there last week and landed at 2pm and where at the front desk at 3:15. The 1 other time we used DME we got from the plane to the front desk in 55 minutes but everything was timed perfect. You have to check in with DME first, then you go line up to wait for the bus. Last week we had to wait about 15 minutes for our bus.

As for your request for Congress Park. We didn't make any requests when we called but when we arrived they gave us a choice of CP with a DTD view or CP with a water view which was a view of 1 of the ponds overlooking the parking lot. We chose the DTD view and loved it. It was only a 10 minute walk to DTD around the lake.
