Challenge for lurkers

Welcome to everyone! This post caught my attention though. Kathy, I'm from a small town in southern Missouri. Wonder if we're neighbors. My email was read on the last email show. It was the one about bringing back snacks home and the whole thing went off on a tangent about a rocket and a cow.

I live in Southeast MO close to the bootheel and the Mississippi River. Is that close to you?

Kevin....not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I'm going to play the "newbie to posting on the boards" card!

I'm a ridiculous foodie that completely appreciates your candor and detail with the restaurant reviews. My question is this: is there a place on the podcast site where one can access your reviews -- in whatever order -- as standalone files? You've done so many that it may be warranted.

(Que Kevin or someone saying: okay Laura, who exactly is going to do this? Are you volunteering?)

OK John, your plea brought me out.....I LOVE the boards (it's the first place I check each time I go online) and I thoroughly enjoy the podcast. I listen at night after my husband has gone to sleep and I'm constantly waking him up by laughing too loud.....he gets too much sleep anyway, right?

I really enjoy the webcast and read the Boards often. I have posted twice and now for the third time. I agree with the earlier comment from Andrew that there do seem to be some unwritten 'rules' which make a newbie feel a bit hesitant. Overall, I enjoy the Boards.

Hi! If it's not too late, I thought I'd come out of lurkdom, at least for the morning!

My name is TaraLee and I'm from just outside of Philadelphia, PA. I found the boards as I was planning my DD4's 1st trip last year.... we leave in 44 more days!!! I started listening to the podcast in April, and have been trying to make my way back through the archives.

Friends here at home don't quite get my addiction to the planning, the boards and podcasts.... but I've been trying to explain that you all have become my happy place! Things here at home and at work have been stressful, to say the least... but I now have a happy place to go to! Thank you, to everyone for that and for all of your hard work!

Thanks for the invitation..I have lurked on and off for a couple of years, but this June I downloaded the E-ticket App and notice I lurk more often.. This past May I downloaded my first podcast and was hooked. I also went back and downloaded the older ones.
I love listening to the ones with Bob, he reminds me so much of my own father. Our Dinner table growing up, and even now, sounds like your round table did. Making fun of made up words and crazy logic It does not hurt that my father was born and raised in Boston, so the accent fits perfectly. Maybe it is something in the water up there.
Don't get me wrong, I love the current crew, John you crack me up, your subliminal humor is hilarious. Kevin, love your reviews you have a talent, and I agree with almost all of your opinions. Corey and Julie are great and add a great dynamic to the round table and it is so fun to hear them talk about their children. Teresa and Kathy are great they add a little magic and laughs to the podcasts. Pete and Walter, are so funny together (you are a lot like my husband and I, opposites in many ways) and add such a great spin to the show, and no I am not forgetting Max, although he is mostly quiet on the show it appears that he does so much behind the scenes to make the show great.

Thanks for the invite John, it's nice to know I'm not the only shy person around who hesitates to post. My whole family really looks forward to the podcast each week, thank you to the whole team! My DH especially appreciated the tip to try Celebration Town Tavern. He agrees that their clam chowder is the best he's ever tasted. I hope
